    I'm digging your videos.👍 I am currently working on two 22/45 Mark IV pistols. A Lite and Tactical models. I added ADE micro red dots and Hive grips to both. My order for two Halo rings and Game changer comps came in today. Once I install those, next will be flat face triggers. I love those guns. Keep us up on your upgrades. By the way my Lite model is the bronze finish with black TK parts.

    Did you see the touch up video from TK you can do with the magazines?

    Is it ok to dry fire that pistol?
    Thanks for your time and nice gun!

    • @BoostAFilmz
      @BoostAFilmz  5 лет назад +1

      Felipe Ramirez , here is my opinion on that.....it’s not technically good to dry fire any gun buuut, it’s part of safety to point it in a safe direction and dry fire to make sure the firearm is clear and of course with me putting in a aftermarket trigger, I had to test the trigger several time to make sure it was functioning correctly.

    • @DocTango
      @DocTango 4 года назад +1

      I always tell my kids not to dry fire their 22's until they can afford to fix or replace them. But at the same time, I dry fire them all the time. Especially my carry gun (Glock 19). It's good sight picture training and if it's going to break, I'd rather it break during practice than when I really need it.
      Apparently you can damage/deform the firing pin by dry firing, but I've never done it nor have I ever seen it happen. I think if your firing pin is that susceptible to damage, it's time to upgrade to a better gun.

    • @warbirdnut9269
      @warbirdnut9269 3 года назад +1

      The Ruger MK IV manual says you need a snap cap if anyone else is curious. My understanding is that you don't want to dry any rim fire gun or rifle.

    • @pewpew9193
      @pewpew9193 3 года назад +1

      @@BoostAFilmz Just by the nature of rimfire, you always want to use a snap cap or snap cap substitute (dry wall anchor or spent brass).
      The firing pin can hit the breach face & it will deform or break the pin.
      With most centerfires, it's totally fine to dry fire as the firing pin just lands in an empty chamber.

    • @landonlehman5497
      @landonlehman5497 Год назад

    • @BoostAFilmz
      @BoostAFilmz  4 года назад +1

      Daren James.... it’s just a term that I’m used to using because I work on cars a lot. And when you’re distinguishing between something the way it came from the factory and an aftermarket part you put on, you always referred to factory way and aftermarket way. So that’s what I meant, the way it feels from the factory. Stock/ out of the book/ original/ etc. How ever you want to say it.
