The last section, "Quotations from The Power of Silence" (around 1:06:50), contains some of the most profound insights I have ever encountered in the past 40 years of my psycho-spiritual explorations. I read the Castaneda books decades ago, and while they enriched my understanding and ramped up my curiosity over the years, returning to them now is like reading-or listening to them-for the first time. Luis Moreno's narrations are excellent, more than excellent--he is the best book narrator I've ever heard, hands down. I am deeply grateful for his work.

While fasting, I once experienced the speed of perception and my room begun to spin faster and faster out of existence! I had to roll my eyes until the my room slowed down until it rematerialized. I never again tried that.

Your reading aloud brings a new dimension to Castaneda's interpretations of what he experienced, at least for me. I also appreciate some of the commentary by others. Special time.
1:17:54 warriors don't have breakdowns. the value in these books, works of fiction or not, are in Juan's descriptions and practices (e.g., stopping self-talk, erasing personal history, seeing all the acts and views of humanity as folly, practicing controlled folly, etc) not Carlos's stubborn resistance, "rational" commentary and unending remaking his world view every time Juan disassembles it.

I never noticed this before. The cover shows a TECHNIQUE you can learn to do! It's what Carlos himself instructed us to use as our goal, in the last 5 publications he made before he died. I was there in private classes as he read passages and explained. So this book cover is not a fanciful thing, it's an actual technique which becomes available once you move your assemblage point all the way along the outside going down to the bottom, and then rising up in the front to align with the assemblage point of the energy body. Once there, all knowledge that could ever be known to man is available as videos in the sky. You can even enter them, to go back in time. No fooling! No one from the remaining three private class students of carlos want's your money, we just work tirelessly to try to convince people to follow the instructions. Because all of this sorcery works exactly as specified. I've been making videos lately. Follow the rabbit hole if you want to be as powerful as the new seers, in a small community with dozens succeeding for the first time in 50 years. Or keep pretending if you like.

Am I missing something? In the Power of Silence, Carlos is told that Elias has to build a shack around Julian because he was too sick to move. Here they say Elias gave Julian the option to leave with him in the morning.
i took it as, like a doctor would say, you had better stay in bed but if you really have to you can etc etc Maybe Elias meant yeah he could leave with him in the morning but he would die or he can stay & live I cant exactly remember as was a while ago but I have noticed in his books Castaneda is quite good at weaving in inconsistencies here and there and then addressing them somewhere else it is very clever of the author imho

Am I missing something? In the Power of Silence, Carlos is told that Elias has to build a shack around Julian because he was too sick to move. Here they say Elias gave Julian the option to leave with him in the morning.
i took it as, like a doctor would say, you had better stay in bed but if you really have to you can etc etc Maybe Elias meant yeah he could leave with him in the morning but he would die or he can stay & live I cant exactly remember as was a while ago but I have noticed in his books Castaneda is quite good at weaving in inconsistencies here and there and then addressing them somewhere else it is very clever of the author imho

Carlos Castaneda published his books as anthropology, but they are clearly fiction. He has been thoroughly discredited. He lived in Southern California, was a womanizer and used a lot of drugs.
Actually, they haven't been credibly discredited. On the contrary, other Toltec sources have emerged, parallel lineages, and they confirm what Carlos brought to us. Maybe lighten up a bit?@@lilyroza

LOL, I have always thought that Carlos was an idiot. And thank the spirit for that. Imagine what the story would have been like if instead of Carlos it was Elagio. The story would have been one paragraph instead of a dozen books. I believe it was the spirits intent, as a carry over trying to spread the knowledge. you see, The Toltecs were almost wiped out by the Conquistador , and they had to change. They gave up sorcery and found a better goal. Total Freedom. Its my belief that the spirit continues to branch it out, and look at what happened. Its everywhere. Good Job spirit. And weirdly Carlos was a three compartmented luminous cocoon. Its doesn't matter that he didn't make it. he served his purpose. I hope he makes it next time.

Those are great teachings that I thoroughly recommend. But I don't believe a pack of lies, and I know it when I hear it, or in CC's case, read it. Read the aforementioned teachings, don't waste your time on the writings of Carlos Casteneda or Krishnamurti, if you are searching for truth. Carlos Casteneda has been completely discredited
