Hello!!
I decided to skip on the intro in the actual video, since some prefer to get straight to the point anyways and I really really just wanted to get this video out already!! But there are some things I wanted to touch on.
If you haven't already, I strongly encourage you to watch How To Draw Basic Anatomy video first, you establish all the basic shapes there. Here's a link: • How to Draw Basic Anatomy
KEEP IN MIND, this is not the only two ways to draw people, as there are so many different body shapes and sizes and I WILL be touching on that more in the next couple videos.
A lot of beginner artists, myself included, tend to draw what they feel most comfortable with and confident drawing. For me, I always would draw girls. I drew them so much that eventually when I tried to draw guy characters, they always ended up looking very feminine. On the opposite end, some people are so used to drawing guys that when they draw girls, they just throw boobs and lashes on there and then they end up looking like very masculine women.
Don’t get me wrong I love feminine guys and masculine women as much as the next person haha. But as an artist, it can be frustrating when you’re limited to only drawing people in a certain way especially when you had the intention to draw something else.
That’s why I’m going to show you these two body types as an easy way to explain various concepts to the extreme, so that you can understand the differences and use them in whatever ways you want!
Also, disclaimer, I’m not professional and these tips may not work for everyone, nor is this the only way to draw bodies it’s just a very over simplified method.
That is all, thank you for watching and enjoy :)

I have been struggling at drawing , i cant even draw stickman properly. I tried to watch every single tutorial on youtube from big channels, most of them aren't specific enough. Finding your channel is like finding diamond in the cave, tysm for making these awesome videos i hope you will make more in the future.
Exactly
agree we need more tutorial
This helped a lot with making my notes more clean and was easy for me to comprehend and pay attention to compared to most how to guides for anatomy
I'm glad to hear that!
My art style changed in 30 seconds because of you!(I always struggled with proportions until I found your channel
s a m e
same here
Thank you for making these. I'm going off of your other tutorials and I've improved substantially
That's great!!
I had so much fun watching throught your video! Great tutorial as always from my favorite art content creator. I aspire to be as good as you one day :). You have motivated me tons to continue drawing and improving my skills. Thank you so much!!
That's great!! Glad I could help :)
hi I just started drawing because I really want another way to express myself and I always thought drawing and animating was amazing and you have been the most helpful then anything and I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you and how I'm using your channel to learn how to draw and I really love how you explain stuff
Great points, always love your step by step explanation. Interesting how small changes really do make a difference!
You don’t know how easy this is to follow! I’ve been watching videos for days so confused and this is the first one to put it in more simplier terms 😭 😭 😂❤
Hi! I really like ur vids, bcoz all people who try to "explain" Anatomy say to simplify thr body into shapes but didn't include a single shape. Your very good at explaining anatomy and it inspires/motivates me to study/draw anatomy more and more
I love your videos, they help me so much in learning art. You're an underrated artist RUclipsr and I think you deserve more attention.
Edit: I think I'm falling for your voice.
Thank you so much!
Hey, another person that has improved by just watching two of your videos.. I have a suggestion, how about a detailed video on hair?
I believe I have one! Just gotta go through my videos to find it 😅
AHH YOUR SO UNDERRATED! ILYSM YOUR VIDEOS HELPED ME SM! :D
what??? I watched the first video and instantly improved. I watched this one and now I can draw both genders!! Tysm, I appreciate all of your videos. Do you have PayPal? I’d love to donate to help with the channel 😭
Awwh thank you so much!! I do have a Ko-fi that’s connected to my PayPal, it’s one of the links in the description and I use it for an easy way to take donations if you’d like to check it out :)
@@Shanspirational I just bought you some coffee ☕️. Enjoy :)
@@Shanspirational while you enjoy the coffee, I’ll enjoy getting better from your vids. Tysm. Also, can you maybe make a video on how to draw where a hand is going close to the camera from 3d angle kinda thing? Not sure how to explain…
Thank you!! I really appreciate that :) I'll keep that video idea in mind
Hey check out my recent vid i show how to do this!
Hi your tutorials are super nice and so easy to under the basics. I request to please also explain more advance levels of anatomy including angle changes in torso which I find very confusing and also proportions for sitting figures. Thank You so much 😊
Youre so nice!! Thank you so much. Im working on a gift for my boyfriend and thanks to you the sketch is done! Im super excited & super grateful. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Aww thats so cute glad I could help
Your tutorial's has helped a lot thank you
Glad to hear that!
This helps so much as I’m really bad at doing man torso female waist as you could see from my videos 😭 this really helps. Could you do a tutorial on shoes/accessories????? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I learned alot from all of your tutorials but can u make a poses tutorial ❤
When you're trying to come up with poses you should look on pinterest/ life drawing sites that have all kinds of cool poses to reference!
My only problem with this video is that the male biceps is behind his lats, other then that this video has taught me so much about drawing. Keep up the amazing work!
DO A PART 3 PLSS UR VIDEOS ARE AO USEFUL
Thank youuuuu I’ve had part 3 in the works for a couple months now but I’ve got one more video I have to finish before I can focus on that one 😭
This is amazing,
Thanks a lot for this type of tutorial,
A little need mam, can you please make about more reference poses video
Like how to find/use reference pictures? Or a vid of me drawing various poses for you to follow along
@@Shanspirational yes madam and thanks for your reply
My paper ended up crumbled, in several pieces, and across the room because no matter how hard I try it ends up terrible.
I'm following the tutorial exactly but yours looks so good and mine looks like I'm 5 or something.
I don't know what everyone else is doing that they're improving :(
yes
i am not that good at drawing but my main struggle is arms can you please make a tutorial on it
Thank you
So if we are making a child based character do we just small scale it or is the jaw and body gonna be different? Also I just started drawing and I love how helpful this was to making proportions.
Also is it smart for me to practice on paper before I move to keyboard and mouse on my P.C or no?
I would say child anatomy is a bit different, I do hope to touch on that in part 4 of my anatomy series (part 3 is gonna be focusing on fat and muscle) also you can practice traditionally or digitally it’s up to you. Traditional is better for life drawing I find but when you’re trying to perfect the anatomy it’s easier on technology cuz u can move things around and edit the drawing easier, but that’s all preference
@@Danger-Yuri actually reading that over seeing you use a mouse- personally I feel like that would be very challenging to master in of itself so I would definitely go with traditional paper first
thanks, this helped a lot!
you got you stuff here
blessed 🙏
روعة❤
U r awesome
Do you draw on photoshop?
yes!
9:07 🔊
PERFECT
Aa glad you enjoy it!!
@@ShanspirationalTank you and ı subcribe❤
need more more tutorial so bad
9:42 I'm sorry, why the male arms look like Franky from one piece😅
Franky is a good example of an exaggerated triangle body shape!
i luv u
interesting
how'd u get access to this it isn't public yet??
@@Shanspirational lol
I'm a transgender guy and I'm trying to draw myself so I have to mix both the male shape and female shape which you didn't mention
I actually posted an anatomy video prior to this one that is more gender neutral! This video is very stereotypically emphasized to explain concepts for those who struggle with drawing certain features
