As a NICU nurse in Scotland, seeing these very personal moments of a parent of a baby in NICU its such a privilege to see. We see so much of the upset but those very personal moments when you are home we never quite grasp that situation. Thankyou for sharing your journey, your twins are absolutely lovely and im so happy to see them breathing on their own! And feeding well from your milk well done you!
It is so wild to hear you keep saying "my daughter", how exciting that you get to raise 2 sons and a daughter!! I am over the moon for you and your family on this new chapter of your lives. Keep on pushing through the hard times, you're doing a great job!!!

As someone with several chronic illnesses who probably couldn’t have kids if I wanted to, and who can’t work full time, I greatly appreciate your comment on the praise for working mothers. Life is challenging, for all of us, in different ways. We’re all just doing the best we can and that looks different for everyone.
Tortilla Talk: it’s not a question but I just wanted to say how I’ve noticed you verbally being so kind to yourself. You have said a few times how you needed to set certain boundaries for your mental well-being and have complimented yourself on how freakin’ cool and strong you are. I’m so proud of you even though we’ve never met. 💕 I love seeing others love themselves. xo 🤗
I agree!! It’s wonderful to see her growth and being so kind to herself, she surely deserves it! So do you, so don’t forget to be kind to yourself as well.
tortilla talk question: can you already see distinct differences in the twins appearances that help you tell them apart other than their sex? and are their personalities anything similar to when you were pregnant with them?
I LOVE that the twins could have contact with each other as well, when being held together. That must feel normalizing to them. Sending love and healing to your entire family.
Why do people find drinking human milk weird and gross , when that’s the milk that meant for humans. We drink milk from cows and goats , that’s seriously more disgusting ….
Its so funny and cool to hear Flynn have a full conversation and be a little human. Like we saw him grow up before our eyes and we didn't stop to really appreciate how lucky we are to experience his little life and Colleens life.
8:15 Flynn giving a hug and saying "It's okay" was the most adorable and heartwarming thing I've ever seen aweeeeeeeeee Update: Actually 8:44 Flynn's face when he pops the bags is adorable too awwweeeeee Update 2: Okay 11:02 I have ascended this is literally too much adorableness
Thank you for recognizing us mamas who are “stay at home”, I get a ton of shame for not working ❤️ it’s tough work and I don’t have help other than Daddy and his job is extremely demanding. When my son was in daycare I sobbed everyday because it felt like he didn’t know who I was. I chose to give up my career which in turn helped my husbands job flourish because he could focus more.
Honestly I feel like the relationship of Colleen and us vlog people is such a win-win! We help each other out, it is kind of like therapy for her and we get this real-life experience content. I really appreciate that she vlogs so much after the birth of the twins, but I feel even more at ease that Colleen is absolutely into vlogging by herself knowing she does not need to just to please us, because we support her no matter what! As long as you love vlogging, we love it!
Tortilla talk question: how did flynn feel about you being away and then coming home? How did he react to you telling him that the babies came out? Did you explain to him exactly why you were in the hospital? I'd also like to say that your version of parenting is perfect for you. flynn and the twins think you are perfect. Youre an excellent mother and an amazing person, please be kind to yourself 💚
I think Colleen has vlogged for so long through the pandemic, it’s just something she’s so used to doing and that helps her mentally being able to talk and get all of her feelings out there. I love that her job helps both her and us! We love your vlogs Colleen!
That kiss fight was honestly the cutest thing 😭 Flynn is like nooo dada mamas kisses are only miiine! He is such a sweetie. The way he talks is just so impressive too! He’s such a smart boy!
I appreciate what Colleen says about stat at home moms. It gets so frustrating when people think stay at home moms have it easy because we don’t work. We made this choice because it’s what’s best for our families. In my case I have no help, I’m basically with the kids by myself for majority of the day and it is TOUGH! So thank you Colleen for saying that.
Being a stay at home mom is 100% a full time job and not an easy one! All mamas are awesome but the ones who work jobs besides being a mother are truly working two jobs, not one!! Mama's who stay home are just as amazing and put in SO much work!! I'm not a mama but I used to be a nanny and I know how much work it is taking care of little ones all day! ❤❤ Honestly I think alot of mom's who also work outside the home feel like work is a break from their full time job of being a mom! Sometimes moms just need some adult interaction and a break from their little ones! Stay at home mom's don't get nearly as much of that as mother's who work and spend hours away from home daily! I'm sure it is hard for them being away from their babies/kids while at work but at the same time it's gotta be tough for stay at home mom's who don't get that time away!
