About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.
you guys have an amazing connection. these connections dont come often trust me. Please be together forever guys:) and buy each other flowers once in a while. something i never did :(
Thanks Matteo appreciate it!
I can't believe somebody gave you a thumbs down!! Your best vlog yet guys, you've mastered the art. And the two most infectious smiles on the internet.
Thanks for that we honestly loved creating this episode next weeks is awesome as well can’t wait to share!
Another great Vid team, Karijini is an awesome place to visit. We were the camp just across the road with Van and swags when you guys were their. I was going to come over and say hi and have a beer or 2 but thought you might prefer your privacy and the end of the day when back at camp. Keep up the great work and safe travels
Hey Mike you should have come over and said Gday! Did you have the 200series?
@@itsJackandMegan Yeah that was me, my oldest son had the 76 series directly across from you. Get place to stay for a few nights.
Ahh yeah we remember! I seen you with your bonnet up on the 200 series and seen that nice intercooler and air box! You got hidden under there 😉
@@itsJackandMegan Yep need that for the towing 3.5t, makes a big difference to the temps. Charging the second battery with solar, we had two 95lt fridge freezers running in the back. Chews the battery power like you wouldn’t believe. Jealous of your travels, plans to do the same in a few year’s
Many happy returns Jack , another lap around the sun under the belt ;-) There are so many scenic spots around , many of which I was unaware , I love this .
I'm heading into town shortly to a beachside pub for lunch with an old mate for her birthday today , she's fond of saying "we've known each other for 45 years!" which is true , goes back to prawn trawler days in the Gulf of Carpentaria in the 70's , good times :-) See you in the next episode :-)
Thanks Gordon! 45 years is a long time there really is so many beautiful spot out there! Don’t drink to much 😉
@@itsJackandMegan No worries there mate , if i'm driving I never drink and if I drink I never drive , had a couple of cold ones after I got home though . Top day , the seafood festival was on too so the town was busy , it was a good day :-)
The birthday presents just keep coming! What a beautiful area of the world!! I’m guessing which one of you are creating what I would consider as extremely professional footage . Just the best!!!
Thankyou Jason really appreciate it mate!
Well done great video again guys.
Thanks for watching Gary!
great start to Sunday guys, can't wait for the 2nd half! Cheers
Thanks Steve part 2 is a good one!!
Hi Jack,
belatedly all the best for your birthday.
If I have understood correctly on 18.09.?
If so, then we are already two.
Back from Sweden, beautiful it was but too short.
Temperatures, during the day 20-22 degrees, at night sometimes only 5-6 degrees. We were lucky with the weather, lots of sunshine and no rain and decent wind.
The Landy ran very well, but we will sell this one.
Something more compfort in the future.
Plan, Mercedes Sprinter 316/319CDI 4x4, with additional Igelhaut modification.
Continue to have a good trip.
With us it was at 6.30Uhr, 11 degrees, so no more swimming weather.
Greetings
Hey mate glad to hear you’re doing well! The wind can either make or break a trip lucky it wasn’t to windy!
That van you have mentioned would be an ideal tourer. Especially being the 4wd but are they true low range and high range?
@@itsJackandMegan Hi Jack,
we have been more concerned with the Mercedes and IVECO as 4x4 the last few days.
Mercedes, here you need to work more with specialists who modify the transmission accordingly.
Too complex and too expensive.
The best alternative, for us, is the IVECO Daily as 4x4. You can also get it as a cargo van, with different wheelbases, roof height, permissible total weight, etc.
And with the 4x4 everything is standard, reduction, 3 locks etc..
So a good base, now enough money must be saved....
Or if possible a used car, but that is very difficult.
Unfortunately the Landy and the Guzzi have to find a new home.
Wish you continue to have a good time.
Next level air videography and editing. Awesome work guys. Thanks for sharing. With lots of love-TheEscapedFamily
Thanks guys! We have been loving the drone shots lately it’s a really good way to show these kinds of places.
Granola = Muesli
Ground Beef = Mince
Wrench = Spanner
Star Picket = Steel Post
Once again Ade love your comments 🤣👍
I would love to experience that Hancock gorge, dunno how we can do it with our kids under 5 and cannot swim 😓. So awesome that Gorge.
