About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.
Jack, you should consider permanently fitting an Anderson plug to your auxiliary battery for your solar blanket. That way you do not have to open your bonnet every time you need to use your solar. Maybe mount the plug somewhere on the bullbar or grill. Great episode and tips. 👍All of a sudden, I feel hungry after watching this episode. 😁
You know what I actually have one and never thought to use it! It’s wired up as well just didn’t think about it I’ll film it Tommorow and include it the next episode it’s just inside my drivers door.
Love all the swimming holes you guys discovered. So amazing, hopefully I get to experience some. We have young kids, I think some walk will be a challenge or undoable.
I’m sold on that travel buddy. How good.
Mate it is honestly a must have we love it!
Beautiful, all round beautiful.
Cheers mate! 👍😊
Jack finally got in the water! hahaha what a great episode! So good to see you guys spending some time with the family.
You're really showing off that west coast perfectly! makes me want to make the move over there from the east!
I think for lap 2, Jack should swim in every waterhole hahaha
😂😂 I got in mate it was sooo nice!! Yep lap number 2 will be a whole series of me trying out every water hole😂😂
4 lids!! for sure !!
You’re right make it 5 even better haha
OMG!!! Jack was actually in the water. Albeit for a blink of an eye, and he looked uncomfortable. 🤣 Thanks for the tips guys. Maybe do a whole episode on tips for touring Karijini National Park ie. how to get the most from it (Sth to Nth, Nth to Sth), and rate each gorges - from "not to be missed" to "if you have time". Plus ideally how much time/days you need/recommend for each spot. Cheers.
😂😂🤣 I got in guys I could go to my favourite place in Aus and not have a dip!
That’s a very good idea for a little episode we will definitely consider it cheers mate!

Epic episode
👍😊 Thanks!
Didn't look like you had enough cheese there guys ahah
😂😂
Nice one guys. Hamersley Gorge, one of my favs.
"You can never have too much cheese" it's a bit like bacon!
Cheers, Marty from Perth
Hamersley is a special place! Cheese is my favourite (jack) talking here I could eat it all day.
Yep! There is nothing worse than having to endure the smells from your travel buddy 🤣
Mate it smelt so good!!
wow guys, loved that place. I was beginning to doubt that Jack actually got into the water - it was very brief but there you go.......... now that wasn't so bad was it.......? 😁
😂😂 mate it was glorious! The water was so nice. Karijini is a special place. 😃
Cheers for the Karajini info guys. Heading there next year and any inside info about what to see and where to go helps
You will love it mate!
Hancock gorge
Fern pool
Fortescue falls
Should definitely be on your list!

Hi guys.
Wow! I want to live there , just from seeing the camera shots. Can only imagine how good it would be in real life. One thing I’ve learnt from watching all your videos is that my present lifestyle isn’t making sense! 2022 goodbye house hello road!!
Jason you are spot on good by house and hello road 😂😂 the photos opportunities in Karijini are endless!

Thanks so much Craig! We just watched this one back after reading your comment and it brought back so many good memories! Definitely check out Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool, you will love it!
Awesome video guys....as usual. 🤙. Your cocktail looked awesome, and close to a southside 🍸 without the sugar..it calls for 60 ml of gin, so the third "shot" was needed.. cheers
Sorry means to call it a buck cocktail
Mmm yum might have to try gin next time!
Magic
Such a special place!
What time of the day did you go into the Hammersley Gorge? What month did you travel through Kanijini?
Just after sunrise and we visited in September 🥰
Karrijini is probably my favourite place up north. We visited there in 2009, we ended up bailing on heading to Broome, and ended staying an extra week exploring the gorges.
How's the fuel situation these days? Is Tom Price still the closest?
I would love to take the kids there now.
One Life, One Search,
Shane
It really is incredible isn’t it! Yeah Tom Price is the closest or there’s a roadhouse on the opposite end of the park but because of where the entrances are you’d have to come out and all the way around to get to it 😅
Another great video. Quick question what did you cook in the travel buddy? Need to try it. Looks yummy. Safe travels
It was a beef brisket it was glorious!
Awesome! Love Karijini!! Great video guys! What brand awning is that BTW? Would you recommend? We’re looking at getting something along those lines and would love a recommendation!
Thanks for watching! Karijini’s a special place.
The awning is an Alucab shadow awning it has served us very well and would recommend it. It does pool water some times which can be a pain but I believe most awnings would also do this. we want to test the quick-pitch brand out next just to see what it’s like it’s very similar but looks a little sturdier.
@@itsJackandMegan Thank you!! We will check both out then! Loving your videos guys, keep up the good work! We are planning a Perth-Karijini-Broome-Gibb-Darwin-Uluru-Perth trip so binge watching your videos!!!
I see you doing a lot of the great Australian wave there guys, seems to me theres plenty of flies about.Do you use anything at all to help with the flies or just deal with them.Great vid guys by the way will be starting my trip of oz next year.
Thanks for watching Steve! We just deal with the flies you just get used to them after a while but some of them just don’t give up 😂😂 congrats on leaving for your big trip it will be the best thing you ever do!
Hope you read my last comment about the emoji. I’ll have to work on my humour 🤪
Haha I did mate wasn’t to sure what it meant 🤣
Great video and thanks for the info as to where to stay for the different gorges. What time did you go to Hammersley Gorge ie what time?
Thanks Lisa. We got there at 8pam from memory. Had the whole place to ourselves for a while to!
@@itsJackandMegan sorry, I meant what time did you do your walk? In your video you say you were there early and had it to yourself for a few hours. Just wondering how early you were there….
@@lisasteele6895 We arrived around 8am but it’s only a very short walk to the waterfall there (about 10-20 mins). The crowds started arriving around 10am!
Once again you guys have produced a great video ?we use our travel buddy all the great investment ? You’re SMILING is infectious thanks ?and we think 5 CAPS mate go hard or stay home??🥃🤜🔥🔥🔥🤛
😂😂 5 caps we would get along 😂😂 Thanks for watching guys!
