I think meatboy can choose to revive and he choose it because well.. He has to rescue bandage girl and he can choose to be dead forever or live forever... Edit: Also, dont everybody revive in the game? The squirrel, C. H. A. D, dr fetus, brownie, meat boy, bandage girl, and all of the playable characters respawn when they die... So it aint depressing! Yaaay! :D

Isaac may be a traumatized child going through things no human should ever have to go through, but Meatboy lives in constant pain and has died a near infinite number of times only to return seconds later, still in pain and still likely near whatever killed him initially.
