Hello from Canada. I am always so impressed, and envious, of how tidy these little countryside villages are. No clutter and signage and brick-a-brack everywhere. Shows a true sense of pride and community.
Thank you all for watching and for your continued support. Please check the description for more information on this beautiful walk. Do leave a comment and give the video a like if you enjoyed this walk!
So THIS is the village of Oxfordshire! It pleases me so much because I have always wanted to visit the UK. I expected the village to be bustling with activity because in today's world it seems that all the solitude is being gobbled up and forgotten. I am guessing that this was filmed in late winter early spring. On a day like today in Pennsylvania, 🇺🇸 I call days like today Battle Ship grey. Somber, quiet days that force a person to stop and notice the quiet layers of felicity. Curled up on my bed, with one of my dogs laying at my feet while waiting for the rain to fall as the sun sets and the night begins. This visual experience gently put me in place of content to finish my day. Thank you!
I feel a connection to England, and particularly the countryside, that I cannot explain since I’ve never been there. It is my goal to come and make some of these very same walks that you share, but in the meantime I want to thank you for your wonderful walks captured on video! They only fuel my desire to see these places for myself! Thank You!!!
Ken, I feel that same connection , with no desire to live in a large city. I've never been either and truly hope and dream to visit one day! It fuels my desire also but maybe a bit too much so ☺
Looks like I’ll be getting the chance to realize some of these walks in person! Daughter and her husband relocating from the US, to Oxford England in July!! Passport time!!
An ideal village to live in, the tranquility and beauty of the houses, the vegetation and the cleanliness make the mood beautiful. Congratulations to the residents, greetings from Algeria
What a quaint village Filkins is. I love that nearly all the homes are made of the same stone. Sad to think that there isn't any services in the town. Lovely walk Kevin, thank you. 🥰
Thanks for getting up early and filming, so enjoyed seeing the lovely houses. You’d be snookered if you couldn’t drive if you lived here I suppose. Thanks so much, subscribed as only just stumbled upon your site, am off to watch more, brilliant!
Filkins is a charming, quiet and very pleasant village. The old or more recent houses stand side by side in a beautiful ensemble. Some houses are really old and rustic. Very nice walk. Thank you for walking us like this 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞
Wow! I know there are many places like this, but this has my imagination running wild! Lotta history here. You can almost feel the people from centuries past. This village needs it's own history coffee table book with photo's of the homes with their owners from days gone by. I imagine just the history of the village and it's people from it's beginnings would make a great dramatic mini series. Enchanted!
I have always loved looking at pictures or movies of the English countryside. So glad I found you on RUclips. Hopefully some day I can make the trek from the US to the UK and see it in person. But will enjoy seeing your videos in place of being there. Thank you!
I knew at once it was Oxfordshire, so pretty, calm an free of those horrible nasty purples, lime green colours. Well done to the local council/planning people for ensuring the area stays calm and quaint. So lovely and peaceful.
I'm surprised I didn't leave a comment as I know I've watched this walk before (although, I've re-watched many of your walks ) Perhaps I felt I was a bit too enthusiastic and I do tend to go on and on as you well know by now Kevin. 🤭. I do get really excited when you show a church(s) and the cemetery (graveyard? I'm not sure what constitutes one over the other and google wasn't much help ; ). I love how you put "Enjoy every moment completely" as that's exactly what I do!~~~Jo💞
I am learning, along with you. I never thought of this but this is what I found: "In the UK, the terms "graveyard" and "cemetery" are often used interchangeably, but traditionally they do have slightly different meanings. A graveyard is typically a small burial ground located on the grounds of a church or chapel. The term "graveyard" is often used in a more informal or colloquial way to refer to any burial ground. A cemetery, on the other hand, is a larger, more formal burial ground that may be located near or far from a church or other religious institution. In modern usage, however, the distinction between a graveyard and a cemetery has become less important, and the two terms are often used interchangeably to refer to any place where the dead are buried" See you in the next video 🙂
I can't believe it's been 4 years this week since my last visit here . Your beautiful walks make me feel like I'm there . Thank you for sharing them with us . Have a wonderful day . 🇨🇦💕🇬🇧
In the job I did for 36 years, I delivered fuel to cottages in villages all over 11 different rural counties, some were beautiful, some were run by one family, some were run by the local "Lord" (with his hunt), and some like this had an atmosphere of being too quiet. Groups of normal sized houses, overshadowed by million pound mansions hundreds of years old. There were the happy, pleasant, "people get on with each other" villages which was great, but although the Cotswold villages are beautiful and can be a reminder of the real England now gone, but, I always found the atmosphere of who's who in the village, and know your place. I wasn't the only driver that found this.
Still 👍from watching Bourton-on-the-Water last night before bed. Outstandingly beautiful. This is lovely as well. It’s irritating that I’m using the same adjectives from one walk to the next. The split in the road at 5:20💙…decisions decisions😂. Bet the one not taken is beautiful too.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed both the Bourton-on-the-Water and this walk. The Cotswolds truly offers some breathtaking scenery, and it's always a pleasure to explore and share it with others. Thanks again for watching, and I hope you continue to enjoy the walks!
Morning, I have never been to Michigan but hope the snow eases soon. Does the snow cause much disruption to your everyday life? We had snow here just before Christmas, but nothing since. We had a lot of rain and cold snaps, and now its dry and pleasant most days.
Beautiful English village, bringing back to Newton's days. I'm in New England. The villages here are different, though Mount Holyoke Collage are of the similar atmosphere.
Hi friend how are you . I liked your peaceful English village but here at my village we like high sound as caribbean salsa songs. We're very noises ! Greetings from Buga city Colombia South America
What a depressing looking village. Light brown buildings, no bright colours anywhere. I know it’s a winter walk with a drab grey sky. But the only bright colours were 2 red cars, a blue car and blue wheelie bins. Even the pub didn’t look inviting. In other countries, houses are painted in different vibrant colours, at least in St.Ives in Cornwall, they go to the trouble of painting houses white. I’ve seen a cemetery with more colour.
I would walk here all the time just to appreciate all the hard work put into building those stone walls. They are beautiful, thank you for the walk.
You and me both.

