The music bring this deep rooted nostalgia and love for the game which I spent my early to late teens playing. Funny how music can do that. Every kid is always so fond of their first MMO.
same. this was my first MMO felt inlove with it. Just hearing the music brings those memories back. i felt deep nostalgia and sadness all at the same time.
I played PWI from like 2008-2014, I still have it loaded on my comp stll has Elysium logo. I stopped when they took away gold drop from mobs and I couldn't repair my gear but never uninstalled. Tried Aion, then ArcheAge.
Man the biggest mmo rpg story i ever experienced was when i first started playing pw I didn't understand the game at all and was just wandering around, and as i started the game as a tiger dude i kinda got lost and left the starting location at lvl 2 or so, and i wondered into some village in the middle of a cursed forest, and that was it, i was stuck there, with no way to teleport back since i didn't have any item's and game knowledge, and every mob in the location was like 80+ and very agressive, i couldn't leave that village, until some random stranger found my corpse and promised me that he will get me out of there, and get me out he did, he was killing mobs around me as we moved back towards my starting location and after about 10 minutes i was back where i needed to be and kind stranger bid me good luck
As a 12+ year veteran of this game I'm glad some people still get as nostalgic as I do when they remember the game in the early years. Players who can spend the time and money to reach end game, which is way too much, keep this game alive. If people didn't purchase gear, fashion, or items with real money this game would be dead in the water. The grind is unreal starting from scratch.
Broo I remember back in 2010 you had to grind for 50 quest items and that meant killing at least 200 mobs or more. Then I came back after 2 new races were introduced and they increased the drop rate of quest items to 1 kill 1 item
good to know, my 11 year old self was totally enamored and humbled at earning everything from scratch lmao no game cards from GameStop were coming my way because my moms didn't get the concept of digital giftcards lmaooo
Man, this takes me back. I played this in 2008 when I was just in high school and I spent so many years playing this. It was so fun for so long. Thanks for the memories!
Omg. That old log in screen. I remember my first time seeing this on my cousin's computer when i was about 7. Everything in PW felt real, I can't even express how beautiful and unique it felt. 😢
Oh my, just hearing the OST made me tear up a bit. This was my life early to late teens and met so many good people some I'm still friends with up to this point and some lost along the way. I miss everyone. it's amazing how this game brought so many people around the world together back in the day.
SO true bro - These old days, grind and go dungeon together. Sometimes I felt terrible just logged in my characters in Beast Town and listen the musics.
I really wish there was a way for a new publisher to completely re-release the game, with a fresh new start, without a horrible Item Mall, and possibly restoring the game as it was long time ago. Especially that beautiful old login screen
I just want it to feel like it use to I want to play a game not shop at Amazon for all my gear you use to be able to actually get what you wanted by just grinding in game nows it's a cluster f@#@*
There is a new version kind of what you’re asking for coming soon. Called Perfect New World and isn’t too far off releasing (recently had another CBT). The game will go back to 3 classes like PWI used to have and looks great from the trailer, you should check it out
the closest thing that you can get to this is probably evolved perfect world, it's a private server but the playerbase loves it, the devs really seem to care about the game and the community.
This brought back so many memories for me. I remember the grind, the territory wars. The real friendships I made through this game. It's sad that there's no going back to that and no other game I've played since even comes close to those feelings.
Played this around late 2007. It's way ahead of its time and since most of the online players on my country does not have their own comp or, if they have, has low specs ( even the comp shops has only descent comp specs so they don't download this game in favor of other games ), only a few players were able to play this. This is one of the games that is totally free to play. Wherein even if you don't pay a dime you can still catch up to strong players. You just need a lot of luck with drops and grinding patience. Miss this game so much!
