What happened?
@@Евгений1-с4р fire accident while he was working on car. He is hospitalized recovering. ruclips.net/video/zVvt50xdvNs/видео.html
❤Get well soon! Praying for a complete recovery!
@@i1chy damn, that's crazy. Wish him well.
now that we know that hes going to be ok the real worry now is his hair OK???
Jay, I can’t tell you how much joy your videos have brought me over the years. Thank you for sharing your love of cars with us. Wishing you a swift recovery from your injuries. 🙏
Hope your doing good Jay! Watched your 1906 Stanley steamer video and was reminded of just how many things need to go right on those not to have a fire! Wish you a speedy recovery so you can get wrenching again!
Yes looking back at that video as he worked on the fuel system as it was on fire. Was sad knowing what just happened.
At 16:42 in that video is the fire
thought you'd written 'wenching' .... then put glasses on, well, whatever lights your candle .... get better soon J
I remember one shooting flames at him.
He jumped away just in time.
Wishing you a SPEEDY recovery Jay!!
One of the most tasteful resto-mods I've seen.
Very unique, that's cool.
the band aid 0n the h00d sucks
Its only a simple STRIPE but is does so much. The owner really knows what he is doing. Stunning car. Lots of little changes that you dont at first notice like the wheel lips , nickel over chrome , the blue etc etc etc. Class act this one.
I think maybe if that stripe was the same color as the rims. Less bright white. But that would be my only criticism of this amazing creation.
@@seektruth8662 It balances well with the nickel and number plates then the wheels lead you into the leather. Man splitting hairs but yep its a nice one. Id probably go a deep oxblood stripe and leather if it were mine but only dreaming it could be poo brown and id still love it.
Nickel over chrome or nickel instead of chrome?
The stripe reminds me of the leather belts that used to hold hoods closed.
@@AndrewMalkin I think of the Ecurie Francorchamps Ferrari and Dan Gurney cobra etc A not uncommon livery .
The first V6 production engine fitted in the Lancia Aurelia was actually designed by Francesco De Virgilio working for Lancia all his life from 1939. The story is well told in the magnificent book "Lancia and De Virgilio at the center" by Geoffrey Goldberg
Well said…I was going to post something similar as a correction of Jay’s commentary but you put it very well. 👍
God bless U J
I wasn't expecting a video this week. I heard that Jay is recovering good and very happy to hear that. I bet not breaking the weekly video postings makes Jay happy as much as it makes us happy. Thanks to his team :) Carry on the blue denim spirit :)
You think Jay didn't have one, two, or dozens of these vid's in the can?! Come on guy, this is Hollywood, he probably does like 5 in a day and chills for a month until its time to do it again. That's how it works around there. Now if all the sudden he stops posting weekly videos for more then a few weeks, I'd say Jay's burn was a lot more serious then made out to be.
What a genuinely beautiful guest. One of the nicest guy on the show ever.
Thank you Jay for bringing him on.
Great episode.
I am going back through all the great shows Jay gave us. Best wishes for a fast recovery Jay. ❤
As Jay said about this car "very nicely done". I have told many people that a factory stock car or truck is just a good place to start. A well thought out modification is truly a work of art and does not lose the identity of the original. I really liked the owners outlook on what he wanted from the car. I would have loved to see a couple of the before pictures in this video. Jay, sorry to hear of your accident. Godspeed in your recovery. You are one of the best of us.
There's a factory producing a limited number of Lancia Aurelia Outlaws. I'm not sure if it's the same one that created this little gem.
Praying for you Jay. You are the greatest custodian of automotive history and we need you to hang around for many years yet.
amen
and this time i mean it! my thoughts and my prayers
Agreed! He’s a down to earth ,humble man who just happens to be famous! And funny!! Watch his 4 hours worth of Letterman appearances! He’s absolutely hysterical in them. It’s 2 -3 segments. Cool thing is just him, and Dave at their peaks.
Here’s vol 1. ruclips.net/video/_M9yTG19PnE/видео.html
You know he had his own show for a couple of years right?
Speedy recovery Jay ! I do a lot of work for the Lancia guys in Australia - some are "100% originality" and some are happy to make "appropriate" improvements - which always makes the end product a better / safer / more reliable machine in my opinion. The example in this video is just gorgeous.
Get well, Jay.
