I am expecting to buy the Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 in Europe. Here we can get the RTX 4070, as well as 64 gb ram. The price difference between 32 gb ram and 64 is very little, but I was wondering if there are any backside of getting the 64 instead of the 32 gb ram? Yoga pro 9i vs 2023 zephyrus m16? Latter is available open box for a little over $1500 but you lose battery power, sd card, and gain a heavier overall package but you gain a 4080 at that price
Still prefer yoga pro 9i. Zephyrus fans can be unpredictable, not a fan of Asus software, and remember that the Yoga Pro 9i still gets 100W of power to the GPU. If you're going to play games at 4K resolution then sure, go for it.
Are you having Wi-Fi issues? Specifically, the Wi-Fi service is breaking and disable and re enabling the driver temporarily fixes it and of course a reboot.
Are you talking about a MacBook? People who need a MacBook will buy the M1/M2/M3/M4 no matter what. This is the more bang-for-your-buck Windows edition.
Thank you, I’m a graphic designer and in shopping mode, this helped a lot. Do you have a recommendation for a 360 or great pen support with dedicated gpu? Asus is expensive and they don’t have decent trade-in, meaning they don’t support their products, and it’s not just them, actually all big brands except Apple and Samsung.
I was hoping for a mid series refresh with amd zen 5 to get a little better battery but I think this is the laptop I'll likely go for. That or I saw the zephyrus m16 with a 4080 from last year is selling open box for $1500ish at BB. I'm conflicted because the battery will be even worse but at least you'd get the ability to have 64gb ram and a 4080 it I decided to run any local AI.
@@karikaru I don't game at all. Just basic web browsing and office work plus school. So yeah! This laptop is overkill. But it's so fast with a great resolution that it makes reading long papers so easy without being an OLED. Plus their 32GB Ram is future proof for tye next 5 years or so.
Do all screen versions have 60hz? Hmm... I don't know whether to buy this version or wait for the next one that is coming with the Intel Ultra 2 series. According to what I saw in another video, these processors are more efficient and give better battery performance. I don't know to what extent it is worth waiting for a next version. How many hours of battery life does it give under normal use?
I don’t recommend waiting for a version with the new architecture. Compromising cores for efficiency for slightly better single core performance and significantly worse multi-core performance is not worth it. Unless you are a writer or on the browser for a long time, you don’t need 5+ hours of battery life. The Yoga Pro 9i is in my opinion the best all-rounder laptop right. Battery is sweet as well.

In Norway, the Proart P16 with 64gb and 4070 costs approx 4000 USD whilst the Pro 9i with the same specs is 3000 USD. For me, it's a no-brainer.

The power button issue can be mitigated by going to BIOS and enabling power on when lid is open.
that will not prevent to power button to be activated when the lid is closed, but just able to power-on when lid open bro...
My whole point is that it doesn't matter if the physical power button fails completely.
The power button on the side is a bad design choice. I've had my laptop's power button damaged in the past as it was in the exact same position.
I recommend going into BIOS to see if there is an option for enabling power on when lid is open.
I would love to see a comparison of the screens. IPS vs mini-LED.

I don't think there's downside to 64GB ram. Most people won't appreciate the difference, tho. The power consumption of RAM in idle is negligable.