Claire Ashley Any of the time you aren’t with your kids, you’re creating a job opportunity (paid or unpaid) for someone else. So that’s an awesome thing if you can find a trustworthy person/community to take on that responsibility as their job. But you don’t have two jobs - you have parental responsibility, as well as a job.
@@joubinha333 Yes, I understand that. My point was, that being a mom is alot of work! No, you don't get paid to do it but it is certainly work whether you are paid for it or not. Was simply agreeing with the OP because many people think stay at home mom's don't work which is absolutely not true! I've been an over full time nanny and I know how much work just that is, and that's not even close to 24/7. Of course it's your responsibility as a parent but that also doesn't mean it isn't work. I have nothing against working mom's either! Absolutely nothing! Working mom's are rockstars and I'm thankful for the ones I've known who have given me awesome work that I truly cherished, my point is just that stay at home mom's are just as big of rockstars as those who have jobs!😊
The psychic was SPOT ON. I remember her saying it would be FAST. And she had an emergency c section and it was minutes from the time she got to the hospital to the time the babies were out. WILD
When Colleen said the women who work and then don’t work after giving birth are also amazing. I felt that . I worked until the day I gave birth and I feel like I never stopped working even though I’ve been a stay at home mom for 6 months now . Not getting income in but happy my son is taken care of by me.
Tortilla talk question: Does Flynn understand that he has two new siblings even though they are not home yet? I can’t wait to see him be the best big brother❤️
Tortilla talk!: When will Flynn be able to meet his siblings? Is he not allowed to right now? Can't wait to see how he reacts to them with his loving and caring personality🥰
Even if we were not in a pandemic, it's unlikely Flynn would be allowed into the NICU. They probably would have been able t bring him to the hospital and let him see them through a window though (if there is one) pre-pandemic.
My best friend had a nicu daughter, her sons were allowed to meet her after the first like 4+ months of her life, there were a lot of hoops to go through before they could meet as a family. So it’s really unlikely that Flynn will be able to meet them before it’s time to come home
When my cousin was in the NICU we were allowed to “see” him, but only through a small window. We weren’t allowed in the room at all. My cousin’s case was a bit more severe, so I don’t know the case with Flynn
Most NICUs, even pre pandemic, don’t let children under about 14 in just because of the amounts of germs and minor illnesses they carry. When my little siblings were in the NICU I could visit as I was 18 but my younger sister couldn’t.
The "'I'm kissing mommy" fight was so precious!! Your sweet little angels are so cute!! You and all the mamas out there are doing incredible!! Love you so much Colleen!! 💜💜xoxo Emma
Hahah as a nurse, the ones who are very relaxed with the way they handle the babies are definitely the more experienced ones. For me I’m way more carful because I’m a new nurse. We all handle them with love and we all do our jobs they are just more used to it 🥰
Colleen, your laughter with Erik and Flynn made my heart so happy. I know the heart breaking separation from your precious babies weighs heavy, but it is so important to find the moments of joy in the midst of pain. It is the only way to get through. Also kudos to the nurse who knows how important it is for mama and her babies to ALL cuddle. Those little one have been cuddle buddies for their entire lives and I can't help but think they need each other.
At first I was thinking, “it’s ok to take a compliment!” But then realized how grateful I was that she said how much helps she gets and also how much she needs this for herself. Im pregnant with a toddler and my husband works full time and I don’t have any help at all. I often feel like a failure - I can’t accomplish things like I used to. I used to do a lot and now I can barely get anything done for me and it’s been really hard. So thank you for saying that, Colleen! You’re still a rockstar ;)
You are too Jamie! Pregnant with a toddler is a 24 hour, 7 day a week job. Be kind to yourself; you might be surprised how much you can do in 15 minutes, even if it's just standing outside, drinking a beverage and breathing air.
Just getting through a pregnancy AND staying home with a little one is A LOT! Even if nothing feels done. It is because your work gets ERASED! Cooking, laundry, basic needs just keep needing to be done. Even bare minimum. You change a diaper, they dirty it. You wipe a face they dirty it. You bathe them and put clean clothes on them, ... You guessed it! THEY DIRTY THEM! 😂 So tidying toys and food shopping and everything else gets UNDONE! Just snuggle the toddler and do not worry about the cobwebs. They grow up SO bloody fast. The cobwebs will be there later I promise! SAHM of 20 yrs to daughters ages 15, 20, 25 & 29 (step daughter). The youngest has always chosen to homeschool. My pregnancies were rough too! Insanely rough so that my OB/GYN begged me not to have more kids bc it could mean my life! If you add in anything like undiagnosed ADHD or helath issues then it is just anazing your are all alive at the end of the day! Good job Jamie keeping humans alive. 😉 hugs from Central Florida!