Although I'm a big Lancia fan, I always thought the stock Aurelia B20 GT Coupe looked a little dowdy; this is one of the few cases where I think the mods to the appearance of a classic improve on the original. It looks sexy but tasteful. I enjoyed Mr. Otto's comments, too.
Jay, I hope you have a speedy and painless recovery (as painless as possible, anyway). Get well soon!
Mr. Otto was a great guest, well spoken and well informed.
Watched the Video update that your Dr. gave about you. I must say, when he said how your were passing out cookies and such to the children in the burn unit, I wasn't at all surprised. Such a awesome and loving genuine gentleman! Praying for a speedy recovery for you, Jay just like alot of others are! God bless and get well!!
amen
Beatiful episode: you can see from the onset that Jay is spellbound & LOVES the car (Needless to say it is Gorgeous!).... Otto was also an outstanding guest: calm, knowledgeable and well spoken, what to ask more for?
I like Otto's response to Jay's statement "This was an expensive rebuild." Kind of a wordless, "Um, yeah."
Get well soon Jay, and thanks for the great stories behind the cars you showcase. Take care.
Wishing you all the best Mr. Leno, hope to see you back soon from a speedy recovery.
It's always been a joy be it the tonight show or this.
One of the most beautiful Lancias, the most beautiful for me.... and that chop just works, the profile is gorgeous
Like many others Jay I'm praying for your quick recovery. Thanks for sharing these amazing cars and stories with us.
amen
Speedy recovery Jay!!!
Best wishes to you and your family
His team did a nice job restoring ....an the slight mods are in good taste.👍
We all are praying for you quick recovery Jay.🙏
Been praying for you Uncle Jay.
Take your time getting well my friend.
Wow that engine sound was classic Italian. The "See you next week" was poignant. Happy to know Jay is in good spirits, entertaining the hospital staff and the other patients. Class act. See you soon Jay!
Beautiful car. The mods really make the car shine.
Jay gets a day off, no having to squeeze an answer out of this dude, you can see he's 100% petrol head and into his motor, gorgeously executed.
First use of radial tires was in 1948, in a Citroen 2 CV (Citroen was owned by Michelin from 1934 to 1976)!
Jay is a true beacon of light in the car world and the world as a whole. Can't wait to come buzzing back around the light when he turns back on and makes some more episodes! Hope you get well and take care of yourself and your family first though!
Great old Lancia, first time I've seen this model. Hope you are recovering well Jay. Love and prayers.
Superbly done. The proportions are flawless. I like how the lowered body makes the beautiful front end stand out more than on stock models. I would not call this one a hotrod by any means. It's custom coachbuilding at its finest. Congratulations on leaving the hospital Jay! Looking forward to seeing you back soon.
The lack of bumpers, really cleans up the look, front and rear. On most sports cars, they look like the afterthought that they were, in the original design.
@@ramblerdave1339 Yes, that was key. To my eyes the entire build was done with excellence.
Get well soon Jay! This is the greatest show on RUclips!
That's one of the most unique, interesting car builds I've seen in awhile. Very well done!
Get well Jay ❤ love from Greece 🇬🇷
Wishing you a speedy recovery Jay, I know the pain involved with this is aweful
Very cool, proper resto-mod
Wishing Jay a swift recovery!
Truly beautiful car. Wishing you a speedy recovery Jay.
First and foremost! I wish for Jay to have a speedy recovery!
This is one of the most awesome cars of this type I've ever seen! Just beautiful, and VERY tastefully done!!! *DROOL*🤤🤤🤤❤️❤️❤️
I feel a bit guilty getting so excited to see a new video,,,,, best thoughts for Jay's speedy recovery. He's built like a Sheet-Metal-#@$%HOUSE...... hoping to hear great news of his recovery ASAP...... now to the video! :)
I feel the same knowing that he is still in bed.
Hey Jay, thanks again for another great start to the week! Hope you’re feeling better! I know… burns hurt like hell!!
I'm Italian and i approve this mod.
Seriously, it's tastefully made.
Già.. gran figata
Wishing you a speedy recovery Jay. We appreciate the work you do and the content you create.
Wow. One of the tastiest “updated” classics ever on the channel, and that’s saying something. The knowledge of these two gentleman of a “forgotten” yet infinitely desirable is the icing on the cake.
Thinking of ya Jay. Watched you for a long time. You've been on TV my whole life. Always admired your automotive knowledge. Hope this doesn't hold you down too long.
That is a great looking car. Jay, we all wish you a speedy recovery. A lot of us have car-related battle scars and we know that yours are pretty serious so our collective heart goes out to you.
