thorin bingham Thanks buddy! We are in a small town in Elizabeth, West Virginia. County of Wirt. Here is a link 🤗 m.facebook.com/Elizabeth-Wirt-Volunteer-Fire-Department-284995588200414/
JW93Emergency Hmm. Just as long as it grabs attention to civilians driving down the road, I don't see any issues with it. The state of WV, only permits first responders (EMT's/Volunteer Firefighters) to run Red, White, or Yellow on apparatus/POV here. If Law Enforcement suspect that you have any blue lighting on your vehicle whatsoever, you will be charged for Impersonating a Police Officer. I do agree, blue lights do grab more attention, but the state decides on what they do. Don't have much say.
JW93Emergency no. Red/white seems to work just fine here. Our personal vehicles are allowed blue courtesy lights and they don't move traffic nearly as well.
NearlyDirtBiking because we actually tend to pay attention when we drive. Too many lights is actually dangerous. Also, you won't find a single fire appliance in service that only has two blue lights in the UK.
Love when people turn the siren on while still inside the bay lol
Firemedic10584 Haha! Agreed.
Been there...done that. Had a short apron...close to road
Good blast of sirens . When there isnt another vehicle insight lol ,🤣🤣

Why do you still use red? Red lights are very ineffective.

The state needs to have a re-think. Do what we do here in the UK: all emergency vehicles have all blue.

I got to wonder how yall in Europe think 2 little blue lights on the roof of a fire apparatus are effective...
