The added benefit of these videos...if something goes kafflooey and you aren't around, your guys can pull up a video and, voila! I am constantly amazed at your skills. Loved the drone work of the farm!!!
Andy, what a beautiful operation you & your family run. You’re kids are lucky to have such a hard working dad & you’re teaching them well. Stay healthy …
That drone footage really shows how much feed it takes on your farm to keep cows healthy and full! Andy it appears you got some help that drives by feel. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Just love to see the day to day things that you go through just to keep the cows fed .Its a great distraction from all the junk on here now. great drone footage !
Hi Andy ! Beautiful project by your father and brother that big floor .Thanks for the beautiful image that drone dose for you and sharing that whit us . Thanks Andy for your time and have a good day everybody at the farm !
Great video as always 👍 Thank you Andy for sharing. The farm has really gone through some major expansions over the years. Glad to see the corn is about to get some attention 😊 Hope that northern land dried out plenty. It seems that black Circle of Disappointment (FORD) has given you a great year of service. God Bless the Farm and Family.
Thanks for the drone video that’s a great setup gives me a better idea what your operation looks like! You must be very proud of your operation and I know there’s a lot of blood sweat and tears and especially TIME and money of course! Thanks again
Good video and funny to hear the questions and complaints. I guess you are new to your operation and need some helpful advice to get on the right track 😮. Thank you, take care and good luck with the rest of the harvest.
Great video Andy, always interesting to watch the mechanical changes required between grass and corn. Always amazing to visualise 10 or 12 rows of corn being forced through a 1mm gap and see the volume of forage that comes out the shoot .
Back when we farmed we had a small dairy farm shipped are milk in milk cans had a silo but not for corn maybe had 40 head 2or 3 hundred acres .So your choppers and other equipment is new to me we ran 8 and 9 ns sickle-bar mover
I’ve watched your content off and on and always enjoyed it. It’s amazing to see the scale of your dairy operation. I never knew how much agriculture work (farming, fixing and fabricating) went into growing the feed to support a dairy farm. I wish I lived in the part of the country to buy your farms products. Pretty amazing and impressive work you, your family and crew do from a non farmer.
Hi Andy, there are many types of concrete. I guess it depends on the cement you use. Here in Europe CEM 1 (Portlandcement) is the highest quality, strongest and most expensive it's used for concrete beams and such. Then there is CEM 2 which has additions of slag (from a steel mill)i and /or flyass (waste product) mixed into it. Then there is CEM 3 which has even more of that stuff mixed into it. So that's less strong and cheaper but still perfect for floors and such
The pad looks great! A local operation (in VA) used to make precast bunker walls, idk if they still do, because they found out they can make more $ in the Highway barriers, or Jersey walls. To a dairyman, Jersey Wall has a different meaning. 😂👍👍
They sure don't give you much room to work in there I enjoy your videos very much. Enjoy seeing the farm life. Thank you for what you and your family do.
If you look back, pull starting the drum, when it is about half way wound down you can hear the rpms of the noise and drum are identical. Maybe a very little pulley vibration. Thanks for letting us know another good video
Are you going to any live streams of corn silage if you do? I love watching all of them and being here to see them. Thanks so much for taking the time. Good luck with corn silage.❤❤
I didn't fully know exactly how big your dairy operation was until this drone shot jeez thats quite the amazing operation!! How many cows do you guys milk?
Title reminds me of the Blues Brother movie when they were in the bar talking to the bartender. She said "We have both kinds of music here, Country & Western"
