Needs much higher torque, a larger wheel and wayyyy better centering of the platform. The cd will eventually become lopsided and even minor imbalances will make it very hard to work with. Read up on motors and other basics on torque, current etc.

I bought a new windshield wiper motor, online, that has crazy torque. I haven't coupled it to a platter yet but I'm certain it will be strong enough for throwing. It was about $20.

@@Wonderland_Homestead If you google "Windshield wiper motor" you'll almost surely get a link to a motor offered by CarParts.com for a Dodge D150. That isn't the exact same motor I have (which is for a Mercedes Benz) but works just as well for use as a pottery wheel motor.
Strong enough for mini size wheel or standard size?
@@isabellabinion313 Strong enough for one or two pounds of clay, which is about all the clay I ever throw. Another consideration is RPM. A wiper motor turns a tad slow at 12V. You'd probably want to feed it something like 16V to get a more comfortable throwing speed. While that's a higher voltage than it sees in its day job, it's not enough to impact its useful life. They are pretty robust motors that are conservatively designed.

I dont have that big big mini motor what if i use mini fan i will disassembled those propeller and make it a stand the only thing is i think it will turn very fast 😅😅☹️☹️
If jugad is what we doin here try spinning mop, it rotates at apt speed😂😂
Actually I tried the mini fan and I discovered that mini fan wont rotate fast if there’s no propeller in there’s another problem when I tried to touch it while rotating its stop and doesn’t rotate anymore i think my mini fan got busted already
