I always try to sit near this location on a plane. I love to look outside at the engine just..."crankin' out all that power" and watching the wing slowly flex upward. All those physics!!! I am always amazed at the wonders of jet flight. Nice video.
Totally awesome video - one of the most still vids I have seen on YT to date! You have done a great job, love it. I felt like I was on the plane and my stomach felt light as the pilot made a sharp turn after takeoff. The only thing that could have made it better was to not have a view of DIA - JUST KIDDING! On par with (actually better than) my my LAX takeoff. I hope, really hope you are going to upload the landing (or did the Chinese take it from you and copy it! Haha).
2:08 is very Powerful mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMRRRRRRRRRRRWWWWHWHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGRRRRRRRRROOORORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROROORRRRRRRRRRRRROORORO
It's an awesome beast you ride... a marvelous steel dragon! And a highly advanced manmade structure that gives me the goose bumbs! Bringing you from A to B in style, giving you the best view of earth, the colors and the clouds. Aviation itself bieng advanced, highly automized Fligh Management systems on board make sure you come timely and safely. Autoflight systems that eases the pressure on the pilot and guide them through the highway of the skies and bliding fogs. "a tank?" I hate you.
Emadix, The 777 you were on probably was on a much lower take off setting, There is no set take off power and no same takeoff. 777-200ER makes almost double the power of an A330. Hope this helps! The 777-200ER with P&Ws I have flown on feels like a rocket on takeoff. 777-300ERs are smooth, yet powerful/confident. The 777-300 with P&Ws has a subtle and gentle takeoff. But like I said, its all in the factors of what power settings, and that is based on location, weight and time.
@TSBA92 Thanks! I like the United Livery instead of the new United continental livery. The United livery has always looked so beautiful with the blue color.
Yes UA does use the Pw4090 and the GE90-94 ,but if you go to EWR you will find the Pw4090 birds flying trans Atlantic from EWR to BRU, but Ge powered B777-200s fly EWR-HKG, or EWR-PEK and some other routes
@onecunningfox Thanks! Hearing this from you means a lot! haha! I will upload the landing with in the next few days. I literally have so much footage to upload. I flew back to JFK on an Air China 747 but, only recorded the landing.
Yes they are PW4090s since these are B777-222s, but the ones have GE90 in UA's fleet have the Boeing customer code of B777-224 so these might clear up the confusion you made regarding UA's B777-200 fleet
@boarder808 The flight attendants always speak English. They're are some selected flight attendants who speak the language of the region your flying to. The entertainment either speaks the language or has sub titles.
@onecunningfox Fox! It's been quite some time since I have heard from you. Yes your tips were very helpful. AA is get 777-300's? I'm excited to see you post a takeoff and landing on that. I will be staying tuned. -Jake
Very, very cool! I think you have the hang of it now. Good job C-Guy. I hope my advice and insight has helped you. It appears that way. Keep it up and I await more. (P.S. - I am waiting to get an AA 777-300 with the GE90-115b's as soon as they roll it out!). Stay tuned, as will I to your channel. Godspeed - Fox.
@Roostman75 I know I am sorry the upload speed just was not happening in China. I recorded a lot from the Air China 747 I flew to JFK on my way back. Expect to see that with in the next few weeks. I will narrate through it. I was on the upper deck :).
Even with the Merger United will still get 25PMCO B787s with GE engines, but the 25PMUA B787s will get RR Trent 1000 and can be engine swapped with GENX at a later date.
@EmadIV Its no problem, I wasnt trying to be rude or anything, I just know United very well :), but you are right that most are powered by the Pratts, UA has always preffered Pratts, I honestly like them the most our of any other engines, I think they sound a lot deeper
continentals used the ge90-94b. United used the pw4090, since both airlines got merged, the continental planes are named united now. So the uniteds you see with ge90s are original continental planes. I prefer the -94b but the PWs are more fuel efficient and cheaper. The GEs are gas guzzlers.
Do you know if it was one of Continental's aircraft, did you see the registration? Because they are integrating the 777 fleet hence it could have been a UA or CO aircraft if it had the new livery.
@flydubai100 This was a great experience! They were wonderful. However, sometimes they won't be that good. Comes down to where your sitting potentially.
@vzclubbie you asked me how do I know its not a former Cont bird and my response was that Cont does not have PW on their aircraft. if this were a former Cont plane it wouldnt sound like this it would be a GE engine, lol
What a brilliant video, why cant more people video like this on youtube, no music, no fancy titles spinning round the screen, I nice steady fixed shot so the viewer can look around instead of the Blaire Witch style videos which are normally uploaded. Congrats, really good job....
Or Runways that are somewhat flexible, bendable n capable of endless levitation into endless gradients so I can experience endless Takeoff/landings that feel like endless Takeoffs. Can you dig it?
I like how jetblue engine sounds better. You feel so amazing and plus i dont like united because i flown in it once and the plane went down in mid air!!! It was scary
@210482fmj Honestly pressurized cabins always have a funny feel to them. You may be just feeling a little bit of anxiety. I know I get that sometimes when I am not actually the one flying. However if it wasn't healthy flight attendants and pilots would all have the same health related issue.
I love the engine sound. I've flown a number of times and it still amazes me. Never been on a 777 though. That's on my bucket list.
I always try to sit near this location on a plane. I love to look outside at the engine just..."crankin' out all that power" and watching the wing slowly flex upward. All those physics!!! I am always amazed at the wonders of jet flight. Nice video.
0:58 beautiful sound!
Its United, what do you expect, I have flown United since I was 15, and never will fly anything else :) United is the best!
God I love that spool up on the 777 doesn't matter if it's a GE RR or PW. Very nice video!
Agree! That awesome PW4000 buzz is all the music needed. Thanks for a natural, non-gimmicky-video!
Amazing P&W4077/4090 spool up
T

