The year 2024 has started and is in full swing already, so it is time for a substantial channel update video! I had a lot of good experiences already, mostly during my short vacation in North Germany, furthermore there are a few things to say about the Toy Fair in Nuremberg and i wasn´t lazy at the workbench either. Some projects made really good progress and i can also report about a few new one.
Apart from that i have received a couple of awesome donations, like from the companies Gero Design and BenQ. Thank you very much for that!
I am looking forward to the two model shows in the coming weeks in particular, namely the PMS Sachsen 2024 and the Mosonshow. I will report about them in the usual form.

Hallo Michael war mal wieder ziemlich Kurzweilig dein Update. Find ich unheimlich klasse das Du deine Familie so würdigst, ist ja in unserer Zeit nicht mehr so selbstverständlich. Die Arbeit die Du in dein Haus gesteckt hast ist aller ehren wert, kann auch nur ein Modellbauer verstehen😊. Hut ab! Mir scheint, als ob wir noch etwas Ukrainisches sehen werden, in der Zukunft. Auf jedenfall kriegst Du auch was Fertig, nicht so wie ich😂. Danke und viel Spaß bei Deinen nächsten Vorhaben.

Der T-60 mit Großonkel war schon lange auf meiner Agenda, aber jetzt ist es nicht mehr lange hin bis zum 80. Jahrestag...daher ist durchaus Eile geboten. Mir ist das wichtig irgendwie.

Nice update Michael. There are many art works whiat I want to see in detail. I've started to build model, figure and bases recently. So even an one photo of the production in progress would be helpful to me. Have a nice week end and stay safe please my friend. Cheers, NOB
Thank you mate :) I will try to include more details about the diorama bases in the future videos, that makes sense. The kits are obvious, you just follow the instructions, but the bases are all unique and built without instructions.
Dein selbst gebautes Haus sieht wirklich ausgezeichnet aus. Respekt für die Mühe. Ich baue aktuell schon den Late Tiger von Takom. Die Passgenauigkeit ist ausgezeichnet soweit. Zumindest bei der Wanne. Turm habe ich noch nicht angefangen.
Vielen Dank dafür, die Mühe macht sich beim Haus schon bemerkbar. Noch ein paar Details und dann ist es gut denke ich :)

For some reason i missed this one! Cool to see another update. Seeing you build a Mycenaean warrior exited me a lot! Last year i visited Greece and i spent a day at Mycenae which was one of the highlight of my trip! Have you read Homers works?
It's a great thing to build a scene of your grandfather i think! I'm sure it will be a unique and interesting scene with a special meaning for you.
The Priest diorama inspired me to build a house like that myself some day! That's some detail!
Cheers mate, luckily the video stay there, so one can not really miss them, in the end they show up and can be viewed :) Glad you like what i do with my various projects! That Bronze Age figure was so inspiring, so it is nice to see it all done now and i am playing with the idea to paint a few more of this subject in the future.
That build about my granduncle is indeed a very special one so i will try to put an extra amount of effort into that one! I hope it turns out a i envision it in the end :)

Nice update! I Like the T-60 dedication build. I’ve just finished the same beute-panzer T-60 from RPM. Fun little tanks 💥👍💥
Thank you man :) RPM has a few kits, which were not available by other brands for a very long time and they are not too bad either. That MiniArt kit of the T-60 is really awesome all around though, i enjoyed it a lot.
Hallo. Vielen Dank für das Update. Wie immer sehr interessant. Deine Werkbank ist gut gefüllt. Das Haus sieht wirklich top aus. Da bin ich auf das fertige Dio gespannt. Viel Spass auf den Ausstellungen.

Busy as always, I see... :) I'm surprised you have never been to Hamburg before, even I have managed that a few times, albeit only as a stop on the way from London to Sweden, with the Eurolines Coaches. I like the look of your Mycenian (excuse the spelling) figure, so am looking forward to that video. Great to see the progress (or not) on some of your current projects as well, especially the one that has a close family connection to you.
Now that I have watched your update, I'm about to pack the kits I'm taking to the 'East Of England Model Show' in Peterborough tomorrow. They claim that the show this year is 'bigger than ever', so that will be interesting. Judging by the website there will be plenty of both clubs and traders, but I am not bringing too much money as I don't really need more kits (at the moment). Will focus mainly on any accessories that tickles my fancy, perhaps some resin figures maybe, but definitely fine tip brushes and paints, I think. Then again, I am bound to find something that I like in the way of kits as well, no doubt.
I will do my best to take photos of what is on show, but judging by the number of clubs attending, it will be near impossible to cover all. I guess I will have to walk around the tables a few times. I will bring a few Drakens and my Sherman 105mm Howitzer to the show, and a few boxes of my 'home made' Dragons Teeth' that will go for sale 'under the table'. I want to see if there is an interest at all in such a thing, Dragons Teeth can be quite expensive on ebay, I find. Mine won't be.. :) It's more a case of filling a gap in the market, rather than an attempt to make money out of it..
Next week I am off of work again, using up my very last annual leave before April, so I hope to have the Show Video up and running early in the week, as I know you expressed an interest in this particular show. I aim to please..
Well, technically i´ve been to Hamburg before, passing through it on the Autobahn a few time, which counts in a way, but up until now i could not claim to have actually "seen" or "experienced" the city :)
Glad you get out on some shows more often now! I am sure you enjoy that a lot and a video with a few photos of the models on display would be greatly appreciated. Seems like the UK has a good model show density so to say.

