Health & Medicine on Khan Academy: No organ quite symbolizes love like the heart. One reason may be that your heart helps you live, by moving ~5 liters (1.3 gallons) of blood through almost 100,000 kilometers (62,000 miles) of blood vessels every single minute! It has to do this all day, everyday, without ever taking a vacation! Now that is true love. Learn about how the heart works, how blood flows through the heart, where the blood goes after it leaves the heart, and what your heart is doing when it makes the sound “Lub Dub.”

The units for WBC count is actually cells/uL (microliter) not mL.
hi medcram!how to interpret blood test result of hepatitis b patient to know if he rquires treatment or not or virus is active or not harming him?
This mistake was discussed on KhanAcademy site
The WBC count should be cells/microliter(not milliliter)
thanks for useful video. Can i repost your video with translation in my language in my blog, so it can help a lot of Medical students in my country- VietNam?
What happened, I am curious to know?
Wbc units must be cells per microliter not per ml as shown
CORRECTION
CREATININE GOES AT BOTTOM not TOP (in chem 10 fish diagram)
I remember it like this - all the big values goes on top
I just have one question ... Do we have to know to draw this or what ?
how I can wright the electrolytes report by the formula
emg test is not available in market
Thank you I think we can shall may vphv understand the importance and meaning of laboratory values and change few limits like haemoglobin at least on times of pandemic and encourage people to follow more strict and natural diet to increase our reserves to fight the Strong and deadly infections, I think we can shall may vphv prevent these by adopting a more natural model or Nature Cure who provide values that involve more immunity for long term rather than short term benefits.........................
Soooo, in the range column is that based on an average range for males or females?
you did not explain about those diagram which you have drawn.
You switched BUN & Creatinine
My supervisor does this at his other job. He's a lab technician with a 4-yr degree in Emergency Medical Philosophy. That's what they call it in the city I work in: Emergency Medical Philosophy, even though we do interns and hands-on training. Philosophy is theory if you ask me.

i nee ur help sir, MY BIOCHEMISTARY REPORT ALT IS 54 THIS NORMAL .?
+Renjith Nair ALT is a mainly liver enzyme, 7-56 is generally normal. However lower is more normal, depends on alcohol use (raises the ALT&AST), and other drug use. Doesn't matter anyways, because lab values mean little to nothing if there are no other symptoms or health issues.
But in some LABs the don't give HCO3's result why?
iam suffering from chemical poisoning since 9 years it is hard than fullarene and diamond which test is useful
What is units of creatinine
mg/ dl
This is very helpful
Sir one doubt wbc 2100 only for me sir that is normal or not
That's a little low. Make sure you go out in the sun regularly, eat fruits and cooked vegetables, exercise, sleep 7-9 hours a night, and drink 8-12 glasses of water a day. Hopefully it will help raise your WBC level.
My lymphocytes 48%....ei normal hai
Units of haemoglobin are wrong
I can't understand the diagram
it doesn't help one memorise the normal ranges

You can also interpret your lab results @ www.healthmatters.io
thanks, what I'm looking for is something that would tell me how the average American performs on their blood tests. Based on the blood test results of my last physical exam, my doctor told me I am in the top 3% of people health-wise for my age. I'm looking for something that would formalize that, where someone would look at the blood test results of all Americans and analyze where each person's results places them health-wise. Any idea whether that exists and how I'd find it?
Are you left handed?
My sgpt shows range of 16-63 range whereas yours is 35..I have 39 count of sgpt..I'm confused ..do I fall in healthy range or is it high
.some doctors say above 29 is really high for men