92,000 pounds of thrust (each) to get that plane up. 78 gallons per min @ take off each + cost 15 million each

Great vid. Took off from RWNY 19C. Luv hearing those engines
Cathay Guy, great video! That powerful takeoff is supposed to make the camera shake a little.
2:09 is the start of awesomeness

Music to my ears😳
im flying on a triple 7 when I come back from houston to newark in march so excited to fly on this plane
well never got to fly one since united changed the aircraft at the last minute damn them lol 737's suck
Awesome video! Still hard to get used to the Continental colors being painted onto United aircraft though
@onecunningfox Thanks! Hearing this from you means a lot! haha! I will upload the landing with in the next few days. I literally have so much footage to upload. I flew back to JFK on an Air China 747 but, only recorded the landing.

@sherlockhomes74 Thanks! I was able to listen to the pilots the head phone jack on the side of the seat, and putting it on channel 9.
The center cone is so mesmerizing
@boarder808 The flight attendants always speak English. They're are some selected flight attendants who speak the language of the region your flying to. The entertainment either speaks the language or has sub titles.
most beautiful sound in the world ...........
@flydubai100 united is probably the best Airline from the U.S. - Have a great trip, I'm sure it will be great
@MrPants1970 Appreciate your kind words sir. Have a good one.
I saw one of these take off from atlanta hartsfield last weekend while waiting in the terminal for my flight and it made the whole place rattle!
@onecunningfox Fox! It's been quite some time since I have heard from you. Yes your tips were very helpful. AA is get 777-300's? I'm excited to see you post a takeoff and landing on that. I will be staying tuned.

@genysys20 u can also know it's united because their 777 fleet used PW engines while continental used GE

Wow the Boeing 777 is like a sports aircraft!
and the 737 is a Sedan
@airplanecrazy1989 I did. The headset that was handed out though was just not properly put up against my mic. Thanks for the advice.
those wings sure do flex a lot
@EmadIV I think you need to correct that statement, because United does have another brand of engines on its Airbus
Simply Awesome!
@Roostman75 I know I am sorry the upload speed just was not happening in China. I recorded a lot from the Air China 747 I flew to JFK on my way back. Expect to see that with in the next few weeks. I will narrate through it. I was on the upper deck :).