These buildings are likely all listed properties. As such they are protected by strict laws limiting what can be done with them.
Amazing historical place, i love it my friend!

Yes, one of the many villages, the city centre is much busier. Thanks for watching
Great video. Beautiful village. Thank you.

I would LOVE to see this village in summer! Full bloom and color.

The villages are so clean and tidy. And what a good way to stay in shape and enjoy the early morning walk. These videos are great
Thank you for this walk
So beautiful
Beautiful place
Đẹp quá, nhìn mơ mộng.
Stunning architecture. The beautiful, and rich green grass is perfect "antidotum" for our white, Canadian winter. Great walk❣️
Stay safe in the snow, Barbara. Thanks for watching!
Very quaint
What a stunning little village! The most beautiful architecture, and I loved all of the quirky nooks and crannies, thank you for taking us along
I think I saw my dream home in this video, beautiful stone built cottage. 😍
Wishing you all the best.
Maybe one day your dream home will become a reality. Thanks for watching
@@KevinTheCountryman yes, maybe one day.

Thanks, Maria.
I like that much of it has been preserved. It definitely adds to the beauty of the place.

Lovely walk with birdsongs and beautiful stone homes!
That was lovely. And you didn't ruin it with music and selfie shots. Subscribed. :o)
I so agree - can't stand the dreadful music people put on some of their vids.
Awesome, thank you!
Once again....a good and healthy walk around the village......very nice
It's so cute the way the camera bumps up and down when you walk - makes it feel so real! Beautiful work. Wish I were there.
So beautiful and soothing, not too many graves in this video. Thank you so much from Canada!

And the Five Alls does a great Sunday roast. Very nice video. I feel like a jaunt that way now.
Oh nice, thanks for the information. Happy Sunday!

Good morning from Michigan! You have so much green grass over there. We have snow.
Morning,
I have never been to Michigan but hope the snow eases soon. Does the snow cause much disruption to your everyday life?
We had snow here just before Christmas, but nothing since. We had a lot of rain and cold snaps, and now its dry and pleasant most days.
Yes, we had enough snow to stop local busing and to close schools. Your Christmas videos were stunning.
Thank you, stay safe.
Perfection video
❤❤❤
Hola de Argentina, que hermosas villas !!!!!! Están lejos de Londres? Hermosas tus caminatas
Gracias. Los pueblos que he registrado hasta ahora están a unas 2 o 3 horas de Londres.
Beautiful English village, bringing back to Newton's days. I'm in New England. The villages here are different, though Mount Holyoke Collage are of the similar atmosphere.
Imagine, where is everyone else? So quiet and peaceful. ❤️🇳🇬

👌🏻👍🏻
Нi! WНАT's TНЕ name of village?? So nice a peaceflly in it.
Filkins in Oxfordshire. It's in the video and also in the description 🙂
mình rất thích nước Pháp....
Everybody must stay inside around there 😂 Maybe it’s odd to me because I’m in Florida and people are everywhere 😝
Video would have been more enjoyable with a commentary or captions telling those of us who don’t know the area where you are visiting.
Fiquem por aí , bem longe do mundo atual
Construção linda, antigas, mas é uma vila que qualquer um entre em depressão, triste demais, mas valeu o passeio São Paulo Brazil

The quiet drab will soon turn a brilliant lush cornucopia of vibrant colors. The buildings sit in wait for their beautiful spring display
Sorry , Filkins.
nice walk beautiful country which is being torn down by the uninvited guests coming in is it as peaceful as you make it out to be??????????????????
What sort of intervention would I put in place to make it seem more peaceful than what it is in the video? 🫣
I would like to know if it's still as beautiful since your friends have been arriving on your shore but noone will tell me
James, are you OK?
Kevin? Canyon tell me?
