Well...maybe there is more to Safi than just the kind and spirited young woman and promising writer. Those threats against Lucas about turning his son against him, Gwen killing Safi's book deal and I am pretty sure that she also screwed Vinh over, after he slept with her. Safi is shaping up to be Max's own Rachel Amber experience.

@@Doomshroom00 There were some sides to Rachel that Chloe had no idea about and probably did not want to know about and right now it seems something similar is going on between Max and Safi.

@@NicVandEmZ I am more suspicious of Gwen than of him. Especially because she obviously has a burner phone and recieves calls from a certain person on it, which she doesn’t want seen on her personal cellphone. And I doubt that they would pull exactly the same thing with the sleazy male professor again. That would be a horribly bad move, to put it delicately.
@@kidoftheforce I feel like those are all red herrings, like every character probably has some weird suspicious secret or some weird connection with Safi that makes it seem like they have motive and means but the whole time it’s Safi possibly appearing as Max plus the developers hinted at the shapeshifter aspect
