this sounds like "the Lord of the dance" song we used to sing in church! i've always wanted to learn to play it but they had a few more chords in it. i like your way of teaching, simpler cord structure, the different strums available and as i work thru this batch of easy songs i'm greatly appreciative of your talent and willingness to share with us. thank you very much. i set my baritone done and picked up my tenor again.

I feel appreciative with your presentation of materials.....lessons and that RUclips some how connected me with you.. my background many years ago was classical piano. I find playing ukelele and singing so joyful!
Glad you are enjoying your ukulele journey. I have taken quite a few piano lessons over the years. I never was very good, and as an elementary general music teacher, I played the piano more like the ukulele - a chording instrument. I finally gave up piano to do steel drums. They were such a pain to haul. My joke - 2 hernias later (true story) I took up the ukulele.
I think I have answered my previous question and for now I am just focusing on what you are teaching. I decided to try this series of 10 songs...it is fun...Love Simple Gifts so nice to have it under my belt.

Having received your new New2Uke course outline, I decided to do a run through of your course from the beginning. I have found over the years that this is a really helpful procedure to me, particularly as I have found that I pick up bad habits over the years and unless I correct them I continue - wrongly. I don't spend the recommended time, but just run through the videos quickly and play the songs.
Have fun with it! I just finished a 15 week course - basically a college semester working with live students, most of whom are older than 40. They experienced really good results. Their last day performances were pretty darn awesome. I know you will come through a stronger, more confident ukulele player.

It really is! Hang in there - it will happen. I do know folks that spent about a year working on mastering strumming and singing.
