You don't need to download anything. Plug the Wi-Fi module into the ESC, hook up your battery, and press the power button on the ESC. Look for the Wi-Fi network on your phone, connect, and you are on the setup page.

Great to see more options coming out. I don't have an out runner but the performance for the price and the size and weight of it making me want to build another rig!
Brilliant Mr C, I am an ex drone guy but I am not looking forward to the shenanigans! I'm gonna get the combo it looks perfect for the Revolt or MEUS build!
I’ve been running Escape32 in a couple micro’s for a while now and they have been fantastic. I didn’t notice you mention LVC which is off by default, also as far as radio calibration goes Escape32 does it automatically as it boots up. As far as the wifi tuning it works perfectly on my Iphone, my understanding is it works on anything with a wifi connection.
I just got into am32 hardware with another brand. Excited to give it a try in morning. See how I like sign mode. By the way sequre makes awesome soldering irons to
Sequre offers the 2670 esc in a variety of different firmware options, you select the firmware you want ( BLHeli 32, AM32, ESCape32). Wifi link is listed to only work with ESCape32 on their site. ESCape32 has Sine mode startup, similar ish to FOC
I've got the am32 version but escape32 seems to have better startup and more tuning options, all three you mentioned have sine start up they're just slightly different in performance and tuning. If they've got a firmware/bootloader download for this esc32 firmware I'd change mine over.
@senyx0 yea just need to find the right bootloader/firmware for the board, just last time I checked the escape32 github there wasn't anything for this esc from memory, so hopefully there is now haha.
Size is still a drawback of the Fusions, so a nice compact brushless alternative is a good thing. Unfortunately the typical outrunner high-frequency whine is something I just can't live with. Too bad, 'cause it otherwise looks like a very good choice.
I'm riddled with tinnitus and didn't notice anything untoward coming from this fella, audio-wise. Try to reset your expectation-- plug an outrunner into a Castle ESC, and soak up the horror. Any subsequent combo sounds like a soft whisper.
Yoda did better in 3wd. 😄 I totally agree on why I love outrunners. I want to drive the truck. Where I love a Fusion is when gearing options don't allow a slow enough ratio. The FOC can give you slow creep where anything else would lunge over obstacles.
Sounds like you left the bec set to whatever it came set to and just used a direct power servo?? No issues with power with that setup? I’m looking to buy this setup but I’d rather spend a few extra $$ if there’s power issues
Just curious if you figured out adjusting the bec. There’s a good chance I’m going to end up with 4ws so I will most likely need to be able to turn it up
You have to solder a jumper to turn up the BEC. There are only a couple of internal BECs that I would recommend running two servos off of, and this is absolutely not one of them. Every 4WS rig here uses direct-power servos, because an internal is not going to enjoy running a pair of 50/60kg servos for an extended period of time.
You know, this looks like a small enough that the esc might fit in a traxxas receiver box. I'd bet the tone programming uses normal nokia ringtone format which there's a ton of online
Haven't had a Class 2 tire to test in two months. I think the only new tire in that size that's come out in that time has been the Aztek. Still waiting on the Trailburner, if it ever comes out.
Literally any. I don't think they properly hardened/tempered any of the shafts, honestly. With today's usual level of QC, someone might run an identical set of these for years and never break anything. I definitely broke that shaft myself. I replaced it with some no-namers from Amazon that were under $10 a pair.
How was battery life? My Rhino doesn’t last as long compared to my other setups. Have you noticed this with your Rhinos? Probably a byproduct of sine mode. How about this ESC?
I find that the servo is the primary determiner. When this rig started he was fitted with an NSDRC RS400, and couldn't finish a tire test on a single 850mah. With the much bigger, but direct-powered Flash Hobby 50kg, a filming session will have the pack at about 3.85V. I didn't notice any difference in life between this and the Fusion 1800 it replaced. Which is good, I suppose.
I also feel like shorter battery running time with injora outrunner on rhino esc compared to hw fushion in kv. But injora outrunner is a big can, could be better with a shorter can.
@@rolandwittwer5026I am running a HH 1800 540M which is medium can and run times have suffered. I was unable to finish my first comp with the setup on a 4S 850mah pack.
@@lowslowcrawlers1304 I'm mean, that's not remotely true but okay. Dropping a tooth on the pinion increases the FDR by about 8%. That would, in perfect conditions, translate to about 3 minutes of increased runtime. This is because, as I said before, the servo is using more power than the motor.
Is it Mac compatible? Since it’s WiFi and web based it seems plausible. The thing that’s kept holding me back from a Rhino has been the PC. I have a cheap old PC laptop I just can’t stand it.
I've also heard that due to the lower plates only being attached to the tube frame with four spot welds on either side, that it's possible to tear those off too. We'll see how he holds up. I can't weld worth a damn but I can weld, so this guy doesn't get to die until I say it's time.
It’s fun watching car people who’s tech moves at the speed of government start to get some trickle down tech from the drone world. Where tech moves at the speed of squirrels on meth
Hey, just a quick update- The wifi link does work with a phone. Just power up the ESC, find the network on your phone, and connect. Super easy!
That's how I tune it
What did you download to program on phone...I downloaded off play store Blheli 32 and it won't connect

The Sequre ESCape32 70A ESC supports brushless inner and outer rotor motors, as well as brushed motors.

I didn't, and mostly out of laziness. Wolverine is direct-power and no accessories, so that BEC is literally just keeping the RX powered.

I figured it was just one of the drive pins that broke. I know the spider I won breaks drive pins all the time.
Drive pins are the absolute best thing to break, IMO. They're like a built-in failure point, which is a whole lot better than snapping a driveshaft.