I think by fixing the grease line you fixed the problem. On the origi al video in the shop about the problem, i noticed the squeek matched the timimng of the revolutions of the cutterhead. I could see the revolutions by the dust on the cutter drive pully.
Doesnt matter how many times you do this its still interesting on the process of changing it over to corn. Just wondering how long it takes to change over?
Love your videos, great aerial view of your farm. That is a huge concrete pad you are building, does that have rebar in the whole pad or just in front of the pad? Looked like your aerial view showed rebar just in front.
I have a 2020 450 with the 6.7 diesel and towing I’m only getting 12.5 mpg average. Heck the 7.3 is looking pretty good for our next truck as it’s much cheaper to maintain and gas costs less.
CLEANING plates and saddles ..... GROOVY idear !! i worked for boss that decided " thats too much work , we'll loosen and just bang knives ahead and retighten".... GEHL 1260 ........ CARNAGE !! clean and TORK indeed !! 😊😊
My '22 F250 with a 6.2 usual farm running around not towing averages 13.4 mpg and get this: 11.9 in "Eco mode". Lol. Saving the planet. Just makes it "doggie" at lower speeds.Same rpm at highway speed.
Andy you doing a good job could you show opening up a field when chopping corn I would like to see how that longer spout does over top of the truck and I understand if you don't I know how it is to open up a field
I love your show,1 question can you run a wire wheel on the knives off or on,I live in West virginia and I wish I could work on your farm, but I'm a off road dump truck driver, so I'll just catch ya on the next one.
The 2 types of concrete are wet and dry. How thick is the concrete for the new pad? Just curious. I love listening to your stories and watching you work.
Just the ease and convenience of changing over that kernel processor ought to sell thousands more choppers!! CIH, Deutz,, Fendt, Toro, Weedeater, Milwaukee,...Old Hickory, Old Timer,...Schrade, Gillette, fingernail clippers,...no end to the business that thing could promote! Used to be, John Deere made things that were fairly easy to service or repair. It makes me wonder, A LOT!! I betcha there's better golfers on staff than there is guys that can catch and milk a cow! I gotta admit, once ya' get 'em together proper, they run pretty good though!
Mailboxes will get you every time LOL. How many yards of concrete in that pad? Sure a boatload of ready-mix trucks lined up. Wishing you, your family, and help smooth sailing in the corn chopping effort.
I was waiting to hear the story when you got back about how an elephant caught the side of the chopper before running into the shed and hitting it and the planter 😉 You've got to be careful of those moving poles and jumping mailboxes.
Good jo. Is there steel mesh in all the pad or just at the front where the heavy traffic will be? does the concrete require any additive for the corrosive nature of the silage?
I would love to see the finances from this operation. Boggles the mind. I pray this is cash, not just trying to stay a step ahead of the bank. :( I know the price of milk......
I'm surprised you don't have an incident every week with the number of employees that work there. If you can laugh about those boo-boos,you are an awesome boss.
Thanks Andy for sharing y’all’s farming operations and the drone really shows us what a great operation y’all have!!!!
Enjoy the drone footage of the concrete pour. Really enjoyed the truck stories. Thank you for sharing, Andy.
The added benefit of these videos...if something goes kafflooey and you aren't around, your guys can pull up a video and, voila! I am constantly amazed at your skills. Loved the drone work of the farm!!!
It’s pretty amazing how your family operation has grown in the years since I have started to watch your videos...Thanks for the video Andy
Andy, what a beautiful operation you & your family run. You’re kids are lucky to have such a hard working dad & you’re teaching them well. Stay healthy …
Good stories Andy. I guess you don't have to be a hunter to have a deer story. Great drone footage and other content!
Andy, your voice sounds like Adam Carola (Mr. Birchum). I am a city slicker enjoying and learning where my food comes from. Thanks !!
I’ve been told that before
@@FarmingFixingFabricatinglol 😂

