Guild Wars 2 Some events in this game are bad maybe. Like we don't need that many people in the smallest hallway inside a ship on land. Epic boss fight.

Hey look who's back! No worries, the "i gotta do this event to progress the story because is inside the green circle" thing has happened to me and pretty sure it's happened to everyone else too lol. And you just met the strongest, most resilient gate in the entire game; a lot of bases in the game would have been saved if Tyrians asked Admiral Taidha the number of the person who built that door xD
Lol that flash bang 😆! I find a little more bearable with less visual clutter, like setting to visible only party player names... As for core mastery points, beside those you commune around core maps, you have some really easy ones in fractals (like doing /emotes at the right time). The others are for playing season 2, complete ALL achievements of season 2, some achievements in the Silverwastes and for Triple Trouble Wurm world boss, so you can find all of them in the achievement panel (you can apply a filter to see only the core mastery related achievements in there)
Try to remember, there were no mounts before Path of Fire, so approach story things like you don't have a mount to better figure them out.

FYI you only got silver on that meta because instead of throwing bombs and killing other pirates, you were running around on your raptor. ;)

No, living world season 1 and 2 don't give mastery points. It's not until Heart of Thorns and afterwards that they were introduced.
aren't there story tied achievements that reward masteries?

I guess I'll have to focus on achievements then
