    I made a feeder with the parts i got from your shop..saved alot of time with the triplet lambs..I made the feeder box bigger so the bucket of milk fits inside also..very pleased with it

      Hi Thomas. Good to hear it is working well for you 👌
      Did you insulate your box?
      I should have made my box bigger to allow for better insulation...

    • @tomzeedee
      @tomzeedee 3 месяца назад

      @sheepschool365 no David. I didn't even think of insulation..I got the same aquarium heater as your video but even at max,the water drum is only warm..the milk coming out is tepid at best..they have a choice of teats but only use the one coming through the coil..I only half filled the drum and lay it on its side..they are healthy and happy..I don't miss bottles..👍😊

    I've found the only thing to save them with mastitis is Synulux. A good 4/5ml depending on size of ewe for about 3 days. Used to loss ewes before using it but not now.

    I’m a maternity nurse and am curious about sheep treatment for mastitis and wonder if some of these moms can be saved and have future success with future babies with treatment as we do with our mothers. When a mom develops mastitis we try to empty the breasts as soon as possible by feeding baby then we pump while often applying warm moist heat. We feel for lumps and try to express past them until they are soft. We also make sure they feed often like every 2 hours around the clock and if baby isn’t emptying the breast we pump until it is. Meanwhile we treat mom with antibiotics and rest with lots of hydration. I realize it mAy be too much more work but maybe should you have a special momma you may give it a try for research sake??? Let me know if that’s been tried before please. I love watching y’all!