Andy your videos are so interesting on what all you guys have to do to keep your operation going 24 - 7 cant wait for your next video Keep them coming
Thanks for the drone tour of the new feed storage, and the other buildings in the process.
Just love to see the day to day things that you go through just to keep the cows fed .Its a great distraction from all the junk on here now. great drone footage !
Thank you for walk thru on chopper change over Our JD chopper didn’t have processor

Great video.Andy.. The concrete represents growth. Your Family has amazing operation. Glad you are filling bunks full.
Great to see u expanding the farm with another bunk Andy and great story about the pickup truck

If you don’t take the time to listen to “Andy stories” you are missing a lot! Humor, sarcasm and story telling!

Great video Andy, always interesting to watch the mechanical changes required between grass and corn. Always amazing to visualise 10 or 12 rows of corn being forced through a 1mm gap and see the volume of forage that comes out the shoot .

Sounds like my Dad's farm. 2-300 acres sounds pretty big but I guess Dad always looked for neighbors fields to harvest.
Fields and a wood lot we logged off of a maple grove for sugaring@@thewayidoit8895

Extremely impressive dairy farm you have there! Thank you for feeding America! Great video!!!!
Very clever with the harvester having its own hoist! Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Thanks for sharing
Andy you and family have beautiful farm.
I didn't fully know exactly how big your dairy operation was until this drone shot jeez thats quite the amazing operation!! How many cows do you guys milk?
You mentioned about the bearing in the clutch for cutter head and my first thought would be it would not turn engaged but would spin when disengaged.
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊😊
Thanks for your time and consideration Andy top job top team awesome 😎😅 🚜🚛🚜🚛🚜🚛🇬🇧🇺🇲🙏
Man I didn't realize your operation was as big as it is! Must be milking a bunch of cows to go through that much feed! Keep up the good work.
Great video Andy📹👍Will you need another load of cut tyres for the new bunk?🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘
Thanks for the farm footage. You have a beautiful farm.
Andy, you might be able to get a "ready sleeve" for the oil seal.
They have been chopping here in central Iowa for a couple weeks but we haven't had rain since July to speak of.
Wow! Just south of you Tri-state area Illinois Missouri Iowa we got rain in August 1 part I believe.
The drone shots of your campus were awesome! It's a massive place. Very cool.
Raising beef cattle in Florida Andy we don't know what a chopper is unless it's a Florida dairy.😁😁
Thank you Andy.
Title reminds me of the Blues Brother movie when they were in the bar talking to the bartender. She said "We have both kinds of music here, Country & Western"

Enjoyed watching the video Andy 😊

I wished we had that problem mid Midwest. Excess Feed. But we’re much better shaped than what we would’ve been and we not gotten rain in July.
Damn! Thought you were pouring a floor for a new and bigger shop. Oh well, very important to keep the critters fed and happy!
Sweet drone show Andy! Rock on
Interesting to see those fuel specs from the Ford's & about the accidents, lies are always (bad) the lesser choice.
I think the whit struck is not a good on gas because the dents mean it is less aerodynamic. 😆 Great video as always Andy thanks for sharing

Would you say feed is the biggest expense running the farm?
Well they make it, so the biggest expense is probably equipment and diesel.
I'm surprised you don't have an incident every week with the number of employees that work there.
If you can laugh about those boo-boos,you are an awesome boss.
You guys run a VERY CLEAN
operation . Just a huge farm !
Yep. I have 7.3 in my work truck, same mileage. It will get better after 10,000 miles,, a little better not much
Concrete that has cracked and concrete that hasn't cracked yet.
Andy did the same guy hit the ‘deer’ hit the pole at napa and is he still employed with you as always awesome videos keep them coming
Great video once again. Are all brands like the Deere in that you have to change that heavy piece?
Say LOL Andy, it would have collected dust in the shed anyway
Nice footage Andy. Farm looks great. Is that your mom out mowing?
My hearing is terrible + I dont care. I figure I've saved millions not having to chase noises.......👍
Who ever mows the grass lays down some nice straight stripes.Did you ever think your farm would be this big and still growing.
Andy the farmer. Should have been Andy the investigator? 🕵️♀️
Will you eventually square that bunk corner off so it’s not on the angle like it is for ease of packing/feeding out?
Good luck with the corn chopping, hope the drum bearing stays happy 🙏
Hey Andy do you own the barns and silos in the back ground of were your pouring the pad
That looks like a laser screed
wow...great drone footage...how thick is the new slab?
you have a lot of things to remember Andy wow
Any crooked politicians find their way into that concrete Andy?
Good video and drone footage showing the farm take up half of NC State.
Ever thought of investing in a sand blaster for cleaning your smaller Steele parts