God I loved that game... I played for 6 years straight and I love listening to the soundtrack to this day. I spent most of my time editing my characters with the .ini files and being a pocket cleric. I remember most of my days were spent leveling people in FC and soloing their dungeons for them. BTW the mystic is a mix of cleric/veno. Psychic is a glass cannon magic damage class. Met lots of people that I became friends with irl
Thank you for visiting our server, I remember seeing you around. I think it's so fun that people still care about our little game, a game which I have been playing since the very start and still love. I know it's not very likely but it would be nice to see you continue playing it, I'm happy every time I see a new player. I want to add though, I believe the reason you found it hard to talk to anyone and finding help is because we have gotten used to new players, or players pretending to be new players, that just ask for help and never offer friendship in return. In my own experience most just talk to you when they need help and usually not to just chat and hang out. There are exceptions which is why I still help from time to time and even find new friends still. I would like to see a rebirth of this game with a lot more new players, and old players returning. This is the genre of games I love the most and newer ones just don't do it for me. BTW, did you find the HD models of some of the classes? They are slowly revamping the characters and some have gotten the option to have a new HD model instead of the original one, this is something I expect all classes will eventually get. For example Barbarian and Venomancer will be getting it in a few hours as I am writing this. Great video and I hope your channel grows, you did a good job on this one giving the game a chance to show what it is like, listing both good and bad things about it ^^
Thank you so much! I had alot of fun while playing PWI so I might continue playing, who knows 😀 I did not notice the new models but I'm very happy that the game still receives updates 🙂
I played PWI back in 2010/2011...as a tide born assassin🤗💖 Oldschool games like EverQuest II, Runes of M-Tr-agic, LOTRO, Aion, Villagers& Heroes, R.o.s.h.: Eternal vengance... will always have a place in my heart. Perfect *New* World looks way to hectic to me, so I will give this old comrade of mine (PWI) another try to become my side-game, when I am too tired or sick for my main game FF14 🤒
I started playing PWI in 2009 then played off and on until 2015. I left for 2 reasons. The people were very nasty, vindictive, beyond rude and that included the GMs. It was also a money pit, real money. One person told me he had spent $15,000 in real dollars to max out his gear. Everything was very expensive. To be sure you paid the devs eliminated many ways to gain coin. An example of this were mirage stones. They were worth 10,000 coins each and then they went to 1 coin each without any warning. So that huge stack of mirage you had saved as your coin fund suddenly became worthless. They advertised the game as "free to play" and that was true but to get anywhere in game, it was definitely "pay to get anywhere".
What do you mean? That loop was introduced back in 2011 IIRC and it was soooooo calming. Perfect World, back in the first 4-5 years, was actually like another life. I loved it!
Was thinking about downloading it again to check out everything and man..The music really made me close my eyes and just hum along to it. Its crazy how it's been years and I still remember the music note for note. I've played since the only characters were the classic untamed, elves, and humans. This game used to be PACKED with ppl doing all lvl quests at all times, every dungeon, bounty hunter mission, area of the map had a player doing something. The chat was always rolling, there was always a new guild being made every day. Ugh I miss the simple times
Man this game was the bomb as a kid. I started back in 08 when my uncle and dad showed me and eventually my uncle giving me his account(I think it had like a level 30 wizard lmao) since I grew so fond over the game and he simply didnt have time as my dad was the one who introduced it to him in the first place because they used to go hardcore in OG everquest together but I guess this game didn't have the same appeal as he quit shortly after my uncle. I probably played this game off and on for a good 10-11 years with the last few years being on private servers due to the game ramping up its Pay-to-win gacha system to appeal to the new investing team a few year prior to ARC becoming the priority owner and once that happened its all went down hill from there, if you didn't spend 1,000-2,000 dollars a month you were easily cast aside to the thousand or so "Cashshop Whales" that dominated every servers PK spots and dominated Territorial war creating a Power Vacuum that monopolized peoples addiction to FOMO when it came to the new best items and gambling from opening promotional crates or boxes from the cash shop(Think of CSGO crates and keys) that had such a slim chance to give you the top tier item out of them players would often shell out 500+ dollars every few weeks just to get a "Ultra Rare" Mount or "Token" For a neat looking reskinned Weapon that will count your PK kills but you can only get it for 48 Hours while supply lasts! It was a really brutal system, I knew guys over seas that had their girlfriends/moms send them laptops and headsets and have them ship over prepaid cards every month just to gamble in a F2P MMORPG.
This game is huge in Brazil, but people plays mainly in old school private servers. There is one now that is called Perfect World History and it has more than 10k active players, they sponsor a lot of youtubers, which made people go crazy and a lot of old players gave it a try. it is really nice to see people in every location you go and join groups for every quest you need, just like when we were younger.
Thank you for much for this! I have for so long been trying to find a PW server with active players. I only speak English but I’ll give this server a try! Thank you!
@@angelvasquez3991 at the beginning of your journey go for the daily quests, they give you a ton of xp, itens and money, it is really easy to level up, then join a guild and ask people to help you grind to the lvl 100 and farm your set/weapon, it is really easy to find english speakers here
@@HeadBangerWoW this server is amazing, so alive! The owners created a discord community so you can easily talk to them to solve problems or doubts and even negotiate chars with other players
PWI was my main mmo for a couple of years as well. I appreciate that you had your research done and gave it some time in your video. P.S. I still miss fly with me in the perfect world song...:(
I didn't think anyone else was gonna say anything about it. The lyrics and singing didn't really match the subtle and relaxing instrumental but together it was amazing
As a 12+ years veteran of this game, I can tell anyone that your assessment of it is fairly accurate. A lot of the grind is taken out over the years, but it's still expanding, and more classes will get added. Too bad you didn't play it further, the extra continents are really a sight to behold. With the Western Continent having roaming NPC's, the Northern Realm being a cross-server map, and you didn't mention Nation Wars, of which there is a serverwide one, and a cross-server one. But still, of what you showed in this video, yep, fairly accurate.
