When you have a 9-6, you just can't get good at multiplayer with what precious free time you have. Your reflex is slower, you are more tired and you don't know the map as well as the little ones. Thank God I got out of multiplayer while I still have my dignity.

@@chriswood1821 yeah, its so hard getting a D&D group to have regular sessions when you and all your friends are in your mid 30s, maybe once a month get a day that everyone is available and then someone always has something come up at the last minute.

Just like with all things in life.
21 with working 50 hours a week and weekend visted my firends in my former hometown (need to move away for a job) where I don´t have a pc or other console.
30 this year and i went through this, you have to make time for it. Where as a kid you just sat down after chores and homework and went to town till bed time.
I'm slowly coming to the realisation that my time as a student is almost up, so I finished FF9, 10 and Persona 2 in the past three weeks. I don't want a full time job, someone save me.
Become a freelance worker and do some you tube. If I were you I'd pick up freelance programming, there is a lot of competition but you get a pretty good salary.
Only way you could pull that off is to live with your family for the rest of your life or if you do move out, stay in a long term cheap motel room with no significant other and no kids.
Also, I miss the days when I would actually WAIT until I finished a game to buy another one. Now it's like the anime race against time where you play the games as quick as you can to stay topical on discussions and fanart.
Ya, that's thanks to larger access to information for me. As a kid, I never even heard of most games till I spotted them on a shelf at the video game store, or got a glimpse at a magazine in the supermarket while my mom shopped.
Anime race? I don't watch an anime before it's a complete season. I'd rather wait three months for a full binge than wait two weeks between every 17-minute bite of story. But then again, I don't discuss anime much either. There's too many people who know far too little or far too much in those discussions. I've even maintained my "monogamy", although there are more games I don't care to finish these days. As a kid, the lack of alternatives makes you play every last bit, even if it isn't that good...
Crash being hard...? Remember that little scene in Uncharted: Thieves End where you can play Crashy B? Oh, how I laughed when I saw it. “Of course I’ll ace this! Old school crash, it’s eas....oh, i failed. Again and again and again...”
Rob: Hey Brain Rob's Brain: *yes?* Rob: God of War is coming out soon.. Rob's Brain: *yes* Rob: And we've got lots to buy this month.. Rob's Brain: *yes :(* Rob: Two birthday's and a council tax increase.. Rob's Brain: *yes.. :(* Rob: Should we just buy it on launch day? Rob's Brain: *Yes*
I really have to pick Witcher 3 up again... Such a good game. Thing is - if I do that - I won't be playing Bloodborne, or Yakuza 0, or FIFA, or Gran Turismo, or Hitman, or Crash, or Mad Max, or Ratchet, or Mortal Kombat, or GTA, or Deus Ex... And to think God of War, Red Dead, Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima, Detroit Become Human and Days Gone are coming out soon... 😬
I was on fallout 4 and was like now I want to do witcher 3 and then persona 5 video popped up and I’m like ugh I want to finish all these great game and I also have to add God Of War and I’m debating Spider-Man
I heavily disagree with No. 4! I have some games I stopped playing because I got stuck somewhere and could not finish them at their time (e.g. Dark Chronicles, Crash Bandicoot 2, Night Shade...) *BUT occasionally a few years later (sometimes 15 years later!) I dig up the old titles and manage to magically beat them - Finally!* Seriously, I have a few games I just was not good enough as a Kid/Teen and I needed to get past the magic age of 30 to finally beat them!
My parents kinda didn't want me to play videogames as a kid, but sorta allowed it sometimes. So whenever I had got a game, I treasured it a played it over and over. Golden Sun 1 and 2 introduced me to JRPGs.
I agree on Crash Bandicoot, I remember pre-teen me being absolutely excellent at platforming and completing every level with ease...now, more than a decade later, Crash Bandicoot caused me to scream into a pillow.
Gemma could also be the case where the controller is different. PS1 controller is direction button, whereas PS4 is analog stick with too much SENSITIVITY! With different amount of pressure it can mean walking and running, not to mention precision jumping... urgh!!!
I still put aside several hours a week because I treat it as my “alone time”, but the biggest change I have noticed is getting burnt out on games quicker which I find odd because I have less time to play them lol.
