Oh, those frustrating memories. I think I bought an OEM system with the K6-2, but built my own using the K6-3. It was always a challenge because the world was intel-centric, so us AMD fanboys had to jump through countless hoops to get AGP and general system functionality working in those Win9x platforms.
@@THEBaratusII I remember being an early adopter of NT, beta testing Win2k and discussing it on the old planet quake forums. Unfortunately all of those experiences are so faded in memory, I don’t remember most of it.
I swear on my life that the first time I played HL2 was on a IBM aptiva with a K6-2 at 450mhz, 256mb of ram, the steam client used a whopping 32 megs of ram back then.
Incredibly intriguing coming from someone who wasn't even born when these hit the market. Hopefully it doesn't come across as insulting but as for some constructive criticism, the music in the background was a bit much given the mood of the video, as well as some grammatical issues but hey I'm a hypocrite, nonetheless good shit yo
@@skoolby Thanks for pointing that out. I've been meaning to dig and sort out more electronic tracker music for these types of videos. Or maybe lower the music volume a bit more so it doesnt entirely blend in with my narration? Maybe show me some timestamps on where it got a bit much if you can. As for grammatical issues, that I've been slowly working on with practice. Regardless of that, glad you enjoyed it. ^^

Yeah, a friend of mine told me a similar story. Though I kind of wonder how it would handle Windows NT-based OSes?

Hey are you working on a Doom wad or smth? :o
Not at the moment. But I am working on a multiplayer map for Blood.
@@THEBaratusII I'd love to compose music for it or anything if that's something you'd be interested in
Interesting! Do you have any tracks and contact information you can provide? Perhaps I can give some tracks a listen and maybe we'll see.
