About:
Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on RUclips videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!

it's so rare, now a days, to find couples who are able to grow together! I love that y'all were highschool sweethearts ❤. I met my husband right out of HS and we were married in '97, I love seeing other marriages that are able to stand the test of time (and tribulations).

What a cute couple y’all are! ❤️ Looking forward to being with you as you develop your homestead! PS Do not listen to Justin about goats, he’s just fearful of their eyes. Dairy goats are a great homestead animal, so easy to care for, absolutely wonderful milk and meat. We are 70 yrs old and care for our goats, grow our food and raise chickens. Cows are just too extra‼️

Cool beans guys, it's really nice to hear about the origins of a relationship and know that your still going strong. My wife and I are coming up on 8 years that we are together and my parents are passing 57 years. It's good to have a positive roll model !!!

My hubby and I visited Biltmore and explored the gardens and pathways also a few years ago. It was very beautiful. I bet there are a lot less people this time of year there. Makes a nice date time -despite the snow😀

Wow! Such a beautiful couple. My husband and I met in 1977, started dating in 1979, our Senior year in high school.. We married in 1982, been together ever since. May God bless you with many more blessings in your marriage and future plans.

What a lovely story and the pictures were fantastic. You made a cute couple then and still are. Lorraine is right about how you grow with each other and people do change along the way, in what they do, where their passions lie etc etc, Though I would not say change, but what their passions and believes were in the beginning become more mature as you go from year to year with each other , but you become more than that, you become, best of friends, companions, love grows stronger and you get to respect each other. I have been married now 43 years and still going strong. Lorraine and Jason may you continue to have a blessed, happy, healthy marriage in years to come.
