Discover the inspiring stories behind the Demining and Increasing The Border Surveillance Capacity at the Eastern Borders of Türkiye - Phase 3 project, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in collaboration with the Turkish Mine Action Center. This project has not only made significant strides in clearing 4.2 million square meters of minefields but has also created around 300 jobs in the eastern frontier region. Among these, meet Türkiye’s first two female civilian mine detection dog handlers, Ayşe Kılıç and Merve Çakan.
