    hi i had some tests done in november and my fibrinogen levels were really low but the doctors are not saying anything about it. my rbc platelet count dropped by almost 100 also. it was normal in bloodwork i had done just a cpl weeks before in two separate labs. what cld that possibly mean. im suddenly experiencing joint, muscle and internal inflammation and now losing weight and even though i’m still eating. one doc is saying it looks like RA bcuz i started experiencing some swelling in my right thumb knuckle but only in my right hand

    AT 13:20, Warfarin will not increase thrombin time since it works by inhibiting the synthesis of vitamin K that will affect the synthesis of prothrombin, however in TT test, thrombin is directly added to the plasma

    does anyone have an answer for why liver disease causes prolongation of PT and aPTT? I understand that it does, but can't find a reason why despite the links with prothrombin production and vitamin K

    • @anandiamrutiya1746
      @anandiamrutiya1746 2 года назад

      Because liver produce the factors which helps in coagulation process. So if liver is damaged then factor will be low in blood and clot won't happen thus PT and APTT will be prolonged. Simple!