Interesting I've noticed that too. It's not burnout but more like I don't want my precious gaming time to be only one game .Okay a few missions in batman a few levels in mega man 8 okay lets finally play Jill in RE2 a few races in Grid 2. You get the idea. The only game I can play for an hour plus is skyrim
Token Black I’ve been doing that same thing for the past 2 years. spreading my available time in different games and it made things worse I think because now I have a bunch half-way played games. Every time I’m going to play, I spend infinite deciding what to continue, and some games you even feel lost when you go back to. I have restarted Metal gear Rising like 4 times because I always forget the controls. I’m going back to one game at a time because at least I get to finish something before moving on
Which is why I now stick mostly to single player games.... with 2 lil ones & the wife I can pause them at will & completely turn off my PS4 when i have to, then turn it on & continue where I left off!
Same here, when I was 15 I finished Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the SNES twice in one day, now when I try to play it again i can't get out of the first stage Lol
Rarely have time to play videogames, and when I finally have time to play... I fall asleep while playing from how tired I am. I still keep trying to though.
Bad camera and clunky controls: the original Tomb Raider with the original, non-analogue PlayStation Controller is literally unplayable to me by today's standards, especially after having played the more recent versions and Uncharted games!!
So i'm 31 years old now, the other day i walked into a BT Games to buy Witcher 3 for myself. I walked up to the counter to pay, and the guy behind the counter asked me for my ID... I havent been asked for my ID since i was 16 (the age you can get ID's in South-Africa) I just asked the guy "Do i really look younger than 18?"
I remember when I got asked for ID XD I was like 28 at the time and I was like "They still do that?" Hahahahaha it's so pointless esspecially with Steam being a thing.
I've gone and bought cigarettes for grandparents, alcohol for myself, and video games. You know what I've been Id'd for out of all of them? Video Games...
I don't have any kids and I basically own my own business. So, I work whenever I want to work. So, there have been days where if I am playing a game and I want to play more of it, I'd just take off that day and keep playing to my heart's content. And I'd get plenty of sleep too. See, I am enjoying my life NOW instead of waiting until I am 60 plus years old!
'The Legend of Dragoon'. I occasionally recall the memories I have of playing that game, but could never dig up the name. It has eluded me for 15 years. You have helped me in regaining a piece of the past. Thank you Rob.
Then it's not you to blame but the people who clearly have not a single bit understanding of video games and probably buy their kids games that are meant for adults and then complain about the sex and violence.... why again do we have these age-ratings? -_-
The most relatable thing is not getting asked for an ID anymore. I'm going to be 27 and sometimes will just hand my ID to a cashier to feel a little younger
Been there. I just turned 25, and now I feel old and disappointed when I wasn't ID. Although I always looked older when I was a teenager, so wasn't then either. :)
Rob: "No time for gaming, doing adult things, my in-laws want my attention..." Welcome Rob--to the world of portable gaming!! So enjoy that shiny Vita :)
I think games are less fun now... Or I'm too demanding. I can remember playing gta san andreas for days and months... It didn't get bored. Nowadays in gta 5 i get bored really fast. I don't know why, but it makes me sad.
You get bored because rockstar ruined gta with the oppressor mk2 If you have ps4 I really recommend playing horizon zero dawn it’s a good game and doesn’t have loot boxes and stuff like that only 1dkc
When we are younger, we are more exploratory in nature because we don’t know many things. As you grow older, you would know how games are made and the limits of what you can expect.
yes it's true but I don't think is games, it's us , I used to enjoy a lot of games when I was a kid, nowadays I'm lucky if I buy 3 games a year. I used to grind for hours straight on open world games that were almost empty , now I get bored in half an hour in games that have hundreds of things to do.
Rob needs a vacation... Well a stayinhisroomcation. Once I have kids if my boyfriend wants a day alone to play games without interruption I would give that to him. Mainly because I would him make him do that for me.
It hasnt been all roses and puppy dogs... Hes had to put up with a fair bit of bullshit from me. (No cheating or anything like that) But he stuck by me when most people would have left and we came out the other side stronger.
MrZaboomafoo822 ma dude u will bet the right half of my bung hole you'll have to work hard for the lady of your life, I know cause the girl I dreamed of as a boy (just like me, wears glasses, fair and a smile of the heavens) turned up in my class. But you see, if we'd have met earlier, our relationship would have reduced others to ashes of jealousy, for our behavior and thought pattern would have been indistinguishable. But the last year was catastrophic for me and I've changed a damn lot, these days I'm trying to walk back to how I was... It's terribly hard, but she's ripped straight out of my dreams, so I'll do it...
