I have a 2021 Kia forte Gt the air filter intake you will get more power rather then keep the stock air filter box on and if you upgrade to a racing oil catch, you will get more power as well It’ll sound much more crazier, especially now that you installed the blow off valve.
I am definitely going to be doing this soon.
@@954Film my next buy is going to be a front strut bar for handling and I found out a shift throttlebody response is really good too. It’ll help with delay when you hit the gas check it out on RUclips 😤
@@user-gk3bq8ld9r I just put a front sway bar on that and the upgraded motor bushings are the best mods I have gotten for the car

i have the same GFB blow off valve, but I'm finding in a real pain to tighten the nut near the bov solenoid at the bottom, while working from underneath.. Did you take everything off from above( Air box, intake, blow off solenoid, intercooler piping and (including then the pipe that holds the BOV ), or did you work from underneath.?
I always found it easiest to work from underneath however it was never easy to get to that bov
@@954FilmI'm finding the nut underneath the solenoid infuriating to tighten. did you just the allen key provided or another tool?
@@evilresident5201 I just one half turn at a time tightened it with the provided Alan key it was painful

@@954Film ok so it doesn’t have to be for the gt it can be for regular as long as it fits?
@@jeffpeters3601 no it has to be the drop in k&n for the forte gt the one from the volester n also fits

Yea it vents out to the atmosphere and this one has the trumpet on it to make a little more noise

You put it on yourself? Want to get this BOV but never have i done any work on a car like that.
Yea I put it on myself it’s not that hard to do you do have to do it from the bottom of the car tho so you need a jack
@@954Film Apparently, you only need to remove the air intake and you can get down in there from the top. Not sure as I have yet to install one on mine but I've read of others doing it that way.
@@SuppositionalBox I tryed doing it that way and personally I thought it was easier to get to from the bottom once you get the car up and all the plastics removed
@@954Film Right on. Gonna deff get this next. Just put on a takeda CAI and a MBRP exhaust. Running a BPV delete right now but im hoping the BOV will add more turbo noise

What kind of mods did you do to the exhaust system? Sounds a lot louder than mine so I have to assume you removed the resonator at the very least
Yea I removed resonator and 2nd cat I am gonna get a downpipe soon
Which check valve are you using for the catch can? I have a ADDW1 catch can but it didn’t come with a check valve.
I am just using a check valve I got at advanced auto parts.
@@954Film sounds good. I’ll just check for something that flows at low pressure but still stops flow the other way.
What is the engine? 1.6 TGDI?
In Bulgaria we don't have Forte GT but Proceed GT and it's with the 1.6 TGDI.
Are you sure you're not over/under boosting with full atmoshpere?
Yea the car has the 1.6 in it. I watch my boost on the jb4 app and have all the fail safes setup incase of over boosting
@@954Film My car is under warranty, so no modifications are allowed...
I'm wondering if I should install the bov cuz if the turbo breaks, it won't be replaced under warranty due to the bov.
Have you had any cel issues? Are you running full atmospheric vent, or split?
