Ok, wow. I listen to him, Ram and Michael Singer quite often now. I get these lovely glimpses into the Truth but soon enough am lost in the game again… sometimes I get discouraged but after listening to this, I also recognize some very profound if subtle shifts. I.e I am selling this house after my fiancé died last year and I need money for the move so am selling our items… a year ago I would have been a self centered, angry and grieving mess but with each sale Ive somehow enjoyed the interaction and quietly give thanks to item for belonging to our life together. I’m no less sad - this grief is brutal - but I have room for joy, gratitude even peace now.
I’m babbling but really - I’m just not taking this so seriously any more. We will all die and it will be easier if we’ve learned to be kind along the way.

This was SO helpful! I had had an experience of emptiness and the void, and wondered if it was "normal". Now I know it's just an enlightenment experience, one of many that we can experience.

The first time I saw a video of you it was an interview with another gentleman. I have not enjoyed a video that much in so long I really can’t remember you have a brand new fan… Now having paid you the ultimate compliment, I only have one little request Part of the enjoyment of the video was watching you talk, I know that sounds odd but I’ve done some of your for your second video I’m watching and it’s just a picture and it’s like a voice ripple across the screen and I missing looking at you as you speak. There may be a reason why You do it this way, but if it’s not a reason of importance doing your videos in person are just so much nicer… Lol,… I just had to share that with you, and to tell you that the first video I watched took me from a depression to the calmest I had been in days and we have some Buddhist monasteries here in upper New York State and now I am going to go and try to check them out to see what they have to offer… Thank you for being you.

Wow! I wasn't sure but now that you describe it, I think that's definitely happening. It's so strange because I found myself in a state of just being grateful. Quite often in fact. And that's not necessarily something I'd set out to do, but things like that are coming naturally now. Thank you!

Peace Pilgrim once commented that just because a person reaches inner peace "dying to self" in one lifetime, doesn't mean that its all over, but rather the next life will offer different lessons and one may or may not reach the same level for that life time. I'm paraphrasing of course. I don't remember her exact words. I wonder if thats what Jack means about different kinds of enlightenment?
Does anyone know the name of the opening music for this video? It's really beautiful.

    • @felice9907

Guys realize like see things not to say your blind. However after a short time studying Buddhism. Maybe because of the ceremonies. I just think I am a Buddhist bfor rest of my life and embrace the evolution. Remember this earth has 6billion people on it or something like that. Somehow only 45 comments and so ask yourself our we the disciples of a modern era. Also why doesn't your kind not see your transformation if any that is a sign your on the path. If your being hated it is like crap in your face. So you what image is embedded if your are serious about this journey. Many are called to sex but few don't smack God in the heavens.

There's a saying, for those who know, no explanation is necessary, for those who don't, no explanation is possible.

Mate, the whole idea that enlightenment is some ultimate goal is such a red herring. It haunts spiritual communities, so funny (so human) The yogi way is to be free of desire, including the desire for enlightenment. We all experience moments of it: subtle, gentle connected and free, hiding in plain sight 🙏🏼

*This is a clickbait title.* I think it was formulated that way in order to attract listeners who then think that this might be some hard core material of the kind Daniel Ingram puts out. Instead one gets a one hour sermon dripping with whining tones and idiotic political correctness _(not a single ciritical remark about Wiesel ?)_ . There's nothing in here we haven't known for 50 years of spreading buddhism in the west, and the only news to me was that Maha Ghosananda was one of his teachers. I consciously suffered through this in order to finally pound into myself what I had already understood years ago, namely that Kornfield's generation is hopelessly stuck, in an alternative senility you might say, and that I just can't stand listening to these sentimental hippies anymore. In fact, I find that style disgusting and delusional. For instance: did he succumb to the rona-shot-propaganda and allow himself to be poisoned ? I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he may have been complicit by example _(just like the Dalai Lama)_ in what I hold to be one of the greatest crimes in human history, just to be a virtue signalling do-gooder _seemingly_ in line with, but really starkly contradicting this very talk !
