At my first recital I played my song with only one small mistake, but here at my second one, I found myself making a lot more mistakes! I have to assume this was mostly due to the nerves of performing in front of other people, since I was able to play these songs flawlessly at home. I knew that this performance wasn't a big deal, but my hands still felt all weak and shaky, and my mind went into an annoying kind of fog that made it difficult to concentrate. I guess I was just a little bit scared! I suppose one of the only ways to overcome these nerves is to just keep trying and slowly becoming more comfortable with it! Every time I do this it feels like I grow in a way I never would have otherwise.
Thanks for watching everyone
Doing new things is often really hard for people who excel at something else! You did great and it is inspiring to people like me who struggle to step out into new things in case we’re not “perfect”.
Agreed the more you try the easier it gets. You didn’t come off as nervous in your presentation. You have a very positive pleasant demeanor.
Nice songs👏👏👏
Love to see this! Growth is great. There’s always a next time. That’s the cool thing about being human ❤
Sounds about right. I've been playing for years and only recently started trying to get over my stage fright. Shaky hands, foggy brain, the notes blur together, very much relying on muscle memory. It's encouraging to see I'm not alone in the struggle. We'll get it down eventually, provided our hands don't shake themselves off and go running out the door first lol.
Dude you couldn't really tell if you made a lot of mistakes, and you couldn't really tell you were nervous either. We are generally our own worse critic. Nonetheless, it was really good and I found this very endearing. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to hear your future work. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate Sims who take it upon themselves to learn a new craft
It takes a lot of effort just to be there; big respect and great performance
This guy… art and music? Piano man this guy…
Just a little advice that can also help with nerves, when performing the time just before you play and just after you play are super important. So I play flute and need to breath and so I take aaaaages before I start, so I can prepare, think about what I’m going to do and take a breath to calm me down, also at the end (in particular with your first piece) let it hang, let the atmosphere just hang right at the end of the piece and then finish rather than being like _last note_ ALRIGHT BOYS WE DONE NOW
Thank you peter, your content means a lot to me, love you be happy
Keep playing, you will get better and never regret the work. Music stimulates the brain and keeps one young. Bravo! From Padova,Italy.
Despite any mistakes (which are very normal unless you're incredibly advanced), it sounds like you've made a lot of progress since your last recital. Lots of good things in both pieces you played. You brought out the somber quality really well in the first piece, and I like your use of ritardando. And I especially like your use of articulation and staccato vs. legato in the second piece. Gives it that kind of playful and somewhat jazzy quality. Keep it up!
You’ve been a stalwart source of inspiration for years. Thank you for all your content and art.
Great job! Everyone was entertained and I have no clue what flaws to look for so it was perfect
Performing I imagine is a skill as much as learning to play the piece in the first place is. I think you have a good rapport with the audience and the pieces sounded great. Keep doing what you're doing.
AHHH ive been watching a long time, AND LET ME SAY this was beautiful, nostalgic and inspiring. thank you for existing peter
it's really wholesome to see you doing stuff even when it get on your nerves, so much inspiration emaning from you peter. really proud it was so so nice!
That's so freaking cool you're learning piano. I'm glad you're getting into some form of live performances- you're very funny and entertaining.
I always come back to your channel by chance when I have a bad time or just feel down. It is nice to see your unfiltered authentic way and pursuit of your crafts. Helps me to do the same and keep my head up. Thank you
So wonderful watching you play.
I work for an Eisteddfod and just love seeing our entrants improve from one season to the next.
What i love even more is just seeing performers of all ages just getting out there and having fun on stage.
Cant wait to see what your next performance is like
Yayyy! I'm watching as I wait for my adult piano students to come to lesson. It takes a lot to play in recitals. I love to hear you play and know that piano teachers are rooting for you
I can totally empathize with you! I took lessons and every year my nerves got worse. Love the selection. The jazzy chord progressions really remind me of your work. Don’t stop!!! We love you Peter ❤
Peter this is great! Im a musician myself, and i find nerves before a performance to be the #1 most difficult part of playing. Its harder than learning the instrument itself. Good work doing it despite the fear!
👏 me actually clapping after each piece. Well done!
I learned piano when i was 35 and loved it! Nice!
So awesome! So talented in so many different ways. You go boy!
Living my dream, man! Wish I could play so well.
2:39 is giving bob’s burgers and i’m so here for it
Thank you for playing and sharing! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍❤️❤️❤️
Nicely done ! Congratulations.
I hated recitals and performing for others. I know in my head that doing it more and more usually makes it easier.
I'm impressed that you are continuing to pursue your goals for yourself. Keep on, man!
Hold your head high Peter you done a great performance.it takes big kahunas to do what you just done.Gratz Bro.
Playing in front of people can be so nerve wracking. Bravo!
Keep it up dude, you're killing it!
You're a Rock Star Peter !!!!!

Definitely said this before but as a musician trying to go pro in an orchestra I LOVE THIS SO MUCH U CAN DO IT KEEP GOING 💖💖💖💖
Nicely done, that's great for only 6 months
Great job! I used to do many recitals when I was younger and it was very stressful and nerve wracking.
You did great! You're progressing so much, in every direction. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Peter will always inspire and amaze me, great job and great progress with the piano.
You did great, Peter! The second one is hard, well done 🤩👏
👏👏👏👏👏 You're getting very good at playing!
SO PROUDDD THATS MY SONNNN!!!!!
Great job! It takes a lot to preform in front of others.
Excellent!
BRAVO PETER...we out here celebratin' you and your guts to go up there and do the thing...may we not take ourselves too seriously as visitors on planet Earth
I really enjoyed the photos at the end 😂
You've progressed really quickly. I get massive nerves playing in front of others. You did well. A few little mistakes are understandable and they weren't really that noticeable although I'm sure you were very aware of them.
Bravo!! 👏 ❤ 👏!!! I was wondering when you would play for us after your Italy trip! Sweet!! ❤❤❤
Congratulations ❤
I dont usually comment but youre an inspiration man. Awesome!!!
People watching always takes more bravery. My solution is to practice so much, that it doesn’t matter what’s happening around me. Shit’s in my muscles at that point
Well played
Congrats! Beautiful!!
I'm not a musician so me saying I didn't hear any mistakes probably doesn't hold much weight (I really didn't though!). Those pictures at the end were perfect! I want to draw them, but even more I would like to see Peter Draw them in his own style ☺ ...or both lol
Hullo Peter, I commend your efforts and applaud your performance!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You must preform in front of people to get better at preforming in front of people! I know that we most often practice until we are exhausted, but being well rested before going out to preform can be a real key to a successful performance! So practice like you said, “Perfect at home by yourself” then rest and maybe one warmup a short time before going out! I have every belief that you are going to be a wonderful performer, you do so well with your videos and gathering confidence in this new art form is all you truly need. Thank you for sharing this new part of your artistic journey with us. I have enjoyed watching your videos and seeing your progress in so many different mediums and sharing your joy in this journey of yours, thank you.
awesome job! sounded great
Proud of you!!

Dang, Peter! Mistakes and all this was great! You're progressing so much! Every time I see you start to hone a new skill or craft it just makes me so inspired to branch out myself. You make hard work look rewarding and I want to work hard too!