This brought back memories Most good Some not so good Server I was on was mostly u need to be endgame to do these dungeons, how to endgame, spend a thousand rl money on specific things By the time I left I was 103 rebirthed to 103, and rebirth again to 103 Stormbringer, cus it's literally the fun class But that's about it, from getting to the second map, primal gives you arcane sky, and primal sky You then get astralsky which lets you go into the second map at astral 10 You then need to get shifting sky 10 to continue the cultivation and be 103, 100-101 can take a week or two 101-102, a month, 102-103 log in every day, play nothing but this, 5 months, 4 if you get lucky with exp items in heaven fall After shifting sky, you get twilight sky, here's the grind, a month to get twilight sky 1, to upgrade to twilight sky 2, a month And you need to max it out to get royal sky I stopped playing when some of the top no lifers had twilight sky 8
I miss this back in 2009 This was By far one the best games out there next to the likes of any thing you can think of. Things have changed and not for the better.
I have mmorpg games in my life since 99 starting with Tibia Online. Perfect World is the best game in the world to me since 2007 PWI. I really need to be honest.... Perfect World Mobile is the best experience to me about PvP and PvE.
I played it from 2006 to 2018 and just by hearing the theme I get goosebumps, it's an amazing game and I still have friends from when I played. If you're a classic pwi fan I'd recommend playing on a private server which I believe is better for nostalgic reasons
Game was insane back in the day just to get to lvl 50 was months. You had to pay people or ask to do zen to reach like 75 then frost until 100 with hyper crystals or whatever they were called. Then I switched to Epic PW and couldnt play PWI anymore because everything was way easier and different and more pvp and events and just fun
Perfect World is one of the grosses p2w games I've played, when you played in a pvp server. Back in the late 2000s, there was a weapon that would cost up to $20k to get. These companies are greedy af. I also remember being stupid and spending over $500 for a phoenix on my venomancer.
Yea he says he didn't see anything P2W in the shop...Must have had his eyes closed I guess. On my old server back in the day there was a guy who spent well into 6 figures decking out his whole clan for TW to get everyone rank 9 gear lol. It is definitely one of the most greedy p2w games ever created.
This was my childhood mmo back in 2009(this channel I'm commenting with has some older videos!). Dreamweaver and mained Archer. Played on and off, met some friends I miss dearly and wonder how they are since I quit for good in 2014. I have the heavier version of the main theme as my ringtone! good memories man
Was a glorious couple years back in the day, chronicdose the cleric and always made sure I had max red name since I had all my gear bound. The world pvp, territory wars were great memories and one of the only mmos Ive mained where community and reputation mattered.
Brooo I remember playing this game in high school back in 2009 I met sooo many awesome people and the game was so full of life back then, it was amazing. Downloading it now to get back into it. I remember I used to be in the equinox faction and the territory wars were awesome.
The music at 1:57 actually gives me more chill than the original one, maybe because I used to discover the game at idk 10/11 yo back in 2010 and it was that one, this game was so good damn
gosh when that music started playing my heart dropped, i miss the game so much , ive played it since pwi released and "quit" 1-2 years ago. about the only game i actually get emotional over. really miss the old days of pvp in silverpool with like 3-4 guilds going at it
my good friends and i tried to play perfect world during covid, we are all VERY experienced whn it comes to videogames and min/maxing in MMO or RPG games. but we all stopped playing when when we did our first dungeon/raid (i dont remember honestly). we were around level 38 and we were making our way through the dungeon, killing the marked bosses, and pushing through the mobs, but when we finally beat the final boss and went to get our loot, we noticed something horrible. as we picked up the loot, it was ending up in each others inventories randomly (and all the gear was bind on pick up) we basically left the game immediately after playing for a good 28 hours.
there is a setting where loots can be picked randomly or not, it is to avoide slackers so whoever picks the loots the party will get randomly but you can change the option, so when you pick the loot you own it sorry for bad english im korean
Hearing him say "perfect world isn't Pay to win" is the most insane thing I ever heard. This game spawned every controversial predatory practice in gaming. There is accounts of people getting a 2nd mortgage so they could get gear. This was my first mmo when I was 14 and I watched as every patch came in making it more and more predatory. It was horrible.
this brought up so much memories.. i have the same character but a healer.. and those time the grind is real and managed to reach a good high level.. one of the most epic guild war i have experienced seeing those 400 people and scrambling the war map is insane and most probably the best team plays you can do.. teaming for farm and boss fights was the real deal.. one of the grindiest game ever.. used to grind 24/7 and for a week getting only 15% xp.. yep i still remember that..
I've never played this and probably never will, but this is a solid video. You made it interesting to watch. Please, keep making these kinds of videos. As always, fun and cool. 🤙
I swear i never played any other MMO afte PWI .. this game was the pinnacle of how MMO games can feel like home, the community was so nice and friendly all the time and the dungeons were just massive. the game visuals and music are forever embedded in my memory as my safe placee to go to Love you all PWI veterans
The music of PW is honestly one of the most powerful nostalgic forces on this entire planet. It doesn't matter where I am, what I am doing or how I am feeling, I hear it and it instantly takes me back to a time full of mystery, wonder, exploration, Tideborn, and very neat people. A Simpler time. I remember back in the day when the game was still very much "new" and had that fresh-out-of-china feel to it, with half-done translations, orphaned game assets from the original version in china, and coding errors galore. It was such a fascinating adventure and I always feel the draw to go back just to see it all again, even though I know I can never truly go back. Nostalgia is a special kind of pain.
