As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results and about well aging, I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

I live in the UK and have yet to find a ZIIP Halo that actually works for more than three or four weeks. In fact, so far I've had no fewer than seven faulty ZIIP Halos! And yet my GX is very reliable. I don't understand. Really, I don't. 🤔

That is really weird. Have you contacted the manufacturer? What did they say?

@@DoctorAnne ZIIP doesn't sell directly to the UK, the only official distributor here is CurrentBody. In all fairness, CurrentBody did reimburse me for the four faulty ones I bought from them. The others I bought on eBay from sellers in the USA. Fortunately, they reimbursed me too. There seems to be a generally accepted manufacturing issue with the ZIIP Halo.

@@DoctorAnneI've used it for 3 months 5 days a week and it hasn't lifted anything. I did have heavy sagging just some slack along the jaw. I haven't seen a change

@@varmi924 No device will be able to do that. This one is to prevent muscle loss and - that I am less sure of - to stimulate collagen, so prevention rather than cure. If you already have heavy sagging, you won‘t be able to change that with a device.

@@varmi924 Ah, I see. Then let me rephrase: I think this is mostly preventative and depending on your face gives a temporary plumping effect. I can‘t say for sure if I would expect longterm effects and it is certainly only an addition to a routine for someone that allready has a good routine, not.a must have.