Delightful car. Really well done and thought out. Love your work, sir!
Get well soon Jay.
Get well soon Jay! Praying for fast recovery, your videos and passion towards cars and what have you done with that passion is admirable. Thank you Sir! Keep on giving
Italians have always made the most beautiful machines♥
What an awesome work of art. I would have never thought of chopping a non-American car. But this shows it can be done to beautiful effect. Congratulations to the owner and best wishes to Jay
Great car, very nice mod. Praying for a speedy recovery Jay.
Hope you’re doing okay, Jay. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.
Jay, can’t wait to see you keep doing what you do. Glad you’re in good spirits.
All of us will come to a time where everything we know ends, in some way, an unknowable extent - and life goes on as it is.
Those that created this masterpiece have moved on yet their work moves us that are still living - such things define who we were after we're no longer here to speak for ourselves. Thanks to Leno and all "stewards" of worthwhile things for reminding us the quality of people that once roamed and created!
Thank you Mr Leno for all you do concerning automobiles you're immeasurable knowledge, your passion, you're brilliant sense of humor. Praying you have a speedy and 100% recovery. No matter what the outcome can't wait to see you up and running again.
Jay was released from the burn center today, Monday the 21st. Jay we all wish you a speedy recovery!!
I am not a big fan of most Resto mods but man this one was done right what a great car and Jay hope you feel better soon
One of the nicest cars I've seen on Jay's show, very tastefully done. Not the typical American brute force approach.
I'm Italian and a Lancia fun and I love the work you did on the stunning Aurelia.
e bellissima!
Even with Jay in the hospital, they still care enough about the viewers to put out videos.
Very nice indeed. My only criticism is that the roof chop is way too severe - the golden rule of ratio seems to have been broken. At least, to me.
As they said, Jack, breaking the rules was the point.
I was chatting with my dad about stand up comedians the day before Jay's accident, and I told him the only one I would pay to see is Jay Leno if he did a tour. He's a man of many personalities and talents, and I wish Mr. Leno a healthy recovery, and some his loved ones some peace of mind.
Shocked to hear about the fire, Jay. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. And thanks to Tex for sharing one of the greatest cars made even greater. Lancias of that era are so innovative, and so cool, too.
I love hearing Jay’s stories (even if I’ve heard them 10 times before), it’s like hanging out with your grandpa.
If the Italians had had a lead sled culture (I know there's no lead in this car) this is what it would of looked like. just needs lake pipes lol. Looks absolutley amazing! Speedy recovery Jay!
Would *have*
That was really bad news about the fire I hope you get better soon Mr Leno. I always look forward to these videos. Automobiles are art this one here is extra special.
Wishing you a speedy recovery from your injury. From the millions of fans across the world, you're one of a kind and a inspiration to all us car guys and gals. Love your channel and your banter with Donald. You two are so knowledgeable about anything and everything auto related. Get well soon.🔧🇺🇲🏁⛽🏍️🚙🚜🚂🚗
Sweet car Jay, prayers🙏🙏 for you old mate hoping everything comes good for you👊🙂
Cheers🍻🍺 KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸😎👍
Best wishes Jay on your speedy recovery!
WOW that is gorgeous! Wide fenders, high beltline, tall and imposing front end, all in a sinister black. I don't usually care for black on cars but this just works. I love it. Thanks for sharing!
A complete and speedy recovery to you, Jay. The automotive brotherhood needs you.
What a beast ! Jay it's pronounced Lantscia, not Lanzia please :-) Ask your ancestors ... Rode in an Aurelia in the 60's, and yes I am Italian from Milano, where they made Alfas. Liked that Fuorilegge name too. Btw I am sure you noticed near the brake fluid cap it says "Olio Vegetale" which translates to vegetable oil, most likely that was either sunflower or castor oil, used to prevent damage to rubber lines or rubber parts. Very interesting. Get well soon !!
Wishing you all the best Jay. You are definitely one of the good guys. Sending prayers up for your speedy recovery.
I'd tire of purist snobs throwing shade. This thing looks "Right". BTW...congrats on your graduation from the "Richard Pryor Institute of Advanced Pyrotechnics" 🤣 Get well soon!
Wishing Jay a speedy recovery. He’s a gem!
Speedy recovery J love the garage!! Can't wait to see you back shortly I'm sure!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!