Oh my god menn, everytime i am hearing those soundtracks of every maps/cities just hit different especially the log in theme "Fly with me". This mmo is my all time favorite, it holds a especial place here in my heart. Really missing the good old days bro.
As someone who suffered from the worst part of the game 4 or 5 years ago, I have to clarify something that you missed. PWI IS pay to win. When you entered the shop, you only saw the mounts and fashion, but didnt see the Rank gear supplies. Pretty much all end game gear requires real money (or years of farming, literally). And endgame events, or dungeons requires these kind of gear, because people that does buy it, are too overpowered for regular gear. Also, leveling up that endgame gear requires real money too, or as I said before, years of playing and farming ingame coins. Basically, to try the end game stuff, that usually is the only things that get updates, you have to pay, and is not just some bucks. Ive heard of people spending over 60000 dollars to lvl up one character to the max power the game has. Its so unbalanced, that free to play players like me, and my entire friend-base just left, because the game wouldnt allow us to play the new things. I spent farming 3 years for an end game ring. 1 update later, that endgame ring can be upgraded spending more money, or spending other 3 years of free farming. I loved this game back in 2010-2013, but its just unplayable now, and its sad to me.
I don't really know the PWI but the official PWBR is pretty much the same. It always been pay to win tbh, nowdays is 'cheaper'(end game once was literally almost 100k, now you could do with less then 5k). That said, you could farm the endgame once, not the case anymore. Lastly once you hit a plateau (rank8~9 farming, lvl 100 reborn 2) you will still be way far from the 'late game' in terms of grinding the things you can and the dailies will kill you
I’m still playing this game, but I'm in Evolved PW now. As an F2W player, I've already reached the end-game gear. This game died many years ago due to P2W mechanics. The initial two years were big and very enjoyable; you had to farm everything, and the best part was the large number of people grinding. However, after the developers shifted the game towards P2W, whale donators began to dominate. It's as if they can eliminate you in just a snap 🫰. It's too sad! This game still holds a lot of potential. Even in other countries, people are still playing it until now!
That old log-in screen BGM and the world map gave me a powerful sense of nostalgia. I went into this game shortly after quitting MapleStory once they released the Big Bang update and I played it a lot with my father, who made a pure(?) barbarian while I had a pure(?) blademaster with a spear build. The nostalgia isn't nearly as powerful as old MapleStory but just seeing all of these areas again was so cool. I can still fondly remember getting my flying sword mount and just cruising around to see everything, finding myself in an area where mobs were level 80+ and looking forward to the day I'd get to fight those. You'd also have to be careful not to fly into a patch of flying mobs or flying too low to the water only for something to shoot magic at you. You just don't get that sense of adventure and motivation with MMORPGs these days, it seems.
i just watched this and found so entertaining went to the channel and it was last updated a year ago why did you abandon the channel bro PLEASE COME BACK
This game was so fucking good until like 2011 or so, when they started introducing those pixies and whatnot. Still, at the time I had no idea I'd never be able to find any other MMO in this style that would be equal or better in gameplay. To be clear there are several MMOs like that in China, but nothing in the West right now. This sort of relaxing and colorful aesthetic seems to be something the Chinese like to put in their games. Really wish I knew Chinese.
7:45 Ohh I remember Take Aim. I made a choice to never level that skill. Not because it was bad, but because it was actually more useful/spammable at base level, because of the low mana cost. The trick was that you can double tap that button to release the shot instantly, which would only deal auto-attack damage, but do so instantly, alongside you actual auto-attacks, and generate a lot of chi in the process. This was back when mana management was very improtant, since it was one of the many basic things the game tried to monetize through p2w consumables.
I recently went back to playing perfect world after years of being away from it and I’m loving it again. Still have my old account but have made a new character as well with the Wildwalker class that didn’t exist last time I played and really fell in love with the game again. I’m already level 100 and have rebirthed twice.
Wait a couple of months to realize why you left it in the first place and then never playing it again. People that still play this game are just stuck in the past and don't want to move forward because they know how boring their life truly is when they don't play pwi. Honestly the best advice coming from a person like me who has played and left the game more than 5 times, it's better to just let it go and move on. It's all the nostalgia feeling that made you love it but yoy will then soon realise that's its a game that should have been dead before the er and tech class came out.
Hey, I noticed your comment ....I played pw for 5 years and stopped playing in 2008. Do you think my account is still there? 🤔 I'm wanting to come back and see the new changes.