That last one hit me right in the truthbag, I haven't finished a game in ages, usually because I'm only doing side quests, but I can't help but only buy 100+ hour games I can only put time into once my girlfriend goes to sleep, which is coincidentally when I should also be asleep. Not sure how that became a thing, but it is the allthing now. Jafeels
When I first played Majoras Mask I had such a fun time running around Termina, meeting new characters and fighting new enemies that I didnt have time to notice how sad and lonely of a game it was. Nearing 30 now and having experienced my life all but fall apart at one point, I know EXACTLY how helpless Termina's residents feel, knowing that soon their world will come to an end and there's nothing they can do to stop it.
Probably just me, but I have no idea how I was able to handle grinding and sudden difficulty spikes when I was younger. Pokemon Sapphire: I had a Swampert by the third gym. That's at least 10 levels above anything the gym leader had, how the heck did I manage that? Digimon World 3: I don't recall having too much trouble against anything up till I got to Amaterasu server, but on a much later replay I was barely surviving fights in the Badlands and in certain underwater segments on my first visits there. Only thing I can think of is that I must have done a crapton of grinding, which brings me back to the question of how I managed it. I absolutely HATE level grinding now, and having to do a couple hours of grinding turns me off!
Seriously, Rob is correct...on all counts of being an adult. When I was young, teen through 20's, I was good at the Tekken series, Street Fighter 2 and 3, and a few others. Now, I can't even defend myself on Sleeping Dogs. SMH.
Spot on Rob! Two weeks ago my 16 year old nephew was looking over my collection of games, and he told me I really had to play Skyrim. I told him I had to find the time to play it, I already have a heap of games I've not finished. He muttered something about yes, you work. Then he compounded matters a week later when he very sweetly bought me Dishonored. I still have to pick it up from the post office! The life of an adult... And yes, I do have the greatest nephew in the world.
Akroma 349 Buuuuut, if you have kids, once they reach a certain age, you can spend some of your quality time with them playing video games. So two birds with one stone type of deal. You just gotta raise the kids right (teach them to love games like yourself).
Jan Christoffersen The key is to have a significant other who is also a gamer. Then you can either play together, or you can schedule times to trade off. That being said- I don't have kids, and I have no idea how anyone who has kids has any time or money left.
Rob, there are only two options: either EVERY SINGLE PERSON you hang out with has never seen your Friday Features or you've slowly lost people to hang out with because of what you're constantly saying about family gatherings and social events, how much you loathe them and such. Then again, that might be your goal, so you get to have more time for games. I might actually follow suit. On another note, I think growing up doesn't necessarily mean we get bad at games. I remember getting murdered by the Phantom Heartless and that other dick in the sand in KH1, but then, playing the remake on PS3, I destroyed them on my first attempt - same thing with Sephiroth. Now, I'm not sure if it's because, for some reason, the remake was made easier than the original, in any case, that's what happened.
Absolutely on point! I'd add 2 more things to this list: 1) I no longer get to admit freely that my hobby is video games, otherwise I'm perceived by my colleagues as lazy (even though no one judges anyone that way for saying they binge-watch netflix for hours). Finding others with whom I can discuss my love of games is like finding out who smokes in a state where it's illegal (which, of course, I don't do either...). 2) Video games are far less social for me now. Call me lame, but I'm not into playing with people online, especially strangers. I miss the days when playing games with friends was like playing a board game on the screen. I even miss taking my controller with me to a friend's house, or asking the same few friends to brings theirs so everyone else could play as well.
All of theses is completely true. I had my first born 4 years ago. I. Completely forgot about the ps4 until this nirning, when I THOUGHT it was only out for 2 years. Woops... My bad... It has been 4 years now. And parenting makes time fly like never before.
My God, I could listen to Rob all day. So many things here apply to all the adult game players. Hell, even back in the day years ago as a youngster in my 20's I still managed to plough through games. It's a lot harder now, but there are days when I make a rule and say 'Ok I don't care if the sky falls down I'm playing this and this tonight etc'. I realised back in 2008 when I started playing mmo's seriously (the wonderful FFXI and later FFXIV, among others) that I had to stick other games on first or else nothing else would get played if I put FFXI or FFXIV on before them. Still ploughing through my library of games from my Atari 2600 all the way up to XBOX ONE, PS4, PC, etc. At the moment I'm currently in a fit of buying PS1 games to add to my collection, some of which I had literally not touched in years, and some that I wish would get the remake or remaster treatment, such as the incredible Vagrant Story. Anyway, time to stick on FFXIV and get some more quests done!
