Great list, Rob! I think, in honor of Dan becoming an on-screen member of PS Access (I know he's been there long time), I think you should do "7 Best Characters Introduced Halfway Through A Franchise" or something along those lines =)
I honestly wouldn't mind if Rob did speak like that irl. I'm Glaswegian through and through (Scotland, Glasgow for anyone who's confused). Nothing wrong with his way of speaking. I find it quite refreshing.
Seriously Rob, please never change. I admit I'm overall a sucker for lists about video games but yours is the only one I really look forward to on a weekly basis. It's really your personality, humour aswell as the great chemistry with your mates that sets your videos appart from all the other lists on YT.[/fangasm]
Rob, I love and always look forward to your Friday Feature videos. They never fail to bring smiles and chuckles. I constantly wear a grin of delight throughout the video just listening to you passionately talk about video games. You are the man!
Juan Escobar Rojas well I think it was a bit harder then other souls because in this one the shield became absolute which was pretty much the strategy for most souls games
These lists actually gives me a list of games I should be buying 😂! Makes life easier than reading reviews, reading spoilers or just plain gambling if the game I bought will be good (which is not bad if you land on a good game though).
Man bioshock infinite was a very interesting setting. It was like the whole world was hiding behind a mask it was kind of a happy bright feeling even though it was truly dark and intense
I love the charming production value of these videos. Keep it up guys! Also, how about RE4? That game smoothly pioneered the third person, over-the-shoulder shooter and strayed far from zombies and cities with raccoons.
Final Fantasy XV's setting really changed the series by making a world map with a bigger scale and explorative factor. Shame we only got to really explore the one continent though. Great vid as always Rob!
Its not exactly a sequel but I remember how excited I was about Final Fantasy X and the fact that it involved spoken dialogue which was something unheard of in previous Final Fantasys
I don't know just how much it shook up the culture of gaming, but for me, the transition between the 1st Prince of Persia and the 2nd was VERY gritty and jarring! In the end, I really ended up enjoying it, but initially, it really was quite an unsettling shift. Also, I agree with others: you guys (and gal) really put up great content and Rob you are an unquestionable powerhouse of wit and a naturally engaging personality in front of the camera! Thank you!!!
Excellent video Rob, I greatly enjoyed this one! The especially liked how you make the connection between the first and the last entry, and then mentioned how it has changed gaming since. Thanks a lot, see you next week. :D
I just realized that you guys need to change the ending template of the video to include Dan. It's an outright travesty that the hand puppet takes priority over the newly employed human.
These lists are always sooo strangely accurate with my everyday life. How did you know 10 year old me was always playing Gta 1 as a kid because my older brother had it and we just loved running around being bad. Literally, I had Gta and the crash bandicoot series.. Those were essentially the only games I could play as a 10 year old. Parent logic... Well to be fair they never knew I was playing GTA now that I think about it.
Thank you for showing love to GTA 3, the game that kick started my love of modern gaming. Sure, I've beena gamer since the NES days when my dad bought my sister and I the NES bundle that had the Running Pad for Track and Field, the Duck Hunt gun, and of course Super Mario Bros. And that love carried on through to the Sega Genesis and original PlayStation, but somewhere after RE 3 Nemisis I lost interest in gaming. Even after the PS2 released I still wasn't interested in getting that system...until GTA 3 came out. Then MSG 2 released too and I was suddenly all about gaming again. I got GTA 3 and Max Payne along with my first PS2 and I haven't looked back since.
Portal 2 had many shifts of setting/environment while playing through the game, from the run down vegetation covered test chambers, to the pretty all built chambers, to the behind the scenes of the lab, to the abandoned underground, back up to the now broken new lab, this game is amazing really.
"like medicine" I haven't even watched the vid and you already made me laugh out loud... which is harder then it would seem with my inability to breath because I'm sick home from work :P
I'm just gonna say I lost the game, not only because I just did, but so I can remind all of you about it and make you all lose, and so I can be sent reply emails forcing me to keep losing.

