Rest in Peace to Sam. I'm sorry for your loss. He'll be proud to know you're keeping the great thing going. Well done David.
Sorry for your loss David. Rest in peace Sam.
Another great video, Rip Sam 💔
Meg looks great ❤ Sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. He'll have taught you a lot over the years that can be passed on. I'm with you on the selling ewes hoggs. They'd be dearer in the back end as so many are cashing in. It will be hard to get quality stock so you'll be well placed. I thought we had rain but you guys just have taken all ours. Best of luck with the start of lambing. Wish I had your grass.
Happy St Patrick's Day to you and your lovely family, Sue & Ben (Woodhall Spa) xx
Rest in peace Sam, a great character that will be greatly missed, sorry for your loss David
We knew Sam well and as you said he was a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss
Rest In Peace Sam so sorry for your loss.
Thank you 👌
Look into turning the wool into a mulch for gardeners, I have a feeling this could be a big thing coming in. Lots of gardeners are choosing wool. I'll be going for it myself.
With the current price of wool being so poor, I am sure many home gardeners would happily buy it and pay more than the current market price. And the bonus to selling to gardeners the wool doesn't have to be in the best condition and can have muck and mud on it without being docked in price
Condolences to you on your loss, may he watch over your flock from above.here's to a successful lambing.great content once again..
Gran did a lovely job of knitting those jumpers. I love knitting fair isle sweaters, but it is too expensive and not practical to use wool here for children’s sweaters. Lovely to see the new shed coming along.Happy Mother’s Day to your lovely wife. You have a beautiful family. Condolences on your Uncle Sam. ☹️❤️
Thank you Linda 🤗
May the soal of your Uncle Sam through the mercy of God rest in peace.🙏

Thank you Gary 👌
Good stuff
Sincere Condolences on the passing of your uncle Sam. It's a real loss to the sheep industry as well the passing of that generation of sheep men and women and with them their knowledge of sheep husbandry. I hope fond memories of Sam and his sheep wisdom, bring you comfort.
Regarding keeping sheep when the prices are high, you're in a bit of a sweet spot with purebred sheep as the demand for your stock is year round, I think you are making sound decisions.
Let Spot go to a pet home and invest in a well-trained dog from a reputable border collie breeder/trainer and take some lessons from him/her with the dog, you'll be years ahead of the game.
Good video David sorry to hear about your uncles passing take care 👍
Thank you Paul 👍
Didn’t know Sam was a relation of yours I remember him in Killeshandra on the wee milk lorry and the shop he was some character 🤣 loved the trotting horses too
Nice to see to see robey he looks fit
The puppy doing well as I said a few weeks ago she would
The white sisters, great 1. RIP Sam.all the best for lambing 24.
Thank you, Sam had some great sayings..
As another gran who knits woolly jumpers, I have been there and had Lleyn wool spun. It made a very hard, heavy, coarse yarn only suited to Aran. I got a nice yarn by crossing with the Romney pleasant to knit with and wear. Still not a patch on Merino. Hope the lambing goes well.
PS. I forgot to say, you have a beautiful wife. I don’t blame her for being camera shy, I hide behind a camera taking photos, a good excuse not to be in the pictures.
Lovely looking ewe lambs alright, im hoping you're wrong about the demand for hoggets later in the year though as im going to be heading to Roscommon myself for some llyens 😂. I think you made the right decision with the planer type ram lambs ,hard to turn down the money on offer at the moment. Well done on all the work your doing, im relatively new to sheep farming and have picked up lots of tips from your videos 👍
Thank you Keith. Glad you find videos useful...
See you in Roscommon 👌
Trade was very decent this time last season David and assumed exactly what you’re expecting in that they will be scarce come September but was disappointing, well got decent money but was still less than kill price and 6 months extra keep and shearing, so will have 90 going in next 10 days. If you’re averaging 500 a head for rams well there’s no debate what to do there. I used to do fair amount of sheds but a lot were involved with grants and wasn’t C.E marked so don’t do so much, are you able to supply C.E mark David.
Cracking video as always. R I P Sam
You could be right for breeding hoggets price later as stock of lambs been killed will drain the market for later ,, hopefully prices will be good back end of summer
Condolences David. My question is, are your breeding rams SIS registered? Regards Stephen
Hi Stephen, not SiS registered yet but I intend to register quite a few of them..
Get him (Noah)
before he catches the bug 🐑 🐏 😁 🤣
Sorry.hear about sam r i p.good sheep man best luch lambing
Sell more them less rams let in backend i think
I'd say that weather is more to do with the chemtrails left in the sky from those planes spraying rather than being bibicle.
Tough on little lambs at the minute..
Aha please don't kill those lovely lambs.. make lovely ewes for breeding
The money is very tempting at the minute... hopefully will still have most of them in August/September for sale.
We say every year hoggetts will be dear. Their wont be any farmers looking for hoggetts this year because a lot of farmers are cutting down or getting out all together. Take your Money now and put it in your pocket
The dog doesn't seem to have the push u wanted
Sorry for your loss