Oh my god. This is the realest video that's ever videoed. My ever expanding backlog will one day consume me, my family, my home, and at some point, everyone else. RIP.
Not having to justify your choice to a parent. Yes dad, that does look like a dress. Yes, I think its a he. No dad, you cant kill hookers in this game.
Playing long video games like rpg games when you have a family and a job is very difficult . I barely have the time to finish a 20 hours game. That's why, I can only play one maybe two RPG game a year.
So many are true for me as well. But I feel I've gotten better at alot of video games. Some not. You look great to me Rob. Thanks for the laughs. Cheers
Totally get all of these Rob! 33yrs old with 3 & 2 yr old boys. Time, responsibility, money all gone! I long for just a few days to escape in an rpg. When I can play after bedtime is a success I end up (sometimes unknowingly) playing into the early hours in case I will never get a chance again, thereby sacrificing precious sleep before the 5am wakeup and causing misery around me with my sleep deprived grumpy demeanour...but it was worth it for a few hours of escapism in a world like the Witcher etc.
Two years late to the party. Sadly, I didn't even get the chance to be good at video games because I was in my early thirties, married and with 3 young sons when I started! Tomb Raider original. Husband and I tag team played, I did exploring and puzzles, he tackled timed or difficult jumping etc. and when we both got stumped we looked up online walk throughs. In no time my youngest was beating me at Crash Team Racing and coaching me at Legends of Dragoon battle system, our middle boy was rushing us in Diablo 2 Expansion runs, and our oldest swapped Elder Scrolls unmarked locations, uniques and best builds. We still do & he is 30!
I'm like you. I recently watched a God of War review after buying it....months late of course because I have a backlog because I don't have time to play these games. The review said at least 35 hours of gameplay..."35 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!!! WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT?...I SURE DON'T. I DON'T HAVE THE LEAVE FROM WORK FOR 35 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!!!. These game developers are something else..they are really something else" Now I'm compromising sleeping and eating so that I can beat this game and then get Assassin's Creed Origins to try to beat it before Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out in Oct. Good Luck to me!!!
Assassins creed origins is way longer than god of war. Still playing origins since december 26. 2018 with over 120 hrs of gameplay which includes treasures in every cith so far and with 72 of 78 teleports unlocked here still playing and havent beat all the dlcs lol
That first one, about not having as much time to do our hobbies as we once did as kids... That really made me sad and I have a sense of Existential dread all of a sudden
The one I had to learn as an adult was "never underestimate a good single player campaign game". When I was 14 or 15 I couldn't get enough of multiplayer, now I'd kill for a really good submersive campaign. I haven't been engrossed in a game since Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Don't get me wrong, I love apex but man....i miss good single players.
Rob - this is one of the most enjoyable and relate-able Friday Features you've ever done, and your writing is always superb! Well done.
Totally agree. This was really well made.
Yup that's my favourite RUclips video since months probably
Why did you hyphenate relatable, you psycho?
When you grow up, you realise-
*Single player games are love,*
*Single player games are life.*
When you have a 9-6, you just can't get good at multiplayer with what precious free time you have. Your reflex is slower, you are more tired and you don't know the map as well as the little ones. Thank God I got out of multiplayer while I still have my dignity.
when you grow up? Even as a kid I preffered single player games. XP
There's something I find almost intimidating about multiplayer only games. I don't like being someone's cannon fodder while I try and figure out how to play the game. Being able to practice on AI/bots is a feature I appreciate a lot.
Always been a single player person, but over the 20 years I've been playing video games I've come to hate multiayer more as tine progressed.
man i got a 9-5 and i will always get online , i grew up only child and could never have company so i never played co op mode 😔😔😔😔
I think the majority of the audience that love this channel are around our age. 28 - 34.

And... Your wife.
Lol yeah, I thought he was going to say your significant other
So very true
10 am to 10 pm gaming sessions? Get your facts right: 10 pm to 10 am gaming sessions 😉😂
You are right of course -Rob
TheFrozenFire 10 am to 10 am mate
10 AM - 10 AM - 10 AM (the next day) - 11 AM (the same day) -> fall asleep during the middle of your game, waking up to see your playtime 10 hours longer than when you fell asleep -> reload last auto-save, -> 10 AM - 10 AM.
