That bass at 3:15. Almost makes me wish I could listen to all metal songs with only bass guitar and drums
The sound of bass sounds really good
Freakin Adam running around in the background lol
Zachary Maes Adam trips me TF out bruh.
Adam is my Boy!!
The fact that just did this with just one foot amazes me. I know this isnt the hardest song to play on drums but it isn't that easy either
i watched them play this live recently (September 2nd) in L.A. it was awesome and the crowd was bat shit crazy!
BEST BAND EVER
WORST CROWD EVER
I think that's because of a lack light effects or scene effect stuff... you know like fire or smth... somehow it pumps up crowd with POWWEEEER
That's because there are seats at that venue- there is no open floor. I have been there before.
fortressmentality That’s ridiculous!! lol
Zildjian please un discontinue that china. I used it for years and I am really bummed that I can only get it in 17" now.
at 1:46... seriously that he does it with one pedal ? Owned
trust me, it is quite easy :D i've tried it on my own :D
from one drummer to another it might be 'easy' to do once of twice, but to do it through the whole song with 5-10 more songs in a set is quite impressive, since it is an easy way to fatigue one foot before the other and end up with sloppy double kick, which he clearly doesnt
+Josh Scott yeah! Shure about it! Good stamina and technique
Na that's not too crazy. The guy is a legitimate beast though.
+Gnarl Sagan lots of drummers of woundnt handle to do it on single pedal. Not easy to maintain on the chorus. i realize that Justin dont overplay like others metalcore drummers just because he preferer to "overplay" on little parts. He is very solid and groovy
oooh this song reminds me of high school, and a great playthrought to boot. thanks for posting! as a heads up the song title is just "My Curse"
We can read
i appreciate the snark lmao. when they first posted it they listed the name as "This is My Curse" it still lists it as such in the vid at 0:10 but they fixed it otherwise
Leighton Taylor a year later and you still look like an idiot LOL
ragingscythe noticed this too.
Barefoot drummers unite!
Also, is the singer wearing a Bad Brains shirt?
I believe so. Jesse loves Bad Brains.
That's awesome
Home-made too
Love it
I've never seen a drummer play on stage barefoot
And why in the hell didn’t Zildjian use the audio from Venue’s soundboard?? To me, it sounds like they used Overhead mics or just a camera mic. Sounds horrible and that’s not what was being sent to the speakers on stage.
Yeah, Get it Son!!
Cool!
David Curtis Drumming
Well hello there
That's one dead crowd...
Gabriel Guimond-Mercille that’s what o thought
It's not really possible to go ape-shit at that venue because there are seats- there is no open floor. I have been there before.
I could not dare play barefoot. The beater swings back and pounds the top of my feet lol
Change the angle of your beaters....
Any one know the pedals he uses?
In an interview he said they were some ancient Yamaha pedals. Like, can't get parts for em any more ancient. But, that was a while ago.
Chris Gutierrez Think they're Yamaha's direct drive pedals but could be wrong
yamaha flying dragons. used to use a chain drive, not sure if these are it... or direct drive.
Yamaha Flying Dragon DFP 9410 and they're brutal!
What is the tuning of those floor toms, dicusting!!!
As low as he wants them? I use stupid low floor tuning and I love em
The difference in the kit and front of house are Miles apart
The floor toms sound like a floppy mess but either way this dude is a killer artist and is nasty I love killswitch engage
His snare is so low and it looks like he sits with a forward tilt... That doesn’t look like a comfortable way to play at all..... Whatever works for him tho I guess...
that china cuts as fuuuuuck
His drums, especially his snare are low af
Ya I thought that too. Especially that snare. Maybe it's easier to get power to hit the head for him live? Who knows. The dude obviously knows what he's doing though. His technique is so solid.
@Alex King It's a metalcore thing. A lot of there drum sets have everything low, especially there snares. Flat and low.
Single peda??!?! fast feet I thought he was playing double 🦵
He has a double
Mike was too loud...
Barefoot drumming is weirc
Id like to hear more of the song
I understand that they want us to her the cymbals and the drums, but I couldnt keep track of where the song was and it sucked
But that's just me
