My first car was a Lancia Fulvia sedan, very box like so it was nicknamed the Dick Tracey after the cartoon characters car, was fantastic to drive though, revved right around to 6500rpm, had disc brakes all round which trumped my mates more modern XR3 (this was 1984) and we always had a fantastic time in it, regularly getting pulled up by the old bill for no good reason. It even went all the way to St tropez and down to Marbella with a trailer on the back with 4 windsurfers. At a later date the leaf springs went on it as we liked to jump the local bridge Dukes of hazard style but we got someone in worthing that makes lorry springs to make up so new ones, they were a bit strong to say the least and it ended up looking like a hot rod so even my dad agreed we should go and jump the bridge a bit more just to break them in, happy days. I had a white Berlina. The problem with mine was the Coletta transmission at the rear of the car. Otherwise I loved it.
I had the same car in 1974's sad sale but I wanted a yacht. The sound of the webbers sucking air is the die for.