I was looking for first impression videos about this game because I see it Everywhere when I try to download games and found very informational and boring vids but I like yours the most because I laughed a lot! you are so funny!! may I ask why you dont like auto path?
I also remember playing this way back in the day when the Midlands was the only world map. I had both the Elf cleric and archer for characters, and I remember that cleric build could more or less fly forever since the build would recharge mp which the elf flying ability used gradually at the time.
I was playing this game in my high school. I still remember how quests could take hours to finish so good luck if your net disconnects on you mid quest. Lol! But man the experience and friends I met along the way was really memorable.
One of my best memories was from the Genesis expansion, when I started playing, being level 49 and having 8 other players clearing the mobs in the Volcanic Grotto instance. I fell in love with the Seeker class and his Glacial Strike ability visuals then. :D I love this game to bits, but I have much better time playing on private servers nowadays from time to time.
I lost almost 5 years of my life to this game back in the day, they were glorious years (level 100 Warrior) The game was FULL of people. Even in the most obscure areas of the map I was sure to find a curious new player looking to chat and hang out, while we grinded our youth away. The PVP oursite Archi gates was extreeeeme. A spectator sport that used to draw huge crowds, who would stand on the city gates for HOURS - watching the melee are rooting for their favorite elite level players. What a game, and what a time!! Damn... the nostalgia pangs are strong.
Awesome video!! i played this one back in 2010 i believe, it was the best MMORPG my laptop could handle, so many hours of fun those days, the music was EPIC 😍 so much nostalgia
When I was a kid I remember spending hours exploring the map. I remember there was a merchant in thousand streams that sold lvl 80? axes that looked really cool
Nostalgia, rushing home to play with my guildmates, just standing around with our fashion, carrying the female characters. Being absolutely amazed by the mounts and the way they looked, how fast they were and how cool it was to look at people do pvp in front of the gates of archosaur. To get help from higher leveled players in your guild that could craft cool looking legendaries for you. I remember my guild working together, collecting resources and coins to upgrade the guild. Has perfect world always been pay to win? In a way.. yes, not sure how this is not mentioned but the currency used in shop can be exchanged for in game coin, vice versa. But back in the day i feel this wasn't a big problem.. or it wasn't made into a problem, simply because so many enjoyed every single lvl up to max lvl. Back in the day i never reached end game, i've probably played this game for multiple years and the highest i've gotten was maybe lvl 80. But this was one of the charms, lvling up, grinding, everything you do felt good cause of how "slow" (in comparison to now) the lvling was, so every upgrade you got, was an actual upgrade for quite some time. This is also why there was no rush to get to end game, so many people were just happy logging in, playing the game. It's i feel one of the things that games lack nowadays. What a shame to see the graphics are exactly the same, what a shame to see how fast the lvling is. Anyone imagine what this game could be if they with the time updated their graphics, combat system? I redownloaded this game 1-2 years ago, i got a hold of my old account info, logged back in and looked at all my mounts, my fashion, ran through the big cities, ofcourse to be dissapointed to see how empty they were, literally. Logged back out and deleted the game. This will forever and always be in my childhood memories! Thank you perfect world!
Damn jeez that music took me back id forgotten how much of my life i put into this game and also apparently forgot the tune i whistle so often comes from this game!!! Kinda epic to see it still kicking also!
Great video, this game was basicly my life in my late teens, its very sad that i dont know what all my friends are doing now, we didnt have much of any social media to follow eachother on, so they are just gone now
From what I remember enemies won’t attack you if you are over their level. Also good to see no pay to win gear in the cash shop, that is why I quit a long time ago. I remember grinding for maybe 2 years to get maxed out and about the time I did they put rank 9 gear in the cash shop that made you a god and crazy xp scrolls that would max your level in hours when it took me years to do.
OMG this is so nostalgic, I played it once I was around 12-13 creating the abominations with maximum on every sliders and get everyone attentions with my siblings, very fun and one of the goofiest moments in my life
I have so many good memories in this game...I miss going online just to wait for FC. Not a single game up till this point had me form friendships that extended to real life.
I remember when I started playing pw Br server when I’ve just moved to Danmark, I truly liked that game until they changed so couldn’t play outside the country, I felt nostalgic and decided to find recent gameplays of it and I’m truly disappointed of what it became, I remember in br after 5 years of the server someone had finally got max lvl and was a big event to the hole server, the hole community celebrated, it really felt it was a cultivation world where you had to grind and socialize to reach the peak, now doesn’t sees like that anymore.
What got me into this game was the soundtrack and relaxing atmosphere. Although the game was veeeery hard and punishing. It was pleasant to spend some time on.
