That whole project was crazy within a year time one town is made. The stairs were my favorite part of the project. They'll definitely be there forever walked on by thousands
I always rip a 30° angle on the bottom of my riser forms, so you can get your trowel all the way in to the corner and it doesn’t leave that 1.5” mark when you strip the riser out. Saves some time and work on the finishing when you need to work quickly to get the riser faces rubbed out and the treads finished nicely.
It does work great I actually just poured some stairs today with the angle ripped on. the board. I work for a decent sized company so sometimes I pour in formwork I didn't set up.Thanks for the great information!
@@thatjuanshow4485 but look bro. All my videos had one hundred to 1600 views, u know how that goes a year later they have twice that or 125k. I enjoy your videos. It was cool seeing u get to have fun again and be creative doing them steps. Keep posting u never know right? It's still a hobby for me and I do it for fun and support. I still would like to talk on stream. I had major winter depression last time and I'm glad we didn't do it. It doesn't have to be soon. Good morning Juan, just want to say thanks and you guys are good! I have used those edgers, mostly on commercial jobs, here they call them safety edgers. They are tuff to use. There was a part when you guys were taking off forms and rubbing out the risers and was the concrete that creamy or did you have some cement mixed up for parging? Happy for you that you have a good solid crew to work with. That makes a big difference especially doing concrete! We have relatives over there and they seem to love it. Love your attitude. Have a great day! Peace
The mud here is so boney we use parging mud sometimes. On average, we use a 2500 mix which is very boney. And over where we were is super windy so it dries the surface so fast. They call it magic mud I think it definitely has its place over here as a finishing aid
@@thatjuanshow4485Never seen that used do you guys ever add retarder to the mix? Here in Northern California when it's 100+ degrees we add retarder which will give us extra time before it sets up
Shout out grump. I think he asked that cuz all we saw were slabs for a while. Steps like that make u feel good about your work. If I had 2 more of me GRUBB MUDD would be set 😂
Good morning, just checking in to see if your company will be helping on Maui? I wanted to challenge RUclips to get some of the bigger concrete Chanels together for when they are ready over on Maui for slabs or anything concrete. RUclips pays all flights and finds us a place to shelter, even if it is in tents! Lets go RUclips, do something good for humanity! Peace and Love!
were safe the fires on this island are up northwest i live on the south east side. and the major fires are on maui island. Super Scary fire has killed over 50 people definitely feel bad for Maui
Yes sir thank you! Definitely looking forward to meeting and I sure do love chocolate too lol. 238-2866 is my # incase of emergency or you need a hand Mahalo and aloha 🤙🏽

I poured yesterday morning. It was a big job for a one guy job. At 60 years old i founded it tough. Not perfect but decent job. I removed the forms today. Thank you for your information you gave me. Best regard from Rouyn-Noranda, province of Quebec, Canada.
@paranoy69 Yessah braddah happy it all worked out concrete work is never easy especially by yourself. Way to hammer it out got yourself some stairs now! Maholo for the update and have a great rest of your week!
People will be walking up these stairs for the next 50-100 years - a true masterpiece beneath their feet. Appreciate the craftsmanship.

The last pour you did in Washington State was a viral set of steps?

@@thatjuanshow4485 16k is good . I'm happy to get 1 to 2 k. Obviously shorts is different. Long form is hard sometimes 16 is damn good
@GRUBB-MUDD Yah 16k is pretty cool considering lately my typical views is only a couple hundred lol definitely not breaking the internet

they demonetized the video at first but i edited my video to pass the requirements
Been a while hope all is well. Tight Lines!
Bro I hope you are safe from the fires and all is well!!! 🙏
Does that set up work with no stakes on stair? I like that
Yah no stakes on the risers. I too thought it was a good method to use. These guys have some good ideas
allo little question. do you poor the stairs beganning by the buttom or the top
If possible top down but either way . Just makes sense to work tour way down bringing any extra mud down to the next riser and so forth

@paranoy69 Id pour the walls first then the steps some mud will flow into stepz but wall first. sounds like a decent size pour good luck.
