I guess after your in it for a while it all comes natural but I will say your switch device would make it much easier. Great idea. Now solar your getting back into my wheel house. Before we moved back to town from the lake house i had a nice little grid tie system. it wasn't big but it produced a steady amount which intern kept our power bill. Will be looking forward to your solar video.
The 7300 can use a 4 position box, but you have to modify a mic plug to make it work since that is where they put the input. Its not real hard to add a 3.5mm jack to the mic plug, then you can use a box like this. I have made several for people and use one on my 7300.

What, not even a link to where I can buy the keypad, nor the name of the keypad. Geez mate, you need to be more helpful. Also a suggestion, you need to gain that recording up a lot so your voice gets out there. When you were using the recording the other end couldn't hear you because of the low gain of the recording, but when you spoke into the mic with a high gain voice (or mic) the other end responded immediately.
