Revisiting this video once again. Indeed, a FABULOUS car. A great presantation, also featuring 2 fantastic specialists. Thank you for a well-documented Lancia Workshop.
Love Lancia's innovative tradition and I have a soft spot for classic Zagato design. Seems like a car one could use pretty normally on the road today. Decent power, disc brakes, and weather protection. And gorgeous. A classic you could use daily if you like, it is a real car.
@@tsb3093 Well now THAT makes it 300,000 times more impressive. In aircraft mechanics school I learned to work aluminum to some extent. Enough to appreciate somewhat, the grain structure of the sheet aluminum being considered when bending it on the break. Can't bend WITH the grain or you'll create a stress riser for a crack to form. look at the rear quarter panel on this car!! All those compound curves! SO much stretching and then shrinking to form it. The hood is multi-layered in parts. they all curve the same. There is steel contacting the aluminum. That's dissimilar metals corrosion waiting to eat the car! So they had to put a layer of neutral material between. (Stainless steel is not reactive, so it's okay). WOW! Just wow...I fall to my knees before it.
Forget your Ferrari 250 GTO; move over McLaren F1: the Lancia Flaminia Zagato SS is the money-no-object car I'd choose. It appeals to the discerning driver on so many levels. I could write an essay on this work of engineering elegance - and I just might. A model of understated brilliance.
This beautiful car is true vintage chic. Casually masculine in stance and movement of line from back to front. What a treasure. Whenever I see a Kidson Productions video, I know it's going to be something valuable, beautiful, and intriguing. Thank you for another wonderful piece of automotive art and passion.
it is a Lancia, i would have loved to get a look underneath, maybe put it up on the lift. And, of course, it is a car, fire it up and drive it. If the seats are not correct, maybe a picture of the correct ones? music did not bother me. having a designer and a restorer talk about the car was nice. I would love to see one of the Zagato Jaguar XK140s. a huge leap in design forward some 20 years compared to the original XK and the later XJ.
Highly appreciable than a 250 Ferrari, even a Lusso... It has the difference which confers on exception. If you drive a Ferrari, you slide on tarmac with this Flaminia.
sadly soon classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. Called Bundesabgasbespaßungsverordnung in German.
this would have been a perfect video...if not for the horrendous music...would actually loved to have listened to the discussion...really...really serious petrol heads hate this stuff....God bless Harry`s Garage!....and it sounds like bloody Funeral music...
The music was too loud in many parts of this presentation. It stepped on the conversation taking place. Annoying frustrating and totally unnecessary . The audio was very poorly mixed.
Would it really take Fiat and co much effort to re-establish the brand with a modern recreation? I had 3 Lancia's - they were terrible and brilliant but better than a Skoda at the time and look how VW have turned that around.
How many cars of the 1950s had all round disc brakes, inside at the back, a rear mounted transaxle/gear box, a V6 engine? It took Alfa about 25 years to produce the V6 GTV that has the same design package! It was very advanced engineering for its day.
For me, the perfect car of all the time. So unique design, with gorgeous color. A kind of Ecstasy at my eyes!!
THIS IS NOT ONLY A CAR, IT'S PURE ART!
THIS LANCIA LOOKS EVEN TODAY STILL MODERN!!

Zagato was a genius!
I do not think my eyes have ever witnessed such beauty in steel before.
The body is Aluminium.

Brilliant to hear the words of designer Alessandro Santori. Really enjoy the connection between cars and fashion, design and life.
the top of elegance this car a jewel of automotive design , refinated and beautifull
Timeless design, pure perfection!
Exactly, Timeless, no other word can explain better the sense looking him

I’m with you on what you say but just one point…the car in the video is not a Super Sport…but a Flaminia Sport….both are beautiful though.
Great interviews! Would love to reduce or cut the music. The subjects are plenty interesting
Classic design and very elegant, truly beautiful automobiles.
Una delle auto più belle mai costruite.
Si signor, si migliaia di volte... (I just use the translation and hope that I'm not wrong, lol).
ho visto poche persone avere ragione come Te Salvatore
Just a beautiful car and so nice to hear the opinions of these guys. Wonderful.
What a beauty, the last of the sexy/substantial Lancias. You'd have to point a gun to my head to choose between a Flaminia Zagato or a B24 .

Thank you!
This car's proportions always remind me of the 250 SWB.
Truly, a Fabulous Car.
And a rather Intelligent Vídeo.
Thank you for this creative presentation
i love the double bubble too
Wonderful blazer Sir 😉👍
Beautiful!❤
I just love this channel!! Automotive art.
Absolutely stunning.
Dream car

Gorgeous thanks, any thoughts of the 2.5 vs 2.8 engines?
Très belle voiture !!

This kind of art on wheels remind me the Type E lightweight low drag: a search for perfection from an already iconic model !
Great video but the music level is too loud compared to the spoken word!
Sublime!

Why does the host keep talking over the restorer, or trying to finish his sentences? And why does he dress like David Niven?
Grandissimo Filippo
Super ...
thank you
Who has set the thumbs down?
don't worry :)
Charme of the DB5
this car is a clay design. Our today’s cars are cad cars. Why not going back to clay ? so better !
Couldn't hear the man speak, because of the intrusive music.

it's a shame the camera kept drifting away from the car to a rather ugly, badly dressed bloke
It's not a masterpiece.

Interfering music overlay , really unprofessional infact! Really interfered with the dialogue .
Queste erano le vetture che Lancia produceva...
Eccellente