Lovely video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Happy birthday Jack.
Great video guys. We love watching you guys enjoying life on the road. X
Thanks Carole I’m getting old now 😅👍
scene transitions and editing r on point this ep!
Thanks Martin appreciate it! It all worked out so nicely!
Megan has no fear, she just grabs her noodle and in she goes lol.
She has no fear that’s for sure!
The colour of that red sand meeting the turquoise water at the beginning of your video is breathtaking. 👍
It’s incredible hey that’s at Roebuck bay Broome!
Another great episode guys, thanks for sharing.
Definitely can’t go overlanding in Australia without a pool noodle that’s for sure
Thanks for watching Shad!
100%, missed so many good noodling opportunities in QLD without one 😂😂
Happy birthday Jack 🍻
Woke up in a hammock??!! 😆 🤣
Don't enjoy yourselves too much!! 🤣🤣👍
Thanks mate! 😂😂 would have been freezing!
Hey great vid guy's,so much energy you two give off, power on.Thanks
Thanks Doug!
The intro after the intro and recap-coming-up-montage intro was easily the best intro I've seen. yes, that was confusing to say. But from the mountain panning shot, right up to Jack making a coffee. Brilliant work guys, these are so cinematic and impressive. do you even realise just how good these videos look?! hahah
Also, happy belated birthday to Jack!
I love the positivity you guys have!
😂😂😂 that was hard to read but yes that part was amazing. I had to get the drone up! Would you believe it was 30km winds as well that day. Also we have never actually watched one of our episodes on the big screen before so when we return home it will be very interesting to see how it all looks.
@@itsJackandMegan haha you guys are in for a treat im telling you now! they're great videos!
Absolutely amazing. Nice sound.I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower
Thanks guys, you two are so easy to watch and I think you should keep going and do another lap please.
Thanks for that Dave we definitely want to continue on!
Great video we always look forward to seeing your video each week thanks you people amazing together great smile’s carry on with the great work?

Loved it again guys. So jealous over here in my luxurious lockdown area😩. Happy Birthday mate for whichever day it was🎂🍰🍻. Some fantastic footage looking out over the ranges and in the gorges. Catch you again through the week.
Thanks K the rangers are spectacular hey! Still in lockdown Any news of when you can travel again?
Ha! Saw a comment about you getting a drone???? That person isn’t paying attention to all the drone shots throughout the episodes. As I recall, it’s your 2nd drone!!
It is our 2nd drone haha. The first scene is a drone shot don’t know how they missed that.
🎉 Happy 🦘 Birthday Jack. So glad you went back to do the gorges again plus some!! You are so brave Megan swimming by yourself..eerie but beautiful at the same time.
🦘 Go the Troopie!!
You were right Jack, re: last vlog, we did have a FJ40..twin skin roof, ex Police vehicle..now have to confess we have a 200 series..Luxury for us oldies now!! Still miss our old bone rattler though!! Lol 🇦🇺❤🦘
Thanks Gail! Yes the 200 is a bit of an upgrade 😂
@@itsJackandMegan 😂

Cheers mate!
Just realised you guys have cracked the 10k subs 😁 Congratulations. Next target is 50k by Christmas 👍
Thanks Henry! We are so happy 50k here we come!
I love A SUNBURT COUNTRY.......
BURNT......SORRY
The colour of that water…
Sooo nice isn’t it!
I’d love a honest review on how it’s really like travelling right now. Is it over populated with ppl exploring sense Covid? Is it harder to find available spots to stay the night? Is it worth travelling right now?
It is absolutely worth travelling now we haven’t had to many dramas with booking places ect it’s all very doable and the amount of people you meet is just awesome!
what year model is your troopy?
Hey mate 2005.
@@itsJackandMegan legend! loving your footage, keep up the great work.
Thanks heaps! 😊
Need to get yourself a drone dude,,, get some shit hot shots then
Not sure if you saw but we do have some drone footage in the start of the video however as we head into the National park for the remainder of the episode, drone use is forbidden.