Eine Menge Projekte, somit echt kein Leerlauf. Schöne Sache mit dem Bau für Deinen Großonkel. Auch das Haus ist ein Haufen Arbeit, der sich aber sehr gelohnt hat!

Leerlauf, das wäre ja noch schöner :) Danke dir für dein Lob, sowohl der T-60 als auch der Priest sind Projekte, die mir jenseits des Modellbaus noch viel mehr bedeuten. Ich denke das sieht man auch.
Bei sowas steckt man noch viel mehr Energie rein. Gutes Gelingen!

Cheers mate, my pleasure :) The Aeronauticum museum used to be one of the places, where the German Zeppelin bombers were launched in WW1. Furthermore it had some stuff of the Brequet Atlantic on display, an aircraft my father worked on in the 1980s.

wieder ein super Kanal Update !!! Schön das es ein wenig an der 28-cm-Kanone 5 ein klein wenig weiter geht, wenn auch ´´nur´´ mit Gleisen. Da bin ich gespannt drauf weil das sieht man nicht alle Tage. Genauso wie das zerstörte Haus für das Elsassdiorama. Schöner Aufbau das durchaus inspiriert es nachzubauen. Mit dem M 7 Priest gibt das eine schöne realistische Szenerie.
Super ist auch das du deinen Großonkel ein würdiges Denkmal setzt, hervorragend umgesetzt anhand deiner Bilder von ihm. Ein sehr emotionaler Themenbereich, schön das du es annimmst und ihn so in ehren hältst
Bleib Gesund lieber Michael, viel Spaß auf den Modellbaumessen und mach weiter wie bisher. Hoffentlich auf bald mal wieder

1° you had a beautiful and interesting trip at Christmas. I dream of visiting this electric train museum, it’s fabulous. (yes, ...unfortunately it's crowded and I hate that too...but...)
2° thank you for the feedback on the bronze paintings of GSW. Personally, I use metal paints from Scale75 and I am very happy with them: Metal'n Alchemy (by brush). The Golden metallic paint set is breathtaking.
3° the dio ''Priest'' will be majestic. In a dio, the houses are as important (if not more) than the models. For me, it's a pleasure to build and it's a bit of a change from the routine of plastic assemblies. Creativity is harnessed and it’s very refreshing.
4° very beautiful project than that of your great uncle. The figure is very accurate, don't worry. Take your time and make us a jewel in his memory.

That is a good input about the metal color paints, i will give that a look. I like Scale75 in general, so i hope their paints are also good!
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling their paints are very good and above all very matte, very pigmented but you have to shake a lot. A Vortex for mixing is a good and quick tool.

Die Ausstellung in FFB ist bis auf weiteres vom Tisch, ich denke auch nicht, dass die wieder zurückkommen wird.
Alternativen gibt es noch ein paar, aber das Feld ist dünn geworden in den letzten Jahren.
Da wären die Bayerischen Modellbautage in Ergolding, die Augsburger Modellbautage in Augsburg/Hirblingen oder die Stammheimer Modelltage in Stammheim am Main. Auch die Modellbau-Ausstellung in Ried im Innkreis ist eine gute Veranstaltung. Dort findet man eigentlich überall einen guten Teil der früheren Aussteller und auch das Publikum, die man schon aus FFB kennt.

-Creighton here, was wondering if you'd seen, or yet viewed the newer YT modeling channel: "MODELITE" as of yet? (Been going about 1 years time now, -About 12-13 vids, builds n' Dio's done IIRC?..His latest is a WW1 themed trench dio bearing a French 'St. Chamond' tank, 1st part of series is available. His 1/35th figure mods & terrain effects are outstanding indeed!)
-His work is top-notch stuff, he's a kind, thoughtful young man & his work(s) are DEF well worth a looksee/sub from you n' your own ModelingManiac fellowship base here....
-Jus' thought I'd drop a line to ya'allz, as its uber-important to continue sharing YT modeling related channels, personal skills, warning/failure-points of products, poss build/printed instruction faults, features, issues & the communities amassed collective totality concerning modeling work, techniques n' tips...

-Agreed on the sheer amount of AMAZING builders out there & the all the wonderful vids being created. This platform & others like it REALLY benefits novice.mid-level & pro modelers, as back in the day we werent so simply able to bounce ideas, adequately demonstrate modeling techniques in SEEN/shown A>B>C to 1>2>3 fashion. Unless physically present @ local modeling types of networks/shows/clubs...
I know Ive soaked up a TON of helpful knowledge & have been inspired from guys n' gals the likes of youreself! (MUCH THANKS my friend!;)

Haha das stimmt! Man muss aber auch zugeben, dass man ja durchaus versucht hat dem Land etwas weiter gefasste Grenzen zu geben, vom Atlantik bis kurz vor Moskau ist es ja auch ein Stück immerhin :) Da hatten nur viele was dagegen, daher bleibt Norddeutschland für mich eine sehr weit entfernte Gegend :D Eine Fahrt von Atlanta nach New York ist jetzt auch für amerikanische Verhältnisse nicht ohne, bzw. macht man das auch nicht jeden Monat.

Domanda Michael: il carro armato T 60 è per principianti o per modellisti esperti? Ho visto che ha molte foto incisioni. Hai cambiato le tracce sono costruite male vero? Grazie Corrado
Non credo che il kit sia adatto ai principianti, bisogna usare molti pezzi e non è proprio facile. I cingoli erano ok, ma erano un po' fragili e le piccole aree per la colla erano un problema. I pezzi di ricambio non sono affatto migliori!
