- Today’s video is a Concept Diagram in Architecture using SketchUp, Illustrator and Photoshop. This diagram architecture explores the relationship between a library study space and the journey to a space in the Hult undergraduate business school (London campus) by Sergison Bates Architects.
The concept architecture diagram is the formalised name assigned to the visual depiction of the system architecture. It is a drawing, rendering or diagram visually illustrating, at a high level, the system requirements concerned. It is composed of various blocks that show the components and a sequence of lines, often with arrows, showing the interaction of the components. The aim is to include details that can not be readily communicated by words alone. Think of them like any city map you've ever used. They are demonstrating Significant structures, the point of attraction, and the streets that connect them.

@@SurvivingArchitecture yeah, I have only started utilizing layers recently. All this time I have been manually hiding components or lines
Omg! It's definitely worth the extra few minutes to organise things in layers similarly to Photoshop. It did take me a while to adjust 😂😂

so cute. such a good inspiration! sometimes i want to show everything and ended up mess up my presentation! btw, maybe you already know it, but you dont need to add more masks for the same pattern. you can select by magic wand and click on the mask swatch, then use bucket to fill the selected area. the foreground color should be white.
Thank you so much! Thank you for the tip and yes I do know that. Because the texture I was using wasn't seamless, it worked better to add it to seperate spaces than one clipping mask.

Hi, what file do you export your SketchUp model as for illustrator?
I export it as a PDF.
It makes me sad that the quality drops when I switch to PS :/