I remember using my mom’s and dad’s accounts in PW when I was around 3-6 yrs old. I just click random stuff and luckily my mom told me that I didn’t erased anything and that I always fight high lvl enemies and such and spamming in public chat
I remember when it first came out. What caught me was the song and the character I was a untame race a wolf dude just roaming the land and man it was fun. When it first came out it had the instrument playing but yeah it changes dramatically characters gone and have to start new. Heard they made Pw2 was out. But man.... The faces lol
I keep getting these shorts of these out of this world beautiful Chinese girls. one was wearing cat ears, another was wearing a tideborn head dress and it made me super nostalgic for this game. I played for years and dumped thousands of dollars in my character, mounts, wings, clothes. The music and original opening screen made me miss the game even more. The game in its prime was beautiful, laggy, had great events and was an amazing way to make friends. I used to sometimes just ride my mount around the map or fly around listening to music just enjoying the game. The game is calling me back 😂
Ive always had a thing for flying too. But back when I was younger, like 12-13 years old young, I got my first Laptop.. a really cheap one from my mother, and I tried to download some MMOs with flying such as Fly For Fun but no MMOs would download on my PC because with the knowledge I have now, it probably wasn't even a Intel 3 and probably much lower. She said she only spent around $100 for it. So I tried downloading FreeRealms since the pixies had wings but the game was extremely laggy on my PC and later got shut down. So finally I was forced on Wizard and Pirate 101 until I was like 16 and got my first Ps3 and ditched my crappy PC and started playing Gta5 like any other kid who wants a fun open world game with other player's. xD
Oh. My. Godness. The old theme music was the very best ❤️ By the way, according to the double jump, you had to use it to complete some quest, because at the beginning of the old game you cannot fly until the target level when you will able to fly. Only the cleric and archer was able to fly in the eary game. I have to download the game
Remember playing this game way back it was first released, and I played this for straight 4 years, ( yah that long) now it’s 2023 and I’m back to pc gaming, looking forward to play this again, missed that territory war
17:59 I also remember how exciting it was to join a party because my level was the lowest and when our tank died we all ran away from the density of elite monsters whose health bars were completely different haha, We all died within 2-5 hits 😂
i had been playing this game for like 8 years, then i quit. i never found the same experience in other MMORPG game, im back today, and i feel like a teenager again, but with my old game friends this time, which ones lives in diferent places al over the world, we had been in contact all this years and we made an strong but distance friendship
Of every MMORPG I have played in history since 2005, Perfect World in its prime is the one experience I wish I could feel again.
Same...
Lineage2, no More words
Completely agreed.
@@LaceUpBrah it was amazing!
You didn't play Silkroad.
The music bring this deep rooted nostalgia and love for the game which I spent my early to late teens playing. Funny how music can do that. Every kid is always so fond of their first MMO.
I agree 100%! That's why I was so upset that the starting zone did not have any music, because that's the first thing a new player sees
Yup, it actually makes me teary-eyed...
same. this was my first MMO felt inlove with it. Just hearing the music brings those memories back. i felt deep nostalgia and sadness all at the same time.
yuh
I played PWI from like 2008-2014, I still have it loaded on my comp stll has Elysium logo. I stopped when they took away gold drop from mobs and I couldn't repair my gear but never uninstalled. Tried Aion, then ArcheAge.
Man the biggest mmo rpg story i ever experienced was when i first started playing pw
I didn't understand the game at all and was just wandering around, and as i started the game as a tiger dude i kinda got lost and left the starting location at lvl 2 or so, and i wondered into some village in the middle of a cursed forest, and that was it, i was stuck there, with no way to teleport back since i didn't have any item's and game knowledge, and every mob in the location was like 80+ and very agressive, i couldn't leave that village, until some random stranger found my corpse and promised me that he will get me out of there, and get me out he did, he was killing mobs around me as we moved back towards my starting location and after about 10 minutes i was back where i needed to be and kind stranger bid me good luck
this is so wholesome! I've had similar experiences as well with this game
Pay2win sucks either way
Oh the nostalgia...
Honestly wonder if my account is still there lol
good to know, my 11 year old self was totally enamored and humbled at earning everything from scratch lmao
no game cards from GameStop were coming my way because my moms didn't get the concept of digital giftcards lmaooo
OMG i got emotional too... this game lives in my heart forever
SO true bro - These old days, grind and go dungeon together. Sometimes I felt terrible just logged in my characters in Beast Town and listen the musics.
How can I forget this pwi? It was literally like my first love. Sadly I quit bc of a huge quarrel with my in-game husband😅
Check out "perfect new world"
yuh
I really wish there was a way for a new publisher to completely re-release the game, with a fresh new start, without a horrible Item Mall, and possibly restoring the game as it was long time ago. Especially that beautiful old login screen
I just want it to feel like it use to I want to play a game not shop at Amazon for all my gear you use to be able to actually get what you wanted by just grinding in game nows it's a cluster f@#@*
yuh
WTS FC Heads 800k 😂
Aww
How do i join your guy's server?
@@smol1211 Join Dawnglory and you will be on our server :)
@@AkinaLOL Hope you don't mind me asking, but do you still play there?
