If you keep the sack 20-30cm away from your mouth you’ll create a vortex effect and will be able to fill up the bag much more easily. It should only take about two blows. It is "Bernoulli’s Principle of fluid dynamics, where pressure variances result in increased airflow" as per instructions on the sack.
Hej, thanks for the great review! I have a question: how tall are you? I'm thinking of buying one of these, but Im around 167 or maybe 168 and am wondering if the mat is not too short for me. I read it is 168 cm. It seemed on the video also a bit too short for you. Or do you think that is not a problem?
Hey Annelies! Becky is 5'6", which is about 167.6 cm. A lot of hikers use shorter pads to save weight, so there isn't really a "too short" size for a pad as long as it provides sufficient insulation. We'd recommend thinking about what you'd be most comfortable with, though 168 cm length will work for most people around 167 cm. Happy Trails!
Hi Brandi! The Regular length fits users up to 66", and the Long length up to 72". If you like an exact fit, one would just fit on the Regular length pad, or if you like some extra space, the Long length would suit.
Good review except you didn't inflate it correctly. Key is blowing about a foot away from the opening which will carry more air in. Can inflate in 1-2 breathes. I wish somebody would show how to get back in the stuff sack. 😄 Thanks for the vid! It's an excellent thick pad.I love it!

Is it much nosier than Exped Synmat 7 (which I have) or practically the same?
Hey, good question! The Ether Light XT Insulated Mat is pretty average when it comes to noisiness

What size would you recommend for someone that is 5'6"?