great!!! P&W4000.. spectacular!!
Holy shit!!!! I can't wait to travel with the Boeing 777 this summer!!! :D
How do you film take offs/landings? You always get the best views during those times and they always tell you to turn it off :(
Going to do the trip on Friday but from seat 33F not 3A ;-) Were you able to see the aurora as you headed over the pole?
I don't know if it's the video or what, but the sound of that plane doesn't sound too good! Would've been a little worried on there lol!
@vzclubbie Continental has the GE engines, not United, United only has PW on their 777's
I love PW Engines

Nice photo dude, I worked at Dulles for United Express (Presidential Airways) in 1989 for six months, what runway did you take off from?
awesome video! :)
how do you manage to keep the camera so steady?, mine always get pretty shaky as soon as we spool up :S
next time try to turn the volume for channel 9 All the way, as much as possible....
Do you know if it was one of Continental's aircraft, did you see the registration? Because they are integrating the 777 fleet hence it could have been a UA or CO aircraft if it had the new livery.
No, PW4090. The 4077 is only on the non-ER 772s.
I've been told it's from the fan blades creating shockwaves because they're moving so fast.
@flydubai100 This was a great experience! They were wonderful. However, sometimes they won't be that good. Comes down to where your sitting potentially.
nice sound
Nice vid!
I've only been on a -300er so I'd love to fly on older 777s
pure epicosity!!! favorite!
@vzclubbie you asked me how do I know its not a former Cont bird and my response was that Cont does not have PW on their aircraft. if this were a former Cont plane it wouldnt sound like this it would be a GE engine, lol
I'm flying on one of these from LAX to Tokyo, seat E (dead middle I think). How much is this going to suck?
What a brilliant video, why cant more people video like this on youtube, no music, no fancy titles spinning round the screen, I nice steady fixed shot so the viewer can look around instead of the Blaire Witch style videos which are normally uploaded. Congrats, really good job....
@frtguy80 how do you know its not a former continental bird? :P they have GE's :)
What's that little thingy spinning in front of the engine ?
did this united plane have what is now the continental livery???
I'm pretty sure it's the sound of large air currents moving through the turbine at a rapidly increasing speed.
@randomlol21 Thanks! I just held the camera really hard with both hands and, I suppose that worked out good. :)
Thanks for watching!
@Max Schwartz well yes but only electronics with wifi or any internet connection but i see why you would say that
How do you get to travel so often?
were they're personal tv's ?
those p&w engines sounds insane...
Ahhh look at that wing flex!!
Or Runways that are somewhat flexible, bendable n capable of endless levitation into endless gradients so I can experience endless Takeoff/landings that feel like endless Takeoffs. Can you dig it?
the pressure is infact slightly lower and infact still higher than your avarage midwestern storm.
@Ihdc1 This is the new United paint...
@frtguy80 They're the same airline now, that's the point.
@TheGleeVids Yes
@vancamp4566 Yes you can. Via channel 9.
Wow DC to Beijing that's a long flight
Oh God
Veeeeeeeery nice sound
1:00 sounds like a hooter
I'm flying this tomorrow night back to london, kinda nervous...anybody got any tips/advice for keeping cool?
You can listen to the pilots?
I like how jetblue engine sounds better. You feel so amazing and plus i dont like united because i flown in it once and the plane went down in mid air!!! It was scary
look at that wing flex!
Do you just fly around for the hell of it or do you have an another reason for flying all the time?
littke white thing spinning in the engine looks sick as hell!
man what a nice sound coming from those massive white engines
Those particular engines belong to Pratt and Whitney.
Damn Pratts Roar!!!!
It shows that the fan blades are spinning.
It's not hard to do. Just have your phone/camera on and ready to go, but in your pocket, until the F/As sit down. I do it all the time.
What's the registration?
Superb
departure from Kirkenes airport,SK4477:)
panaroma take off
Thats power baby!!!
@genysys20 I asked the pilots, they said it was United.
What is an engine sound looks like... PW9040 or RR Trent 800
PW
I have a reason to fly every time.
@210482fmj Honestly pressurized cabins always have a funny feel to them. You may be just feeling a little bit of anxiety. I know I get that sometimes when I am not actually the one flying. However if it wasn't healthy flight attendants and pilots would all have the same health related issue.
man look at that wing flex
