Marker Griffon 13 ID Alpine Ski Binding Removal | Downhill Ski Maintenance

A slow and silent walk-through of a crude removal of Marker Griffon ID 13 downhill ski bindings.
Backstory:
When the Rossignol Soul 7 HD ski went on sale I made the plunge. On the 4th usage the powder forecast at Mary Jane ski area was late. The result was the skis were skied in brutally variable and icy conditions which led to a crease forming in the top sheet near the ski tip. Rossignol asked that the skis be returned without bindings for warranty replacement.
Notes:
With the skis being damaged, there was no need to protect the bases before sending them back to the manufacturer.
A Phillips driver was used to remove Pozidrive screws. Not advised as the screws will get progressively gnarled, requiring replacement. A Pozidrive screwdriver should be used for installation.

Removing the ski brake is not necessary. You simply turn the forward pressure screw clockwise and push the heel off the track. Removing brake is only a factor if you have to replace it. Binding screws are Posidrive #3 not Phillips #3. We have customers who take bindings off and lose parts. Usually we can replace binding screws but that heel track in the back or the front part of the Royal Family bindings are not something we would have in stock.
