    I may try throwing some of these out along the edge of the flower bed in the fall. Just to see what happens.. I'm thinking of going for more of a cottage garden style in that bed.

    They are gorgeous!! I must find some. Last fall I planted some neglected leftover pansies that was leftover from my daughter’s boyfriend’s job. I was surprised to find out that not only did they overwinter some of them kept their blooms through winter here I Delaware 🙌🏻

    I’m definitely going to up my fall sowing of pansies. They haven’t been a flower I’ve grown a lot of but I had a bunch of volunteer pansies and violas.

    Thanks for another 'how to' video! After watching one of your earlier videos this season and seeing these beautiful pansies, I ordered some seeds. I'm looking forward to growing them for next season using the winter sow method :)

    I have always enjoyed pansies and violas especially the wild ones! You have such beautiful blooms and so tall! I tried to buy the seeds after your last video showcases them. Sold out wherever I was looking. Maybe next season 😁

      @@JaimeBGilliam1 last year i started them inside in late September. They dont like the heat though so it was tricky hardening off when the heat lasts awhile.

    Beautiful flowers! Question though, how did you get blooms in February? Did you direct sow or transplant outside and when? I’d like to try this as I’m in zone 6 as well (chicago).

    So it's about 15 days now since I planted some pansy seeds & have kept the pots indoors. Now, little sprouts have started to come out. Should I put them out in the sun for a few hours, or is it still too early for that? BTW, I'm in the SF Bay Area. Thank you.

    The snapdragons I direct seeded on my garden, fall seeding for spring flowering, are starting to bud up. Is that weird? I live in the south hemisphere, winter starts at the end of June.
    I’ll try pansies also!

    • @TONYAwiththeflowers
      @TONYAwiththeflowers 3 года назад +1

      I've had that happen before. It turned out that I had sowed the seeds too early in the summer, so they bloomed in the fall instead of overwintering. Now, I wait to plant the seeds until about a month before the first frost. Of course, the timing will be very different depending upon that date. Good luck! :)

    I bought the Chianti pansies for my dad for the holidays (he looooves growing pansies) but he said they didn't even germinate. I wonder if it was an off year for Floret with those :/
