Most interesting aspect about the prologue to me is it confirms Matt and Mike were quite close friends back then. Both from the first photo you find on the camera as well as the way they're seen chatting when Jess comes back from spying on Hannah. It's a bit sad when you realize their friendship became pretty shaky between the prologue and the main game, since Matt and Mike's lowest relationship status is with each other before they get back on the mountain. Whatever happened between them clearly had to do with Emily through the break-up and new couples drama. Emily and Jess' friendship was ruined even more obviously. Even more intriguing is that Emily and Mike were still on very good terms, same with Jess and Matt.
This version really drives home the fact that Jessica not Emily is the mastermind behind the prank & she did it because she didn't want anybody else getting in her way of taking Mike from Emily, "her girl" anywho this is my favorite game of all time & pumped for a direct sequel i hope Sam & Mike return to the mines to look for Josh/wendigo Josh
I'll hope than won't have any crashes issues because i've got a lot like around 12, and i am at chapter 7, that tells than there's just something wrong.
@@rraduku6636 have you not played the game yet? Then definitely wait until you've played the game yourself, I'm very open with spoilers in this playthrough.
@@TheGamingLodge oh no i know the game very well, i jusy want to see the remake and i rlly like your content. I m sort of in the same situation of never have played the game but i have watched it a lot
@@Braawl_Verse It's not that. They rerecorded so many of their lines anyway, and they got a few new ones here and there sprinkled throughout the game too.
@@Braawl_Verse It feels longer only because of the further exploration they added. Most of the areas are larger now so you can comb them for new interactible objects and the relocated totems. The game itself doesn't feel longer though, I've seen a couple of playthroughs of it already that are just 6 hours (and everyone lives). Not every single clue, totem or item was picked up in them though. The totems are especially harder to find and they take quite a while if you don't know where they are. As for a sequel: I hope not. I've never understood the desire for a sequel to a game that you literally decide the ending to. A sequel will always have to go off a specific ending or at least specific elements of a certain ending, which defeats the purpose of a game where everyone's fate and status is in your hands. I love that they added a new epilogue for Josh where he's found and doesn't resort to cannibalism. But I'm not a fan of the final epilogue scene with Sam, it really feels like cheap sequel bait. The bleeding scar is weird, and how it even happens is unexplained, but the weirdest part is that the scene always plays if Sam lives, no matter what happens to Josh. Josh can be human, wendigo or straight up dead, yet the exact same scene with Sam plays if she survived. It makes no sense, considering the voice at the end calling her name is clearly Josh.
@@Robalexe The only way that they can make a sequel is to clearly tell us a true ending OR you can pick exactly who you will play with in this new game Idk, the true ending makes more sense because some people killed almost everybody
FINALLY. Join me on this nostalgic ride through this game that we all love so much - now finally experienced by myself!

The prologue is AMAZING!

28:16 Uh, I don't know what happens if you follow the noise? Does Beth get killed by a Wendigo?

bro shut up and let him play without spoils
When the chapter 1 is out?
15:00 and I've been edged
Ngl I wish there was more dialogue. This prologue is twice as long but has the exact same lines as the original
They don't wanna pay the actors...

But the game feels so much longer, we should be getting more dialogue
