  • Producing top quality pedigree and commercial stock on a regular basis is no easy feat, however Cumbrian-based breeder David Knowles is able to achieve just that by relying on the productive and efficient traits of the Lleyn breed.
Home to a flock of 400 ewes, all sheep on Cragg Farm have something to do with a Lleyn. Whether it’s selling pedigree Lleyn females at the Autumn Society Sales or by producing top quality cross-bred commercial Lleyn females, David has built a reputable flock and customer base for his stock.
Using a Texel on some of the farm’s Lleyn Mules also produces great cross-bred prime lambs, as well as another breeding female to sell on.
Cragg Farm will have forward some Lleyn Mules at our new Online Society Sale at the end of the month. For more information, please visit our website and go to our 'Online Sale' page.