Eric is the BEST husband, EVER! OMG he's the most supportive and affectionate man I've ever seen. I know it's social media, so things aren't always as they seem, but I feel he's genuinely an awesome man.
I love how Colleen is like "Oh no, I messed up the time of birth!" meanwhile my mom doesn't even know the exact time any of her three children were born, lol
Tortilla Talk Question: How did Flyn react when you came home without the babies? How did you explain it to him? Also when will Flyn meet them? Will he ever go and see them in the NICU? Love you Colleen your amazing!
Tortilla talk question : Will you and Erik be sharing the twins’ names soon, or waiting until after they are able to come home? P.S I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant as a FTM and your videos have been so helpful with showing me what the future could hold for myself, I really appreciate your honesty and courage. You’re a true role model Colleen!
youre so strong. I hope youre doing alright with how gendered the whole process of pregnancy and eventually birthing is. I have two friends who are FTM and have played on women's sports teams and that is tough for them. Babies just need to be loved, they dont care what their parent's gender is.
She is so lucky to have family and friends to help her through her mental and physical state right now. She is so strong and brave. Flynn and her new baby boy and new baby girl are so lucky to have her as a mom and erik is so lucky to have her as his soulmate. We all love her and support her and she really needs to know that.
Tortilla talk question: I know you’ve mentioned the twins will likely be in the NICU for at least a month or so, but what milestones are they wanting to twins to hit before they are able to go home? Can’t wait for your entire little family to be under one roof!!
I don’t know why but for some reason I’ve had the strongest feeling that they would be home by Thanksgiving. I don’t even know if that’s possible but I strongly feel like they will.
NICU nurse here! Typically they want babies to be able to eat and breathe on their own for at least 2 days (Could be different at different hospitals), they want the babies to be able to regulate their own temperatures and be "weaned to a crib", and they also need to make a weight of about 4 pounds in order to be safe in a car seat. Could be different at each hospital though 😊
In my home country there was a tv show about nicu babies and there the kids got to go home if they reached a certain weight, could breath on their own and no longer needed to be in the incubator/sleept in a crib in the hospital. I've also seen video's were the kids needed to pass a car seat test. At least in my country eating by mouth was not a milestone that needed to behit before going home as they can be fed by tube at home.
i’m obviously not answering for her but i feel like he doesn’t completely understand the magnitude of the situation or what it will be like to have baby siblings ! he’s probably just happy his mom is home
The twins so snuggly with the double hold, thinking "oh I'm squished up again, and I can hear that heartbeat, oh it's my mamas heartbeat... I'm home".... much love to you and your family xx
Tortilla talk question: - Can you see similarities between the twins and Flynn? - What features do the twins have in common - Do their personalities still reflect on how they were in your tummy? Love you so so much Colleen, you make me so happy! And to any Mums out there, your incredible ❤
Colleen, sometimes it hurts my heart when you don’t give yourself credit for your strength and positive qualities and accomplishments but instead you give all of the credit to your support people or you feel the need to “defend” or explain yourself. I also have ADHD and I over-explain myself and don’t see/acknowledge my own accomplishments but instead see the “downfalls”. So, while I totally get this mindset, your fans know you have a kind and thoughtful heart and we see all the good you do. We all make mistakes or say things that can be taken the wrong way. But you’re one on the sweetest, most caring, most accepting, and most loving people out there.
Tortilla talk: at sometime I’d love to see Erik’s thoughts on how everything went and how he’s feeling. Love hearing your story and so happy your babies are healthy, I just think most men don’t speak on how they felt during times like this as well. ♥️
It’s so refreshing listening to you - you’re so genuine, real and literally make me and I’m sure most others feel not alone. Thanks for being so vulnerable with the world… It helps keep us all together.
Tortilla talk: Do you know if your mom or any past relatives had very challenging pregnancies similar to yours? I was just curious if it was genetic or more random. Congrats on the sweet babies and prayers that they keep growing big and strong!!🐛🐞
Disclaimer!!: I’m trying to answer for her this is just my opinion from what she has said in the past!!!! Okay so I don’t think Flynn fully understands what’s going on. I think he only knows Colleen has had the babies but they are at the doctors and Colleen and Eric visits the babies often
I can see the light in your eyes for not being pregnant anymore, I know life is hard rn with the babies in the nicu but I have not seen you smile this way in a very long time. I'm so proud of you ❤