:)
Once agent 3 days as a kid. Spent the next few days after constantly napping
10 am to 10 am the next day
Rob is the kind of guy everyone loves.
Be like Rob.

Re:1
I'm 38.
My wife is going on holiday with her mum next week. I've the week booked off work.
15 hour sessions, pizza and wine await.
Being an adult isn't all bad.
Unless you have kids. You have my sympathies.
nice mate
You naughty dog
how does it feel now that she's back? lol.
I've gotten 2 of those breaks this year... it's amazing; that would sound horrific if I told myself that when I was younger lol.
Whenever I had to travel for work, I would take my PS1 with me along with a couple good games.
Nice, sounds like a good time lol.
Adults: I have no time to play anymore
Cornavirus: hold my beer, you will
Good joke!
bwahaha! nice one. yeah i'm 35 and just picked up my first gaming system (xbox 1) since college to fill in this time. after i bought it i realized i prob should have bought a ps4 based on the type of games i usually like. eh. i'll just buy that too.
Coronavirus: *cracks knuckles* I got this...
Not when your job is classified as an "essential service."😅
This video was so funny and true. My game time usually comes on Friday nights after everyone is in bed. But by the time I get into a game I start dozing off too.
This is so sadly true
That's so true! I can't stay up late like I could when I was younger! LOL
Oh man. I feel you brother
just wait until when the kids are able to play with you...for now you'll just keep waking to a shutdown PS in front of you!!!
Me too
I like how you show that specific RE7 scene when you're talking about in-laws and family gatherings.
"We really ought to be making a move soon" Rob says as Jack moves his hand quickly back and forth, cutting Lucas's hand off :D
gold
In-laws are sometimes worse than that family
Biggest change that i lament is the death of couch co-op. Split screen multiplayer was the best! Now games are all online by default and its just not the same.
Yeah it really sucks :/
Yeah i miss those times
There are a few games that are exceptions, such as all the Jack Box games, and that Cheffing game that is in the PS Store highlight video of August.
Just buy Jazz Jackrabbit 2 again from GOG and have fun with it. It has split screen.
Divinity has split screen. But yes i miss couch coop especially now i have a gaming other half and no new coop games! Bleaugh!
I sometimes feel that Games and I have matured together...well games have matured and I've gotten older.
I feel the same. I'm in my mid-thirties. Video games have been a part of my life since my childhood Nintendo/arcade days. I've played most systems and mastered every gaming genre at some point in my life. Now they're my go to option to relax and disappear in fantasy land for a few hours. I doubt I'll ever out grow them.
@Travi M Same on all accounts lol.
winner
Love this comment. And it fits me to a tee.
1) Kill NPC
2) Reload
3) Kill NPC again and giggle

Bold of you to assume I was ever good at games in the first place
I'm 47 and this year is my 40th gaming anniversary. My first taste of gaming was my cousin's Atari. My first actual console was an Acetronic MPU-1000. I can relate to almost everything in this video.
.Bless You
48. Similar.
All respect for you Sir💪
Coming up to 46.
Fully relate :)
How incredible has the evolution been fella's!?
Acetronic? I had an Acetronic! It was my family's first console and I've had a console or computer (ZX Spectrum) ever since. I don't remember the full name of it though - when talking about it, I just call it the budget Atari {:o)
I’m 19 so I’m kind of at the awkward stage of life between youth and adulthood, so this video made me feel both grateful and depressed
DanFarrell98 same. Im 19 and im holding on to my games no matter what. All the great games get better with age anyway
CHERISH IT. CHERISH IT ALL.

Find someone that looks at you the same way Rob looks at a JRPG.
I'm slowly coming to the realisation that my time as a student is almost up, so I finished FF9, 10 and Persona 2 in the past three weeks. I don't want a full time job, someone save me.
Become a freelance worker and do some you tube. If I were you I'd pick up freelance programming, there is a lot of competition but you get a pretty good salary.
drug dealer make your own hours
It took me a long time to finish 10 can’t believe you beat 2 other games along with it
Only way you could pull that off is to live with your family for the rest of your life or if you do move out, stay in a long term cheap motel room with no significant other and no kids.
Dread it...run from it...destiny (full time job) arrives.
"I won't finish [Ni No Kuni II]"
Note to past Rob: "You finished that game and you even got the platinum for it!"
You’re not old Rob. You’re just experienced. Totally different.
