Completely forgot to include your LFS which does not allow for much profit but you can move multiple fish at a time, and if your lucky enough to have one a local wholesaler who will probably buy more fish than you can breed but at pennies on the dollar. Remember when you pay $2.99 for a Neon Tetra the LFS probaly paid $.30 plus shipping.
If you have a good relationship with your LFS and you take trade, you can do pretty good. It also helps if you can regularly supply the same fish. For example, you can bring in 25 Hillstream loaches at the same time every month. I had never heard of Band, In other news, I found baby calico bushy nose all over my tank this morning. I thought they were a few months away from breeding. So cute! What will I do with so many? - oh wait... listen to Jason!
Hi, if I were to home breed some fish, normally what are the difference of price ( interns of percentage ) between retail price and the price local aquarium willing to buy from me ? Understand that it is different in each country, but just a rough estimation
one thing i did is i went to a couple of local fish shops, {smaller shops not like pet smart} and spoke to the owner and asked them what fish they would like me to breed and they would buy off of me and at what price.

Another awesome video my friend thanks for all the information man you're very knowledgeable when it comes to the fish hobby and how to make a profit God bless
Our Aquarium Society (Saskatoon Aquarium Society) auctions allow members to set a minimum bid price which you can reduce if no one is interested or just take your item home. The Society charges a 25% fee to auction items to cover Society costs. Thanks for your video content. Fred O
Thanks, I've never heard of Band! I live in a tiny town on top of a mountain and we have no LFS. Also, the population is elderly and poor so selling locally isn't really possible other than maybe a few fish here or there. Also, some of the AdBlock type apps work for AquaBid. I can't watch flashing distracting ads, they make me unreasonably angry, but I would suggest buying merch or hitting the donation button so that AquaBid makes a little money. EDITED for clarity.
Anything I can't dump what I'd call privately I usually unload on my lfs. While the profit isn't as high if you need to ditch a bunch of fish at once they'll usually buy in decent quantities.
did you say open up your own webpage? also, there is at fish club meetings, fish club auctions, fish club webpage, I do not remember hearing you say these. Which one are you going to sell your fry??? getgills?
Selling to an LFS works for me. Well.. they are more hobbyist biased and are moderately activity in the fish keeping community. It should go on your option list anyway.

Thanks for the info. Bringing fish to petstores for credit or cash. Some online vendors and some fish farms will, especially in times of shortages, buy from you if you have enough quality & quantity of highly sellable species to sell on a continuing basis.

I love being able to support my hobby by selling my extra stuff. It helps to allow you to expand without spending too much extra cash.

Great video covering tons of information. There's definitely money to be made by breeding fish, but like you said depends on where you live.

I have a store on Getgills I just don't use it. I'll probably build my own web page eventually.
Offer up is another place
