As an African there is privilege in everything of course. I mean I’m not gonna sit and act like I’m not naturally more athletic than an average white person. Isn’t that a privilege? Won’t she look at Jordan compared to Bird? Ant compared to Luka? Giannis to Jokic? How about Bron who doesn’t seem to age? We have no issue saying black don’t crack though. Stop being victims, pick up a book and inform yourself. The situation in the NBA is not even about race, it’s about humbleness and intelligence. Eastern Europeans especially that come from Soviet Union like Luka and Jokic are usually very humble dudes who are extremely strategic. Just look at how Russian is handling the war against the whole NATO and you’ll understand. Is there racism and favoritism in the US? Yes. Even Africa among tribes and ethnicities probably worse than the US. Ever heard of the genocide in Rwanda? I am a survivor of what is considered the worse tragedy in modern history but we couldn’t sit down and keep blaming the whole world for failing us. We picked up the piece and within 30 years we built the safest and cleanest country in Africa where 63% of women are lawmakers and 45% of of CEOs in both private and public sectors are also females. That’s how you change your fate.

You are in denial of reality. Nothing she said was racist. It’s not racist to acknowledge the country singer Darius Rucker wouldn’t be remotely as popular if he was white. That is basic, toddler level common sense. Tiger Woods wouldn’t be as popular either. Doesn’t diminish his talent. Neither would Bubba Wallace. Neither would Barack Obama.
You see how EASY that was for me to acknowledge basic reality? *Why do your people struggle so much with this???* When the subject is Caitlin Clark or Eminem, it’s like you can’t use your common sense. Yes, people are tuning in to see a white girl play like Steph Curry. Yes, people bought that Marshall Mathers LP because we never heard a white boy rapping like that before or since. @@mybestnugget7514 Black privilege is to play the victim card and the race card all the while being racists and victims all at the same time. Go throughout the country to different cities and ask blacks and whites the same question. What do you wanna do when you grow up. Average black will wanna play basketball or football and a few here and there would say doctor or lawyer or police officer. Whites will have opposite answers. We all as humans have privilege and that is called choice. We choose to push forward or we choose to stay back and just lazily go throughout life blaming others for our own downfalls. This is 2024,we are the only ones who oppress ourselves as individuals and the choices we make. We live in the parts of the world that we can be whoever we wanna be but choose not to be and play the blame game. Go to China or maybe north Korea and then think about playing the privilege card. People need to wake up and stop letting the government's and the media tell us who is right and who is wrong.

Also, I’m old enough to remember Brianna Stewart getting the same treatment when she was coming out of college. The WNBA has been looking for it’s Kareem, for its “Showtime”, for its “Bird and Magic” since I’ve started following sports.
They always start out hyping the next big rookie, but inevitably the league still fails to catch on (which is kind of a shame, people say they want old school 60s style basketball? That is the WNBA! They have roughly the athleticism and scoring percentages of the NBA 60 years ago, and they should lean into that niche).

ability should be the true judgement and contributing factor when it comes to athletics.
I mean Amala is attractive, but she is also a person of character and her insights provide us with entertainment and perspective.
But she didn’t get her solely on her looks.
She built her channel, she recruited a team, and she is successful in her own right. She has merit.
I think it’s very demeaning to say someone achieved success solely based on the melanin in their skin (or lack there of) or by the symmetry of their features.
That totally discounts the work and creativity the person invested.

CC, can definitely play. But let's not pretend her being white doesn't have anything to do with the hype around her!

The View had been running longer before & since The Ellen DeGeneres talk show began & ended. Who knows why this show is still running?

Griner didn't HAVE to play in Russia. She CHOSE TO! And, she chose to break the law there. But she is back, and the hostages in Gaza still haven't been released.

Okay so you can not be rasict againt white people bc we have never known oppression. And you are very willing to blame us for white deference AND you still want to cash in on that said privilege. Hmmmm my oh my. Wow! I never thought I would see the day. I think you need a time out.

The only things sonny loves is being way over paid and being able to keep racism alive .

Caitlyn Clark has skills. She’s a very talented player. She just scored 29 points in a game a few days ago. It’s not about race or being pretty. The young lady is just good at what she does.

Sunny you invited this so here we go. I think the reason everyone’s talking about Clark is because so many WNBA women be hatin’ on her. She’s not making money on her WNBA salary. Angel Reese is better looking and way more doable than Caitlin Clark, but I have no idea how that affects “pretty privelege” or anything else.

The vast majority of the world has darkest skin tones. Don't know how big she's looking at this.