I played PWI back in 2010/2011...as a tide born assassin🤗💖
Oldschool games like EverQuest II, Runes of M-Tr-agic, LOTRO, Aion, Villagers& Heroes, R.o.s.h.: Eternal vengance... will always have a place in my heart. Perfect *New* World looks way to hectic to me, so I will give this old comrade of mine (PWI) another try to become my side-game, when I am too tired or sick for my main game FF14 🤒
Got fond memories of the game, the vibes of other MMOs are just incomparable.
Also...
FLY WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! IN THE PERFECT WORLD!
Thank you!
@@angelvasquez3991 at the beginning of your journey go for the daily quests, they give you a ton of xp, itens and money, it is really easy to level up, then join a guild and ask people to help you grind to the lvl 100 and farm your set/weapon, it is really easy to find english speakers here
@@GustavoSantos-rv1om that’s fantastic, thank you for much for the info and for the help! I am downloading the game now!
I have tried a few private PW servers and I have to say - for the true old-school PW experience the only way is private servers... 😅
@@MedicatedGaming was fine for me.
This brought back memories
Most good
Some not so good
Server I was on was mostly u need to be endgame to do these dungeons, how to endgame, spend a thousand rl money on specific things
By the time I left
I was 103 rebirthed to 103, and rebirth again to 103
Stormbringer, cus it's literally the fun class
But that's about it, from getting to the second map, primal gives you arcane sky, and primal sky
You then get astralsky which lets you go into the second map at astral 10
You then need to get shifting sky 10 to continue the cultivation and be 103, 100-101 can take a week or two
101-102, a month, 102-103 log in every day, play nothing but this, 5 months, 4 if you get lucky with exp items in heaven fall
After shifting sky, you get twilight sky, here's the grind, a month to get twilight sky 1, to upgrade to twilight sky 2, a month
And you need to max it out to get royal sky
I stopped playing when some of the top no lifers had twilight sky 8
Best mmorpg i ever play the ost and music alway in my heart, from 2007 bring too much memories with my old friends and my old guild,i'm old now 😢
Game was insane back in the day just to get to lvl 50 was months.
The music at 1:57 actually gives me more chill than the original one, maybe because I used to discover the game at idk 10/11 yo back in 2010 and it was that one, this game was so good damn
gosh when that music started playing my heart dropped, i miss the game so much , ive played it since pwi released and "quit" 1-2 years ago. about the only game i actually get emotional over. really miss the old days of pvp in silverpool with like 3-4 guilds going at it
The way you presented the game we have some much nostalgia for, it is incredible, I love it , keep going this way
my good friends and i tried to play perfect world during covid, we are all VERY experienced whn it comes to videogames and min/maxing in MMO or RPG games. but we all stopped playing when when we did our first dungeon/raid (i dont remember honestly).
we were around level 38 and we were making our way through the dungeon, killing the marked bosses, and pushing through the mobs, but when we finally beat the final boss and went to get our loot, we noticed something horrible. as we picked up the loot, it was ending up in each others inventories randomly (and all the gear was bind on pick up)
we basically left the game immediately after playing for a good 28 hours.
there is a setting where loots can be picked randomly or not, it is to avoide slackers so whoever picks the loots the party will get randomly but you can change the option, so when you pick the loot you own it sorry for bad english im korean
Old pwi def slapped different
The music took me back to my childhood
Used to play as an Archer .Had so much fun
Hearing him say "perfect world isn't Pay to win" is the most insane thing I ever heard. This game spawned every controversial predatory practice in gaming. There is accounts of people getting a 2nd mortgage so they could get gear. This was my first mmo when I was 14 and I watched as every patch came in making it more and more predatory. It was horrible.
The city of plume is so nostalgic for a cleric main like me! Miss the game.
I agree, city of plume has the best music in the game. You should totally try playing PWI again, for the nostalgia trip 😁
The character creation part made me laugh so hard 🤣 Thank you for the video! I loved this game when I was in high school!
Games like this will grow ur channel for sure! There is a pretty niche community for these types of games and they dont get much coverage.
Thank you! I will try to cover as much MMOs as I can :)
this brought up so much memories.. i have the same character but a healer.. and those time the grind is real and managed to reach a good high level.. one of the most epic guild war i have experienced seeing those 400 people and scrambling the war map is insane and most probably the best team plays you can do.. teaming for farm and boss fights was the real deal.. one of the grindiest game ever.. used to grind 24/7 and for a week getting only 15% xp.. yep i still remember that..
I've never played this and probably never will, but this is a solid video. You made it interesting to watch. Please, keep making these kinds of videos.
As always, fun and cool. 🤙
I swear i never played any other MMO afte PWI .. this game was the pinnacle of how MMO games can feel like home, the community was so nice and friendly all the time and the dungeons were just massive.
the game visuals and music are forever embedded in my memory as my safe placee to go to
Love you all PWI veterans
FF14 is waaaaaay better and the community is the absolute best on Earth.
Facts
This makes me sad, i wanted to get back into it to..
Were you talking about the official release of the game or private servers?