What a beautiful car, I love the stripe and the wheels with the trim ring are perfect! Thanks for sharing! And to Jay, I hope you are healing well and will be 100% soon!
Thornely Kellam did an absolutely superb job with this Outlaw resto-mod recreation. As the owner of an original mid-50's B20S Aurelia GT with the Nardi conversion that Otto talked about in the beginning if the video I would say this is how an modern update should be done. Thanks for sharing. Stunning vehicle.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Jay.
I gotta say that you're an amazing person for all the things you do for people.
I used to watch your late night show with my grandparents as a kid and throughout the years and I've watched countless episodes of this show. And then meeting you in Vegas was just truly mind blowing and it meant the world to me that you were so kind and down to earth.
Thank you for that. I hope you get feeling better.
Get well Jay. Beautiful car. A Lancia rod. Reminds me of a 50s Merc. Something you will never see.😎😎👍❤🤑😃
That is so cool! And best wishes for a swift recovery Jay.
Such a beautiful restomod, a piece of art!
"She must have been a good cook". Ha! ...Master of euphemistic phraseology.
When I look at the chop I think of Maybach. I didn't think there would be a new JLG. All us viewers are lucky. Personality and mind-set are vital in the recovery process. Jay will astound the doctors. Thank you Jay, for years of enjoyment. I look forward to the days where you work McClaren into whatever car your featuring
I absolutely despise chopped tops. This build however, is quite beautiful. It has ever so slight hints of modern day Bently, or Bond era Aston Martin. The stripe in itself is unusual as it is transverse on the hood of the car. At first I thought it was a belt harness, but as I watched the video, I noticed it was a painted stripe. I do like it. It lets you know from the start, that what's to be expected is something unique and one of a kind. No question that it's a race car, and that is its intention regardless of the creature comforts. Happy to see this video. Eager to hear more news on your recovery Jay. Be well.
A stunningly impressive build; along with an equally impressive owner. Such a pleasant and personable guy. Over the years of watching this show; my focus on the cars has really expanded to include the owners. Jay has always brought this element up front; as being an integral part of the overall package. I really appreciate his foresight to showcase this angle into the program. I think that is the single element that has placed this show above the rest. Thanks Jay; and I pray for your complete recovery.
Except that he frequently talks over his guests and interjects with comments that show he knows less than he thinks he does, where if he'd just let them speak, we could all learn without the interruptions.
@@ianbrade7754 My sentiments exactly. For example, I wanted more info about the owner and build process. Expanded the episode description and found zip--100% about Leno.

It is gorgeous; great work, sir!
Wow! Just WOW! Love this resto-rod (that's what it is). Best wishes to Jay.
@Wasap⨁⓵⓷⓶⓪⓶⓸⓻⓹⓹⓷⓵ Oh I am sure you do lol I was born in the morning but not this morning.
Jay, Please read this comment. You are very naughty and should have always worn a fire proof head sock, a pair of fire proof goggles, and a pair of fire proof arm socks identical to those worn by F1 drivers when working on such a dangerous car. Remember to always protect yourself as you are a handsome guy who still acts and looks like a man in his mid 50's. I was shocked to hear the news because I think of you as a father, but think of what happened to you as a lesson which could have turned fatal if your friend had not been there to help you.
Beautiful car tastefully modded but looks real good, goes well, nice interior!! The owner reminds me of Scotty Kilmer.
Praying for a healthy and speedy recovery for you Jay. Our Family is so sorry this happened to you.
God Bless,
The O’Leary’s
Probably one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. The only drawback is the stripe. In a dark shade (say charcoal) it might be OK
I'm glad to hear Jay has been released from the hospital. Best wishes and a speedy recovery!
That is one damn handsome & beautifully engineered & subtle designed, best restomod car ever! Can somebody give me one for Christmas and maybe a restomoded AM DB4 too I'll be their bestest pal forever !
Get well soon Jay thank, i was assuming there might not be a video this week but, unsurprisingly Jay had us covered.
GET BETTER SOON BOSS! We are all pulling and praying for you👍👍
Absolutely awesomely beautiful car !!!.......and wishing Jay a speedy and complete recovery, we need him around!!!
Jay get well soon and thanks for doing what you do for us.
Those sunglasses turn him into a younger Scotty Kilmer.. 👀👀
I'm glad that your well and discharged from the hospital. Have a speedy recovery Jay
I think J really appreciated this car he was very quiet during the drive and I think he was really enjoying itm
