Actually, lockpicking in real life is easier than Kingdom Come's lockpicking system.

I think the lockpicking system is awful. I really like the game but, like Rob, I really struggled at the 'very easy' tutorial. It put me off playing for a bit
@@AsukaLangleyS02 Thats the difference, on PC its quite easy to turn the lock properly with the mouse but the sticks on the controller make the lockpicking some garbage bullshit

AlphaWolf098 I have sort of grown used to games that eventually make overpowered about a quarter of the way through. I sometimes have to say to myself I really don't want to use that skill because it would end the fight too quickly. Or my character has so much health that I forget I even have potions.
So I kind of wanted to play a game where I didn't have these godly powers. Gives kind of a fresh spin on things despite the initial frustration of understanding the mechanics of the game that we take for granted in other RPGs. It's great to not have a GPS for quests in the game. Kind of miss that from older ones I have been playing. :)
I love Skyrim and I have incredible fun with Kingdome Come. My favourite game in the moment. And 90% of the time Henry talks himself out of various situations (I really suck at the fighting mechanics in this game) :)
Looks both fun and frustrating at the same time. I'll add it to my list if games to consider getting someday.
I love Robs enthusiasm for games. Its infectious, every time I watch these I end up spending the entire evening gaming.

In farming simulator me and my mate extracted the nost amount of money from the bank as possible, bought 2 trucks, used a combine harvester to cut out a race track, and spent the next 2 hours racing in it. Not once did i make a penny!

If you don't like cars, or are not really into cars, then Gran Turismo and other racing simulators out there are going to be tough for you. As someone who has been playing GT since the PS1 days, this is the one thing that I have observed when other people play racing games.
As a once-frequent player of flight simulators, I just about fell off my chair laughing at *"Always retract your landing gear!"* Good one!

Maybe 800 years in the future, someone will create "Millenial Simulator," a game dedicated to the realism of finding the perfect Instagram filter, keeping up with the the latest hashtags and commenting on RUclips videos. Option to play as a Troll encouraged.

Andrew Neale Remove the ability to drown people in a pool? What is wrong with you? That's one of the best parts of the game.
We'll get that game much sooner than 800 yrs, sims4 is already creeping towards that, giving toddlers tablets, trying to convince the sims to do more than sit at the tv/pc/phone/tablet. Sims is getting too close to reality.

I don't have the same issues driving around Mt Panorama as Rob has. Then again I drive around it at 60km/h, during times it's a public road and not a race track.
Gran tourismo made me stop playing realistic racing game :) because I got last place on easiest track against easiest enemies. My CTR champion pride is hurt so bad I crack the disk and spit on it. I was 9 years old

The thing that makes no damn sense about Kingdom Come: Deliverance is that no blacksmith's kid pre-1900s would be allowed to such a worthless layabout like Henry was. If he was the son of, say, the innkeeper, he might've been allowed to goof off; but as the child of someone as vital as the BLACKSMITH at a NEWLY CONSTRUCTED FORT NEAR AN ENEMY NATION?
He should've been jacked as hell, able to throw the head of a unfinished hammer and kill horses at 30 yards, and he sure as hell would've known how to use a freaking sword, because only way to assure quality would mean stress-testing prototypes as an apprentice (which is what Henry would be because there were NO excess people in that village). WHICH MEANS ACTUALLY USING SWORDS. In fact, the only people who should've been more skilled at fighting with a sword would be actual soldiers, and the only people that would rival his strength would be porters and miners. Combine those two facts and he should've been far closer to an anime protagonist.

someone, who is "good" at the game, would still be good if he starts a new game. I think it's less about who Henry already is, and more about you being Henry and having to learn.
Henry is like a time traveler to begin with. Like a 21th century guy waking up suddenly in 1403, except with all the memories of a medieval life. It makes his role easy to get into, and also gives room for stat/skill development.

On that mission on Kingdom Come, I did the same thing with breaking all the lockpicks but actually managed to knock him out. I stole everything including his clothes, unlocked the chest and....got glitched in the door on the way out. I was stuck there for so long that he woke up and proceeded to beat me to death whilst in his pants..... such realism.
I live in the remote countryside and I'm surrounded by farms, sheep and maniac farmers who think they're on the rally circuit. As a rule I tend to avoid anything with realistic farming involved 😁
I laughed so hard at the kcd part “wtf lock picking is as hard as I imagined it would be in real life well no matter I’m gonna sneak and knock-out the gar... oh okay he got out of that well I’m gonna fight hi... oh okay he’s better than me at fighting” I’m definitely buying this game now XD

Shaun King Yeah. I hated GTA IV because Rockstar cranked up the realism. I was dealing with a lot of stress at the time, and GTA IV just couldn't help me escape it at all. That's why I love Saint's Row so much. The succeeded where GTA failed.
I don't mind realistic games as long as the game states its trying to be realistic
King of Salt Mountain haha, on top of its ridiculously bad performance on everything but an Xbox. GTA IV was a bit too much

To this day I still have the world record for Aryton Senna go kart record of under a minute. On Grand Turismo, that was my game back in the day, I even went out for the Nissan project when they had that on the game what a bloody game that was man
One of the great secrets here is that, unless you are dealing with a deadbolt, picking locks is kind-of easy. Basic 5 pin locks can usually be picked with a couple of paperclips and a little patience.