Each piece of lost hair is actually representing each game he has mastered and completed.
I don't age anymore, I level up.
You could be age 35, or you could be level 35.
Awesome as always...I am a gamer since I was 9, now I am 40 years old..I know exactly what you meant and had a lot of fun watching this
fanaticofilmes Aye, I like seeing older gamers out there !
Yes
Crash being hard...?
Remember that little scene in Uncharted: Thieves End where you can play Crashy B?
Oh, how I laughed when I saw it. “Of course I’ll ace this!
Old school crash, it’s eas....oh, i failed. Again and again and again...”
Rob: Hey Brain
Rob's Brain: *yes?*
Rob: God of War is coming out soon..
Rob's Brain: *yes*
Rob: And we've got lots to buy this month..
Rob's Brain: *yes :(*
Rob: Two birthday's and a council tax increase..
Rob's Brain: *yes.. :(*
Rob: Should we just buy it on launch day?
Rob's Brain: *Yes*
Rob's brain is a man of few words.
Yh if a brain is a man
TheBlockBreakers I do this All the time
I had to wait until when i got paid in May of that year to buy it because birthday, bills, kid needed things to be bought
1:46 at first I was like whoa 12 hours, then the memories came flooding back of 12p to 3am Pokémon grinds at birthday parties.. miss those days lol.
Very bad sign that.
AoGbeverage16 😮 is this good news or bad news?
I'm the opposite bought either 3 and fallout 4 a month ago still yet to start the former
I was on fallout 4 and was like now I want to do witcher 3 and then persona 5 video popped up and I’m like ugh I want to finish all these great game and I also have to add God Of War and I’m debating Spider-Man
Good, Witcher 3 is better than any of those.
' yeeeees ' - Robs brain (2018)
JayRK777 perhaps a sign of brain decay...
"Hey Brain?"
"Yes"
That was really funny XD
I heavily disagree with No. 4!
I have some games I stopped playing because I got stuck somewhere and could not finish them at their time (e.g. Dark Chronicles, Crash Bandicoot 2, Night Shade...)
*BUT occasionally a few years later (sometimes 15 years later!) I dig up the old titles and manage to magically beat them - Finally!*
Seriously, I have a few games I just was not good enough as a Kid/Teen and I needed to get past the magic age of 30 to finally beat them!
Just dont get married and have kids and you will have plenty of time to enjoy.
You and your misery xD
currently 33, not married nor children, only dating, plenty of time to play videogames and happy
@@Crcvmbdfl I envy you.
Eh my friends dad works and has like 6 kids at home and he still plays like 3 or so hours a day.
Lol. XD as for the marriage thing. I am getting married. Tbh. My wife doesn't really want kids =/
My parents kinda didn't want me to play videogames as a kid, but sorta allowed it sometimes. So whenever I had got a game, I treasured it a played it over and over. Golden Sun 1 and 2 introduced me to JRPGs.
Wow, this is unbelievably accurate
Rob seems to be the most relatable guy in youtube haha
I agree on Crash Bandicoot, I remember pre-teen me being absolutely excellent at platforming and completing every level with ease...now, more than a decade later, Crash Bandicoot caused me to scream into a pillow.
might be because the games physics were changed since they couldn't replicate the classic crash
Gemma could also be the case where the controller is different. PS1 controller is direction button, whereas PS4 is analog stick with too much SENSITIVITY! With different amount of pressure it can mean walking and running, not to mention precision jumping... urgh!!!
You've both made me feel better about my failures thus far XD
I'm the same. I wrecked Crash as a kid, but now it wrecks me. 😣😣
The conversation with your brain was priceless!!!! LMFAO
I’m going back to one game at a time because at least I get to finish something before moving on
It isn't Friday, until the Friday Feature drops!
Friday is the best day of the week purely because of the friday features
This statement is a scientific fact
Which is why I now stick mostly to single player games.... with 2 lil ones & the wife I can pause them at will & completely turn off my PS4 when i have to, then turn it on & continue where I left off!
RodimusPrime29 I feel your pain bro two kids and a woman that just don't understand you can't pause online gaming lol
Unless you play dark souls :)
I’m on the same boat. Your wife must be super nice. I can only play after everyone is sleeping including the wife.
Giancarlo R yesssss.... The choice between not playing, and doomsday tireness at work the day after...
