Thank you so much doctor ! Just obtained my blood test result and after watching your videos clear my doubts. These videos are really helpful. Once again, thank you so much !
Great video Dr Joel. You communicate in a very down to earth and enthusiastic way. So many medical videos are some old guy with a monotone voice and bad microphone reading off a script. Keep it up!
Very good video dr.joe ive liked your video just a slight addition- eosinophilia can be be very evidently present in asthmatic patients. Not mentioned in the eosinophilia part in the video.
This is great 👍🏽. I’m not going through med school but this is really informative in understanding what full blood count results actually are and what I as a patient am being tested for. Love it. Thanks💉
Thank you so much I got curious when they sent me a lab slip to go get tested. It showed - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (10231) - CBC diff plat - ANA (Antinuclear Antibody with reflex titer (249) - Sjogrens Antibodies SSA, SSB (7832)
What is the meaning of reverse differential ? choices is A. neutrophil higher than lymphocyte B. eosinophil higher than basophil C. monocyte higher than lymphocyte D. basophil higher than monocyte
I have had AiC and Lipid tests in the past. I just read that a chemistry panel and complete blood count (CBC) test is reasonably priced test. Could I perhaps replace my AiC and Lipid tests with a chemistry panel and complete blood count (CBC) test for a lower cost? Note: I have type 2 diabetes and I'm 81 years old.
hi!! my mom really loves your teaching, so helpful and easy to understand! is there any way you can send me or her the power point you used for this? She wants to be able to study it offline too
Thank you for this insightful video. I am the father of a 10 year old who they are trying to diagnose. In May they thought she had Steven's Johnson Syndrome then they were calling it DRESS syndrome and now she is back in the hospital in September for the 3rd time and they say it is an unknown Immunological Disorder similar to Lupas. I am trying to learn what I can so that I can understand a little better what the doctors are talking about when they explain these test results... It looks like her neutrophylia and lymphocytopenia. She has been on steroids since May and gets sick again when they decrease the dosage.
17 what ? U can compare that 17 with the normal value of lymphocytes in the result paper. If it is higher than the normal value, you should go to see the doctor.
I am a 5th year medical student and i always enjoy watching your videos...