Meaning, we may spend hours of gameplay building a grudge against an NPC, then the game kills said NPC in a cutscene or another NPC killed him/her

Robs style of writing, reminds me very much of old school g4, x-play video reviews. He’s got a subtly dark sense of humor and a way of talking that I just love.

Man watching this made me actually put my phone down and start my homework. I’m usually up in the middle of the night to “do homework” but only ever end up watching RUclips.
A lot of why strategy and sim is not fun on consoles is due to the controls. Most of this games start life on PC and then translate awkwardly.
I still remember when I had one of my friends try IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, he crashed after only 20 seconds, and that's just because it spawned him in the air and it took that long to reach the ground! Just trying to make a simple turn without going into a spin takes practice!
Okay, seriously......where are Delsin Rodent and Gary Fist? The suspense is killing me, and I can only imagine how nervous Rob must be as he anxiously awaits for those puppets to exact their vengeance upon him.
The size and scope of No Mans Sky is actually larger than Elite Dangerous. It is easier to learn the controls as well. There are people who still struggle with it though. Mostly because people assume they know things and skip tutorials.
I remember back one time when I was playing operation flashpoint dragon rising, my squad warned me of an enemy about 150m away and I ignored him. About 20 seconds later he was at 100m and decided to spray with an LMG, landing a lucky headshot on me killing me instantly. Good times.
You guys forgot The Long Dark, basicly a willderness survival in north Canada. You have to keep track of warmth, callories, find tools to craft other tools, maintain those tools and fight off wild life with very real feel weapons like a suvival knife, makeshift bow and arrow and if you're really lucky a hunters rifle
Man, this list made me remember the days where I used to play Gran Turismo 4 all the time, I had the Formula Gran Turismo from the 24 hours race and everything! Such a good game
I actually enjoyed a lot UFC, more satisfying than a combo spam combat game such as Tekken, Mortal Combat, Soul Caliber etc.
Too bad the grappling is the most unrealistic thing I’ve seen in a fighting game.
what Well thats the first time I actually see a game that has that mechanic, but I agree that is bullshit. Besides that the stand up fighting is unmatched if you asked me

Being a locksmith it's always weird when it comes to lockpinking in games because it's either overcomplicated or like a random minigame, real lock picking is actually very easy just time consuming.
My biggest problem with Cities Skylines, is that I went in with the idea "I'm good at Civ 5, I can build a city without people attacking me"
And I've still never figured out to get electricity flowing.

THANK YOU!! for the Elite Dangerous bit. I thought I was doing it wrong, I had missed an instruction, and I was the only goofball shooting past that stupid space station over and over like some sort of deranged thousand-tonne golden snitch*.
*I was going to say "moth", but I like the sudden speed/sudden stop nature of a golden snitch.
A similar thing happened to me early on in Kingdom Come (landed wrong, broke my ankles, bled out after running out of food and bandages).
Gran Turismo is so realistic, that Jann Mardenborouhh(professional Gran Turismo Player), was recruited by Nissans racing team to race professionally and hes actually pretty good.
the elite dangerous bit made me grind my teeth so much... i am having flashbacks to those training missions

UFC Undisputed 2009 taught me about BJJ and got me into Mixed Martial Arts.
I gave up on peasant simulator..not just because lockpicking was as eazy as juggling 3 chainsaws on fire while walking on a tightrope, not just because trying to fight an enemy with a sword is as eazy as playing pickup sticks with your butcheeks, but the last straw was the save files kept failing after awile no matter what i tried. So i decided to save time and frustration by putting a toothpick under my toenail and kicking a wall and calling it a day.
This is why I usually stay away from "realistic" games. Life is realistic enough, I don't need to experience that in games, too.
However, I'm definitely down to playing Elite Dangerous. I'm a sci-fi guy so I might forgive the realism there.

Honestly, as soon as I saw the title for this week's Friday Feature, I thought to myself, "$1,000 says Rob makes 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' number 1 on the list." Damn. I should have made that bet.
The pipe thing is an auger, and it gets the grain out of the bin of your combine harvester into the truck. Trust me, I used to be a farmer.;) And that looked a lot like oilseed rape, or canola, and not corn.
Your list is based on games that aren't realistic which does not reveal us for idiots, that is actually what most people like, ufc 3 is one of my favorite games alongside other good graphic sports games. But there where definitely games on the list that deserved to be there.

Grand Turismo I just couldn't play. I was too into arcade racing games. I remember watching a video about 1 of the games & how serious they were about every single detail of every single car, track, the weather, nothing was left untouched. UFC games were the same way to me. The problem with me & fighting games in general is that I tend to button mash anyway, but UFC taught me real quick that it wasn't the way to go with that game...

Elite Dangerous really isn't that bad, I didn't do any tutorial, everything you need to know just to get around is fairly intuitive and you can figure it out yourself in a little while.
The hard part is figuring out the best way to do the various professions. Or at least it would be if there weren't good online articles and tools to help you, which you will need. If you don't plan your route as a trader or explorer you'll never make any money.
Mostly the game takes a lot of time, it's great for smoking some weed and relaxing.
Wow, I was really reminded of Ultima: Underworld 2 with that last game. You don't mess with people in Underworld 2. They'll mess you up and throw you in prison!
I guess CTR and Ridge Racer fueled your ineptitude at Gran Turismo. GT2 was my favourite racing game back in the day, and I was really good at it...and yeah I love those Simulator games, and city building games. Anyway, glad to see different games on the Friday Feature!