Giancarlo R lol more like compromise i have pink frilly sheets in the bedroom but a nice man cave & a timeframe for uninterrupted game time 😁
"Your granddad has a hat like that" cracked me up
When i was young I was awesome at megaman games now at 35 i cant get past one level
Which one?
Same here, when I was 15 I finished Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the SNES twice in one day, now when I try to play it again i can't get out of the first stage Lol
Rarely have time to play videogames, and when I finally have time to play... I fall asleep while playing from how tired I am. I still keep trying to though.
You make me cry laughing. That bald ID scene, dear God 😂😂😂
Um, Rob, you actually looked older with the hat.
Dominic Campbell he kinda looked like jared dines I thought lol
I was bad at Ghouls and Ghosts as kid, now Im a grow man, so Im bad at Ghouls and Ghosts as an adult.
Ghouls and Ghosts was infamously difficult don't feel bad mate.
Truth dawned when my kid came through and asked if I needed his help in a timed section
I had a tv in my room, and to play games I would put a pillow over the bottom door crack so my parents wouldn't see the light from the tv.
I did too lmao
Omg yes thanks for the idea
Patience with a bad camera was the game I was better at as a child.
I havent been asked for my ID since i was 16 (the age you can get ID's in South-Africa)
I just asked the guy "Do i really look younger than 18?"
BT games gave me R30 when I traded in Little Big Planet 2😂😂😂
I remember when I got asked for ID XD I was like 28 at the time and I was like "They still do that?"
Hahahahaha it's so pointless esspecially with Steam being a thing.
I actually got my drivers license not so I could drive just so I could buy games without being questioned
Jayden Hussey But you should’ve had a State ID way before then ...
"What a lucky coil!"
'The Legend of Dragoon'. I occasionally recall the memories I have of playing that game, but could never dig up the name. It has eluded me for 15 years.
You have helped me in regaining a piece of the past.
Thank you Rob.
What if you are a confused person who is an adult but people call him a kid for playing video games(me sigh)
Then it's not you to blame but the people who clearly have not a single bit understanding of video games and probably buy their kids games that are meant for adults and then complain about the sex and violence.... why again do we have these age-ratings? -_-
I’m 35 and I still game. To hell with everyone. Do what makes you happy
Giancarlo R yeah, I'm 39 going 40 this year, and my wife calls me childish when I play PS4 during the weekend.
When I was 19 I got pouty whenever someone asks for my ID. Now that I am almost 30 I own the same driving cap that Rob has.
39 here. My ID days are long behind me... 😕
Llort Mc'Trolling energy drinks! I never got asked for ID for energy drinks and I've been drinking them since I was 12 although I've stopped now.
I’m 32 and still get carded the misery of being tiny and looking like I’m 15
Same.
Not a problem when you have a beard.
Siricerasi I'll trade you I'm 19 and look 30
i got asked id for playstation plus at sainsburys and i was 32 with a beard i didnt carry ID with me thinking i dont need it
I gush like a schoolgirl when I get carded
Rob: "No time for gaming, doing adult things, my in-laws want my attention..." Welcome Rob--to the world of portable gaming!! So enjoy that shiny Vita :)
I think games are less fun now... Or I'm too demanding. I can remember playing gta san andreas for days and months... It didn't get bored. Nowadays in gta 5 i get bored really fast. I don't know why, but it makes me sad.
Weed usually does the trick when I’m video game fatigued
You get bored because rockstar ruined gta with the oppressor mk2
If you have ps4
I really recommend playing horizon zero dawn it’s a good game and doesn’t have loot boxes and stuff like that only 1dkc
When we are younger, we are more exploratory in nature because we don’t know many things. As you grow older, you would know how games are made and the limits of what you can expect.
Games are definitely less fun. It used to be that we would grind all day because the game was fun, now they build the grind into the game.
yes it's true but I don't think is games, it's us , I used to enjoy a lot of games when I was a kid, nowadays I'm lucky if I buy 3 games a year.
A "staycation"
It hasnt been all roses and puppy dogs... Hes had to put up with a fair bit of bullshit from me. (No cheating or anything like that) But he stuck by me when most people would have left and we came out the other side stronger.
MrZaboomafoo822 ma dude u will
bet the right half of my bung hole you'll have to work hard for the lady of your life, I know cause the girl I dreamed of as a boy (just like me, wears glasses, fair and a smile of the heavens) turned up in my class.
Or just dont have kids.
