Hi Julie. I’m Darlene from Philly, PA. Hey there down in TX. I’m a waaaaaay back thrifter, but have been getting into it more since I’ve gotten older…… I don’t need to buy BRAND NEW stuff for my home at 67 years of age 😂😂😂 I moved into my house 7 years ago and while my furniture is newly bought(I deserve a treat) the decor is about 80% thrifted. I love it. Usually I shop at Goodwill and 2nd Avenue Thrift. But girrrrrl the other day while in 2nd Avenue a lady told me to stop by Good Stuff. Well!!! I had the best time. Much cheaper and just loaded loaded with beautiful items.
It’s a pretty good way from my house 15 miles, but worth the gas and time. Let’s continue to enjoy our purchases, bless others, and be grateful that people give their treasures away. 😂❤
When hanging jumpers on washing line a tip is to fold it over line and put pegs at armpits so you don't get peg marks in bottom

I also put little pieces of paper towel on the sweater before adding the clothespins to keep the pins from staining the fabric.

I have a sign that says “ All Things Are Possible” that must have been the same line as your “Kindness Matters” sign! Another sign that I’ve had for a few years that looks like primitive needlework says “ Don’t Postpone Joy”! I love that!

Love the flour bin! $1.29 seriously? Even better. Gorgeous floral bag, love it! $10.00 is a decent price.There are some QK floral bags you can buy that are not too expensive. Tablecloth was beautiful and great price. Love the angel candlesticks. I do love the brass candlestick that you don’t care for. The top part of the design was more unique. Kindness Matters is cute. You had a wonderful thrifting day!

Try using dark antiquing wax on the bright candle stick to darken it up so it fits in !

I normally do not pick up candle stick holders; i would definitely pick up those angel candle stick holders!
I love the fresh air smells on any clean laundry.
I used to hang every bits of pieces of laundry out on the clothes line to dry during the hot summer heat.
Nowadays, I don't do it anymore. I have chronic neck and back pain so badly that i no longer can bare the pain when I try to hang wet laundry up on the clothes line.

I tell you, I haven't been in a store so long I have never heard of pioneer woman before, but then again, I was never in to names before, I just got because I like it, I am a Goodwill, salvation army, garage sale & flea market woman, decor & clothes my whole life, even my daughter's wedding, I got a dress at goodwill

Your angel candlesticks are vintage from the early 1970s. I know because I bought a set back then and still have them. I think your Worthington sweater came from Penny's. We lived in Greenwood, MS in the 1980s and that was the best department store in town. Yes, to do real shopping I had to drive to Memphis, TN. Luckily my mother was living then and lived less than an hour from Birmingham, AL so I could shop when I went to visit her. I always spent two weeks with her each summer while my hubs was serving in the military so we got some serious school shopping done for our son. 29:23
Love all your videos, Julie. Have you ever tried using fishing line instead of twist ties to hang things. Fishing line becomes virtually invisible and is very strong.

You know I have a trick when you have 2 spots on the back to put up to nail, I put blue tape across the back then punch a hole in the tape where the holes are then tape the tape off and put it on the wall.

Hi Julie. So glad you got to thrift with your family. It's fun when you can get the family to score gently used for their home decor too. Love the beautiful bag you got. So pretty and great for really anytime but especially fall. There was so many things you got that I just loved and like how you fit it into your home decor to make it look like it had always been there. Just beautiful and of course the primitive kindness matters sign looks so good too. Looks like needle point! I can't do needlepoint but I sure can buy them Right? What a great find for your oil lamp. Those are rare to find. Now all you need is a march folder so if the lights go out your set. Please tell your girls hi! They are so sweet and Carson is growing like a little weed. So cute. Great video. You cheer me up so much. I feel like I have a good friend following you. I'm the 72-year-old grandmother who lives in So. Calif. Would you believe I lived on a dairy farm back in 1975. A place called Sulfur Springs. Just visiting a friend. That year, I was introduced to fishing muddy water for carp and frog legs. Then, some sort of furry critter stew. It was a real experience for this homegrown California girl. XOXOXO

Try to use some dark rub and buff to darken candle stick , it’s a great shape and nice different height.

I use to have the same brass candle stick the first one you showed, if you want to make the candle stick all the same, clean them with an SOS pap
You can use rub n buff on the brighter candle stick to get the aged affect and tone the brightness down as well love kim