I can't wait to hear what the babies names are. I'm so happy for yall. This will all pass you got this girl!!
💕 I love seeing others love themselves. xo 🤗

Ok but the way Erik kindly said "I'll save some for you.. :)" to Flynn was the most gentle compassionate thing in the world
tortilla talk question: can you already see distinct differences in the twins appearances that help you tell them apart other than their sex? and are their personalities anything similar to when you were pregnant with them?
The way Eric looked at Flynn when saying "I'll save you some" was so full of Fatherly pride 🥺
I LOVE that the twins could have contact with each other as well, when being held together. That must feel normalizing to them. Sending love and healing to your entire family.
Erik tries the milk:
Colleen: How is it?
Erik: It's delicious
I died😂
“Can’t let any go to waste!” Slurps on the straw to finish the 5 drops left 🤣😭
Why do people find drinking human milk weird and gross , when that’s the milk that meant for humans. We drink milk from cows and goats , that’s seriously more disgusting ….
Yeaahh... Erik is setting the bar waaayy high for guys out there. I ship those two adorkable crazies.
I’ve tried human milk and it’s delightful.

Its so funny and cool to hear Flynn have a full conversation and be a little human. Like we saw him grow up before our eyes and we didn't stop to really appreciate how lucky we are to experience his little life and Colleens life.

The “I’m kissing mommy” fight was the best thing I’ve seen in years.
Me too
Yes literally so sweet
Cracked me up
IKR! It was so cute though. I love that family so much!!!
It made me laugh so hard! I needed that haha ❤️
Couldn’t have said it better
My exact thoughts! 💜
I agree! She’s so great 💛
That kiss fight was honestly the cutest thing 😭 Flynn is like nooo dada mamas kisses are only miiine! He is such a sweetie. The way he talks is just so impressive too! He’s such a smart boy!
That moment with Flynn and Eric fighting to kiss you made me cry happy tears! That small little moment of happiness for you guys just made me so happy
WILD
Yes it’s truly unreal how right she was about the twins and Flynn too! Makes me want a reading from her haha
Right! Slip n Slide!
When Colleen said the women who work and then don’t work after giving birth are also amazing. I felt that . I worked until the day I gave birth and I feel like I never stopped working even though I’ve been a stay at home mom for 6 months now . Not getting income in but happy my son is taken care of by me.

Tortilla talk!: When will Flynn be able to meet his siblings? Is he not allowed to right now? Can't wait to see how he reacts to them with his loving and caring personality🥰
Yeah most hospitals don’t allow visitors that are children, (unless they’re patients themselves) so the babies will need to be home.
💜💜xoxo Emma
Flynn is going to be such a smart lad when he grows up, I can just tell. what a little superstar!
The twins sleeping against each other on Colleen's chest just about ripped my heart out. What absolute sweeties!

“what’s this say?”

@@spookyfish24 I love that we have this little community where we support Colleen and each other! ♥️
Jamie you’re a rockstar too!! What you are doing is superpowers as well!! You got this !! 💪🏽💓
You are doing amazing mama! Keep on going 😊

youre so strong. I hope youre doing alright with how gendered the whole process of pregnancy and eventually birthing is. I have two friends who are FTM and have played on women's sports teams and that is tough for them. Babies just need to be loved, they dont care what their parent's gender is.

Tortilla talk question: I know you’ve mentioned the twins will likely be in the NICU for at least a month or so, but what milestones are they wanting to twins to hit before they are able to go home? Can’t wait for your entire little family to be under one roof!!
For my twins in the NICU, they had to be able to eat on their own without a feeding tube before going home.
@@caitlinedinger654 that’s good to know thank you!

Honestly, holding both of them together is probably so good for them! It’s been just the three of you since day one for them. So familiar and warm 💕💕💕