Jafeels
Oh, it's Friday time with Rob. Lemme grab a blanket, a cup of coffee and close the curtains. Keep it up man!
I can't imagine Rob being responsible for a child
FINALLY!! A HORIZON ZERO DAWN THUMBNAIL!!
3:59 gets me every time. I always have that conversation with my brain.
Seriously, Rob is correct...on all counts of being an adult. When I was young, teen through 20's, I was good at the Tekken series, Street Fighter 2 and 3, and a few others. Now, I can't even defend myself on Sleeping Dogs. SMH.
Sounds like you are losing your coordination. Plenty of older folks don't lose it, just need to work on it
🤣That blonde wig is my new favourite prop.
Every good weekend starts with a "Friday Feature" :) nice work as always Rob
I was a god at wrestling games back when I was kid. Went from Here Comes the Pain to SvR 08 undefeated......
.....Now I struggle against normal ai.
Totally relate to the last point, i love the interactive story type games now because you can just sit back and take it in - no reflexes required
I am so glad i don't have kids. Half of these adult problems do not apply to me ;)
Akroma 349 tick tock 🕦
Word. I will never have children or a family so I will get old and tired, but at least all my remaining time is mine.
Akroma 349 Buuuuut, if you have kids, once they reach a certain age, you can spend some of your quality time with them playing video games. So two birds with one stone type of deal. You just gotta raise the kids right (teach them to love games like yourself).
I don't either. Most of them still apply. I have no idea how someone can have a job, kid, marriage and still play videogames
Now, I'm not sure if it's because, for some reason, the remake was made easier than the original, in any case, that's what happened.
no.4 is opposite for me, I git gud at games extremely fast now!
Fast forward a year. You finished ni no kuni 2. Good job
Absolutely on point! I'd add 2 more things to this list:
1) I no longer get to admit freely that my hobby is video games, otherwise I'm perceived by my colleagues as lazy (even though no one judges anyone that way for saying they binge-watch netflix for hours).
Haha yes! Brian is back baby!
When RTCW came out I was an ace at shooters. Now I am 49 and somehow I am not that good anymore :P
Hellsing7747 I've taken to using You Tube let's plays for those. better than nothing
Got to be sonic for games im now shite at, used to be able to complete 1,2 and 3 without losing a life. Cant even get through one now.
Top 10 games that DESERVE a remaster. Legend of Dragoon would be number 1.
For me, Dark Cloud 2. Love that game ❤
3:59 this is the truest thing ever
2:59
him finishing the game within 4 days in his room was the lie in the 2 truths 1 lie video they did 🤔
Thanks for that existential crisis!
This video is a year old but I just recently found this channel. Omg it's the freaking best. Definitely subbed
I'm 43,been playing video games since '81. And still amazed by video games. When I go,bury me with my console.
Thank you for reminding me why i'm glad not having kids:-)
So many are true for me as well. But I feel I've gotten better at alot of video games. Some not. You look great to me Rob. Thanks for the laughs. Cheers
Am I really going to suck once I get older? How am I going to beat the Secret Boss in future games like Kingdom Hearts 8.32 HD Ultra Remix?
I will invest all my precious free time in Death Stranding, FF7R and The Last of Us Part II.
Good luck. Especially with Death standing.
great games, enjoy!!
Death stranding looks like trash tbh 😂
Pyjamakillu It’s not for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
@@JerrysFineCigars 😥
Legend of Dragoon. Hope Rob helps convince Playstation to make a Remake ❤️❤️❤️
Dec 2017
Alvin Simba yeah bro your are not helping.
Persona 5 be like 35 hours that's rookie numbers
That first one, about not having as much time to do our hobbies as we once did as kids... That really made me sad and I have a sense of Existential dread all of a sudden
The one I had to learn as an adult was "never underestimate a good single player campaign game". When I was 14 or 15 I couldn't get enough of multiplayer, now I'd kill for a really good submersive campaign. I haven't been engrossed in a game since Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Don't get me wrong, I love apex but man....i miss good single players.
not exactly a game example but... watching rockos modern live as an adult and realizing that he worked for a sex-hotline one time. XD
I'm coming to the realisation that my gaming career is coming to an end, I am just not enjoying anything anymore :(
Update I am digging ac Odyssey
The same happens to me, and I use to enjoy the shittiest games
I'd like an update
I'm 21 and definitely getting into gaming again!
@@GoodKingMort i still game but not to much any more just been playing call of duty.