That Dr. Pepper bit, reminded me of Hot Dr. Pepper. I haven't had any in ages. It's wonderful. Served in a mug with a thin slice of lemon, it takes like a cider, or a type of Hot toddy.
I say Need for Speed Underground is arguably an example. I say arguably because maybe some people prefer the old style of supercars in picturisque locations, but you cannot deny that Underground was a hit and a fan favorite.
Driver turned into the Watchdogs series. I don't know if this would count as a sequel to you but if you do, going from being a playable car to a huge open world human character with abilities to hack the streets and people's phones is pretty massive.
While my love for both you rob and the rest of the crew is unending, are we really going to brush over the fact that the words sea man really came out of your mouth without laughing
final fantasy should be here and I'm surprised it isn't because of the love this channel has for it. it used to be a straight up classic fantasy game and then it went industrial and then sci fi.
Can someone help me, i have a Playstation 3 slim and it started to light a blue led to the left of the eject button on the curved part, can someone tell me what is it? could it be broken, should i be worried? been searching everywhere and got nothing.
it works fine, just scared something is broken, it lights even when its on stand-by, should i stop using it and take to a technical assistance? should have been something on a mannual or alike about this light and what it means?
vitor sampaio oh okay it must be a fault with that particular one you should contact where you got it from but keep playing it isn't gonna blow up or anything lol
Can't think of a bigger shift than Fallout 3 in the Capital Wasteland - not only a whole new sprawling environment but also a 1st person, non-turn based masterpiece!
@@wolfman5181 The turtle was the last thing I did. It ended up taking 45 minutes, which is a lot, but seemed like nothing because I had been expecting it to take closer to three hours. Going from the action/adventure of Darksiders to a modernized RPG in Darksiders 2 & then yet another change to a more Dark Souls gameplay in Darksiders 3!!!
I nominate Darksiders 2 as a sequel that changed setting. Not only did you play as a different character from the first one, but they added RPG elements, pieces of equipment that you could switch out for better ones and a much larger open world to the game as well. Not to mention the DLC areas that made the game even longer than before.
Red Faction Guerillas shift to third person and making it open world changed Red Faction in my eyes. Gone were the days of seeing just how deeply you could tunnel in the land scale, but also every part of every building could be ripped apart.
I think ESO shook up the Elder Scrolls series pretty well. Elder Scrolls games went from a very large open world single player game to a MASSIVE open world Online game with millions of people playing daily. It changed the timeline of the game and gave even the storyline element so large and diverse and Skyrim event said "That's not fair! Why don't I get that?"
*Far Cry series* from an oppressive war-torn African nation, to a tropical archeapelago to the beautiful Himalayan mountains. Also a futuristic dystopia and the stone age if you count the off-shoots and expansions. *Killzone series* Vekta in Killzone: Shadow Fall was a colourful change from the gritty and tricoloured (gray, red and black) aesthetic of Helghan. *Fallout series* From an isometric turn-based strategy game to a real-time FPS/RPG hybrid.
Dragon Age 2 vs. DA:O, depending of how you define "setting". WoW vs. the Warcraft games (one hell of a change of setting!). One can also mention several of the Final Fantasy games; Square do like to change things up every now and then.
It's not the second in the series, but the reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise with the fresher just named "Tomb Raider" for PS3 was the most glorious new/different/sequel I've seen in years.

I expected that too.
Rob is such a funny and bubbly guy, his wife would be lucky to have him
Jerry Yawning then don't watch his videos if you don't like him (rob is great)
You know he does that for the camera right, I highly doubt he is like that all of the time.

He is right though. Dr. Pepper tastes like cough medicine at room temperature.
サパリーヤスシャント I like cough medicine
Tolyngee serious i always thought it tasted like vanilla
i think that is because soda used to be medicine when it was first invented
I haven't had Dr. Pepper in over two years, so don't quote me on this but... doesn't it taste like medicine _regardless_ of temperature...?
could be worse, could be root beer. that stuff tastes exactly like TCP.

Jak 2, GTA that parents were okay with.
jak 2 is one of the best games ever made in my opinion, the challenge, the art style and the polished action platforming makes it so memorable for me.
Victor Sullivan The funny part was i never saw Jak 2 as diffcult. But then again i play the Soulsborne game like its a goddamn religion.
Juan Escobar Rojas souls games aren't that hard compared to bloodborne
Corvo Attano Bloodborne wasnt that bad though despite some select bosses...
Juan Escobar Rojas well I think it was a bit harder then other souls because in this one the shield became absolute which was pretty much the strategy for most souls games

There's this obscure little Japanese series that changes with every entry. You've probably never heard of it, but it rhymes with Binal Bantasy.....
mark mclean I cracked up at your comment.
mark mclean they're designed to have standalone stories in each game, there are rarely any direct sequels
I think you mean Vinyl Vain-I-See
Nurin Tajul linal lantasy
is it some weird porno or something
Final Fantasy XV's setting really changed the series by making a world map with a bigger scale and explorative factor. Shame we only got to really explore the one continent though. Great vid as always Rob!