Glad to hear it! To be honest - the game is still really fun so I feel the same way! 😁
Man, the old theme music login, made me goosebump. Ah the good old days. Whoever made that music should go to heaven
So much memories, I joined perfect world in 2008, being a kid I had no idea what I was doing but I enjoyed many weekend nights playing
I lost almost 5 years of my life to this game back in the day, they were glorious years (level 100 Warrior)
The game was FULL of people.
I'm going to get back into this and probably play it until perfect new world comes out. I got hit in the feels with nostalgia.
Really good video bro. I felt like i took a time machine down into the memory lane.
Thank you perfect world!
wow this comment in itself took me all the way back! thanks for this
Damn jeez that music took me back id forgotten how much of my life i put into this game and also apparently forgot the tune i whistle so often comes from this game!!!
Yea, I quit for the same reason. It was an awkward time for PWI 😅
That's only surface level 😂 it's got way worse.😅
@@Holyknoble its like that for all of their games sadly
Just remembered about this game, great to see this still alive
This brings back so many memories of grinding warsong over and over again
thank you for that video. I played the game 10-11 years ago and it was amazing experience .. nostalgia hit me hard here.
OMG this is so nostalgic, I played it once I was around 12-13 creating the abominations with maximum on every sliders and get everyone attentions with my siblings, very fun and one of the goofiest moments in my life
great video, dude.. brought me to a nostaligic trip
I have so many good memories in this game...I miss going online just to wait for FC. Not a single game up till this point had me form friendships that extended to real life.
as soon as the ost plays i get a hit of serotonin
I remember when I started playing pw Br server when I’ve just moved to Danmark, I truly liked that game until they changed so couldn’t play outside the country, I felt nostalgic and decided to find recent gameplays of it and I’m truly disappointed of what it became, I remember in br after 5 years of the server someone had finally got max lvl and was a big event to the hole server, the hole community celebrated, it really felt it was a cultivation world where you had to grind and socialize to reach the peak, now doesn’t sees like that anymore.
that music man, that goddamn music....
That music in the intro omg you bring me back 15 years ago
Man, this game set the bar for mmos. The musiccccc
Hey man your content is great, I hope you come back and make more videos like this one, you’re really talented. All the best ❤
Damn, this must be good..
and it was.
P.S. That super mario jump bit was golden.
Fk doors right? 🤣
What got me into this game was the soundtrack and relaxing atmosphere. Although the game was veeeery hard and punishing. It was pleasant to spend some time on.
Man, I recall being at dungeons entrance with dozens of players offering help to do the cultive quests for xp
My first mmo, loved this game, even though the p2w was just insane.
I remember using my mom’s and dad’s accounts in PW when I was around 3-6 yrs old. I just click random stuff and luckily my mom told me that I didn’t erased anything and that I always fight high lvl enemies and such and spamming in public chat
Tide born music still hits and so Archosaur!😭😭😭💕💕💕💕 oh my goooosh
I remember when it first came out. What caught me was the song and the character I was a untame race a wolf dude just roaming the land and man it was fun. When it first came out it had the instrument playing but yeah it changes dramatically characters gone and have to start new. Heard they made Pw2 was out. But man.... The faces lol
going to play perfect world void
So finally I was forced on Wizard and Pirate 101 until I was like 16 and got my first Ps3 and ditched my crappy PC and started playing Gta5 like any other kid who wants a fun open world game with other player's. xD
Oh. My. Godness. The old theme music was the very best ❤️
By the way, according to the double jump, you had to use it to complete some quest, because at the beginning of the old game you cannot fly until the target level when you will able to fly.
Only the cleric and archer was able to fly in the eary game.
I have to download the game
Remember playing this game way back it was first released, and I played this for straight 4 years, ( yah that long) now it’s 2023 and I’m back to pc gaming, looking forward to play this again, missed that territory war
Holy Nostalgia waaaoo man Nice video its 1 of my 1 Mmorpg i loved so much this game
I get emotional just listening to the Archosaur theme... damn i miss PWI so much =(
Freaking love the music this game was my first ever PC game so spent 3-4 years on this game in my teen years man the nostalgia.
Oh man, the nostalgia in that old school title screen. You should visit again for a TW or open pvp. Lost City use to get crazy outside of west Arch.
Played this before a single expansion. Made it to lvl 102 before Anni packs any of that crap
Honestly the body sliders alone are enough for me to install this game just to play with them lol
I say go for it! 😃
17:59 I also remember how exciting it was to join a party because my level was the lowest and when our tank died we all ran away from the density of elite monsters whose health bars were completely different haha, We all died within 2-5 hits 😂
I was there to begin with, the game is all about how big you cc is
i had been playing this game for like 8 years, then i quit. i never found the same experience in other MMORPG game, im back today, and i feel like a teenager again, but with my old game friends this time, which ones lives in diferent places al over the world, we had been in contact all this years and we made an strong but distance friendship
