Excellent bike to darkside. Heavy, lots of torque, and equipped from the factory with a huge rear tire so handling with a car tire won't take a lot of getting used to (not that there is a ton of difference...mainly a little more effort to initiate lean).
Couldn't agree more! I'm on a few Rocket 3 forums on facebook and this exact tire is very commonly used 🤟 i can definitely see why!! It'll be hard going back to a regular motorcycle tire 😅
Great DIY video mate! I had DS on my Fat Bob and a C109R Boulevard. Good decision to make except be wary on uneven roads as the flat tread tends to follow the slope but it’s all good apart from that 👍
Ran Riken Raptor darkside on an '06 Rocket. Hated it for 30k miles. Great mileage for the price, handled like crap on uneven pavement, always felt like I was leaning left on crowned roads. Had to cut the tire off just like you did. Won't go there on my '13 Rocket Roadster.
I'm definitely excited to see how this tire handles in the turns! If it even turns at all 😂 it'll either be an excellent video, or possibly my last video 💀

Always wanted to do this since I got mine in 2015… the time has come!

Awesome job! Waiting for the next one with bated breath. You have really gotten my attention with this Rocket 3 project! ✌🏾
Thank you for tuning in! 😁 this is one of the wildest projects I've featured on the channel! Very excited to keep making Rocket 3 content 🤟
Poppie & Nonnie killing it with balancing bead wiations and tearing that tire off🤘
They're hired!!! Honorary mechanics in the NicePantsLance garage if you ask me 😁

Cant wait to see the 1st ride! Your assistant rocks!
She's the best mechanic assistant in the NicePantsLance garage!! 🤘
I am thinking of putting Michelin Defender 215/60/16 i hope it fits, those like 100K rated
Looks sick with that fat tire! Cant wait to see how it rides!
I'm very excited to show how this bike handles with that car tire on the back! 🤘
What brand jack you used to jack up the motorcycle?
Good decision, especially with the price of rubber these days 🍻
Those 240 section rear tires are almost $300 a piece and i go through them almost once a year! 💀 this car tire is like $70 😅
Saving a lot of money with a car tire that lasts a lot longer, makes sense for lots of straight roads and almost no cornering.
